Quick Facts About Smithfield Cafe

The Smithfield Cafe has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one of the standout features of the cafe is the English breakfast on offer. Customers mentioned that they really enjoyed it and appreciated the variety of items available. The ability to customize the breakfast by adding items as desired was also praised. Additionally, customers mentioned that the portions were huge, offering great value for the price. This is a definite strength as it ensures that customers leave the cafe satisfied and full.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the friendly staff and owner. They mentioned that it was a nice place to have a chat with them, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. This friendly atmosphere is certainly a positive aspect of the cafe and can make customers feel welcomed and comfortable.
In terms of pricing, several customers mentioned that it was reasonable for London. This is a strength as affordability is often a concern in the city, so having a cafe that offers good value for the price is a definite advantage.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common critique was that the cafe lacks charm and "soul" compared to other cafes. This can be seen as a weakness as customers may prefer a more unique or atmospheric dining experience. However, it should be noted that this criticism is subjective and may vary from person to person.
Another weakness mentioned is the limited size of the cafe. While some customers found it charming, others felt that it was small and cramped. This can be a drawback for those who prefer more space or have mobility concerns.
The comment about the portions being tiny is also a weakness. While some customers appreciated the huge portions, others felt that the breakfast was not substantial enough. This can be seen as a weakness as customers may expect more for the price they are paying.
Some customers also mentioned issues with the quality of certain items in the breakfast. One customer mentioned overcooked eggs, while another mentioned small-sized sausages and bacon. These quality issues can be seen as weaknesses as they may affect the overall dining experience and leave customers disappointed.
Lastly, there are a few negative comments about the cleanliness and quality of the food. One customer mentioned "tinned mushrooms" and "dirty gray sausages", while another described the food as "filth." These comments indicate a serious problem with food quality and cleanliness, which is a major weakness for any establishment.
In conclusion, the Smithfield Cafe has strengths such as a popular English breakfast with customization options and huge portions, friendly staff and owner, and reasonable pricing for London. However, there are several weaknesses including a lack of charm compared to other cafes, a small size, portions that some may find insufficient, quality issues with certain items, and negative comments about cleanliness and food quality.

Best TL Reviews

Really enjoyed the English breakfast on offer here. Plenty of variety and can add items as desired to you meal. Portions were huge. Price was very good and was a winner for us. Come here to enjoy a nice chat with the owner and staff, who were very friendly.
Salamat!
Unpretentious and reliable cafe for a full English breakfast. Bit on the small side but that’s the charm. Also the door is really close so you get plenty of ventilation. The prices are reasonable for London. I get also get chips and a fried slice! What’s there not to like?
Good caf for a filling breakfast and tea if you're in the area. Lacks that "soul" and charm that other cafs have, but not a bad meal overall. Good service. Not the best eggs I've had (one was overcooked) but it gets the job done for breakfast. Wouldn't go out my way, but if I was hungry, in the area and needed a cheap breakfast I'd go back.
First time I’ve ever been in a London cafe where your portion of bacon is one rasher! The breakfast was pretty nice but it was absolutely tiny, the sausages are the size of your thumb. £5.30 for one sausage one bacon one egg fried slice and beans is probably not bad value for the area but I needed the breakfast again once I was finished.
Good little old school cafe, good prices considering where you are. Small inside but quick service. Anyone complaining about the number of items you get, they’re clearly marked on the menu and you can always add items!
Came here for an early Sunday breakfast. Friendly staff and food arrived quickly. Tasted great and good for the price
The worst cafe I have ever been in ,
Opposite the biggest meat market in uk and the must buy there food from a corner shop.
Tinned mushrooms ,dirty gray sauage
Re cooked bacon
Filth
I’m leaving this review in case I don’t survive the sausage sandwich I had here. Although can’t argue with the old school cafe interior
