Quick Facts About Shang Hai
Shang Hai place, as described by the comments, has both strengths and weaknesses. Starting with the strengths, one comment highlights the fresh ingredients used in their dishes. The comment states that the restaurant hand picks the freshest and most tender vegetables for their dishes. This emphasis on serving fresh ingredients can be seen as a strength, as it ensures the quality and taste of the food.
Another strength that is mentioned in the comments is the friendly and warm atmosphere of the restaurant. The comment states that the owner, who is also one of the chefs, cares a great deal about the food and that the staff are super friendly. This creates a sense of hospitality and makes the customers feel welcome and valued. The fact that the restaurant has been family-owned and around for a long time also indicates that they have a loyal customer base and are doing something right to stay in business.
Additionally, one comment mentions that the food is hot and made to order, indicating that the restaurant takes care to provide freshly cooked meals. This can be seen as a strength as it ensures that the customers receive their food at the right temperature and that it is made specifically for them.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one comment describes a disappointing experience where the customer ordered shrimp lo mein but received Ramen Noodles with shrimp and vegetables instead. This mix-up in the order can be seen as a weakness, as it indicates a lack of attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling the customers' orders.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. One customer describes that the restaurant needs to be cleaned and painted, implying that the aesthetic condition is not up to standards. This can create a negative impression on the customers and may impact their dining experience.
Furthermore, there are multiple comments that criticize the quality and taste of the food. One comment mentions that the chicken in the Chicken and Broccoli dish did not look like chicken and was dry. Although the owner/chef tried to rectify the situation by making a new plate, the fact that only one new plate was brought out instead of two can be seen as a weakness in addressing customer complaints.
Two comments specifically mention that the food tasted terrible or was one of the worst they have ever had. This indicates a major weakness in the quality and taste of the dishes. One customer mentions that the General Tso's Chicken was horrible and that the rice was not authentic Chinese fried rice. Another customer specifies that the sesame beef did not taste like beef and that the other dishes, such as egg fu young and shrimp fried rice, were burnt, unattractive, and old-tasting.
In summary, Shang Hai place has strengths in terms of serving fresh ingredients, a friendly atmosphere, and providing hot, made-to-order food. However, weaknesses include order mix-ups, cleanliness issues, and negative feedback on the quality and taste of the food. These weaknesses need to be addressed and improved upon in order to provide a better dining experience for customers.

Disappointing meal today from this establishment. I ordered shrimp lo mein, and got a serving of Ramen Noodles with shrimp and vegetables. The food was fresh, but not tasty at all. This is my first experience with a restaurant serving Ramen Noodles as lo mein.
Our family love this restaurant. Owner is also one of the chef and so he care a great deal about the food he serves. This is a family owned business and has been around forever. They must be doing something right. Everyone one who works there are super friendly and warm. If you don't know what you want just tell them and they will for sure try to find a dish that satisfy your craving. It is definite a gem in the community.
Oh one of the most important thing that I must note here is that they hand picked all the fresh veggies and only put the freshest and most tender veggies on the plate.
The restaurant needs to be cleaned and painted. My husband and I ordered the same thing, Chicken and Broccoli, it was terrible. The chicken DID NOT look like chicken. The man saw that we were not eating and so he came over to the table. My husband told him the chicken was dry. The man took my husband's dish and went in the back and made him a new platter. We sat there thinking he was going to bring out 2 new dishes but no. He only brought out 1 for my husband. It took every ounce of me to control my temper but that only lasted until we got to the car. DID NOT GO HERE!

One of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The General Tso's Chicken was horrible, the rice was not authentic Chinese fried rice, everything tasted terrible and old.
This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The best thing on the menu was the water. I ordered the I ordered no yeah I ordered the sesame beef and I could not tell that it was beef actually it came with broccoli which was good good I enjoyed the broccoli more than I enjoyed the whole meal. The egg full young was burnt Bert nasty unattractive unattractive and the shrimp fried rice that we ordered the rice was day old or 2.
