Starting with the strengths, the comments highlight that the food selection at Speke Hall café is superb and all the dishes look tasty. This indicates that the café offers a wide variety of options that are appealing to customers. The café also receives praise for its friendly and efficient service, which is considered a welcome treat on a chilly winter's day. Furthermore, the comments reveal that the café takes pride in using fresh ingredients from reputable suppliers for their food. This indicates a commitment to quality and potentially enhances the overall dining experience. Additionally, the café is mentioned to have options for vegans, suggesting that it accommodates different dietary preferences and offers inclusivity.
The comments also mention that the café offers fresh desserts and coffee. This is a positive attribute as it indicates a commitment to providing high-quality and enjoyable sweet treats and hot beverages. The affordability of the food is mentioned as well, which is a positive factor for customers looking for reasonably priced options. Moving on to the weaknesses, one of the main criticisms mentioned is the poor service involving the removal of cake trays while customers were still queuing. This is seen as unacceptable as it creates a negative customer experience and suggests a lack of consideration for paying customers. Another weakness highlighted is the limited availability of hot food options, with only cooked potato wedges being available at a certain time. This can be seen as a disappointment for customers expecting a wider variety of hot meals.
Several comments refer to the high prices of certain items. One customer mentions that £25 for 4 scones with jam and cream, 2 coffees, and 2 soft drinks is quite expensive. Additionally, it is mentioned that additional charges for jam, cream, and butter were required for the scones, which adds to the overall expense. This can be seen as a deterrent for some customers looking for more affordable dining options.
There are also comments regarding confusion among the staff concerning drink orders. Some customers experienced delays in receiving their drinks despite already paying for them. This suggests a lack of coordination or effective communication among the staff members.
Lastly, the lack of available tables for large parties is noted as a weakness. One customer mentions witnessing a large party with babies and toddlers struggling to find seating. This indicates that the café may not be adequately prepared to accommodate larger groups, causing inconvenience and discomfort for customers.
In conclusion, Speke Hall café has several strengths, including a superb food selection, friendly and efficient service, fresh desserts and coffee, and a clean space with helpful staff. However, there are also weaknesses to address, such as poor service, limited hot food options, expensive prices for certain items, confusion regarding staff responsibilities, and a lack of available tables for large parties. Best TL Reviews

We started queuing at 2-30pm which was fine however the staff started removing the cakes trays from the display wrapping them in cling film and taking them into the back of the cafe. This was while we were still in the queue at 3pm. Very poor service considering there was still an hour to go.
Superb food selection, all looked so tasty. We plumped for a toasted Panini and a croque. Friendly and efficient service. Most welcome on a chilly winter's day.
Bardzo dobre jedzenie, robione na miejscu. Wszystkie warzywa mają od najlepszych dostawców. Mięso z tego co się dowiedziałem jest produkowane w UK.
Maja również opcje vegan.
Desery oraz kawa również świeże.
£25 for 4 x scones with jam and cream, and 2 x coffees and 2 x soft drinks. Seemed quite expensive to me. Although scones were good had to pay additionally for jam, cream & butter.
After trudging through the wet gardens with the hall being closed we decided to have a meal in the cafe/restaurant. It was only 2pm and there was no hot food available apart from some potato wedges that were already cooked. We had some of those and took our seats with a hot drink each and we were watching the staff cordoning off the tables for cleaning even though they don't close until 4.
A large party arrived after us with babies in prams and toddlers who were all crammed together on two tables that they had to push together. Lord knows what they found to eat for those babies and little ones!
We WILL be back hoping to see inside the hall as it must be 40 years since we have been and really wanted to see it in its beautiful glory as it used to be.
Seems like a nice hall but today everything apart from a pizza van was open. A 40 quid day out for a couple. Maybe save your money and go Wales for the day.
Food good service not so to many staff taking orders but not enough staff on drinks so there seem to be some confusion who was actually on drinks. I had to ask after waiting & paying & other people were getting there drinks before me.
A clean space with very helpful staff who go above and beyond to get you what you want. Affordable, tasty food and a nice outside seating area.
