Quick Facts About Sports Hair Salon

Strengths:
1. Affordable pricing: Many customers commented on the reasonable prices at Sports Hair Salon. This is seen as a major strength, especially when compared to other hair salons in the area. The value for money is highly appreciated by the customers.
2. Skilled and efficient haircuts: Several customers praised the skill and expertise of the hairstylists at Sports Hair Salon. They mentioned that their haircuts were precise, detailed, and tailored to their specific needs. The stylists were commended for being able to handle different hair types and styles, including challenging ones like Asian hair.
3. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere: The general ambiance of Sports Hair Salon is described as warm and friendly. Customers appreciate the comfortable and relaxed environment, which feels more like a neighborhood barbershop rather than a commercialized chain. This creates a positive experience for customers, making them feel valued and at ease.
4. Consistent service: The salon's ability to provide consistent and reliable service is seen as a strength. It is mentioned that many customers have been loyal to Sports Hair Salon for several years, indicating their satisfaction with the quality of service they receive. Having a go-to place that consistently meets expectations is highly valued.
5. Catering to all genders, ethnicities, and styles: Customers appreciated that Sports Hair Salon caters to diverse clientele. They mentioned seeing hairstylists confidently cut hair for people of all genders, ethnicities, and styles. This inclusivity and ability to cater to a wide range of customers is seen as a strength.
Weaknesses:
1. Limited focus on women's haircuts: One customer mentioned that Sports Hair Salon seems to specialize more in men's haircuts. They had a negative experience when getting a women's cut, feeling that their hair was cut dry instead of wet, and there was a misunderstanding regarding the requested layers. This suggests that the salon may not be the best choice for women looking for specific cuts or styling.
2. Potential time and speed inconsistency: One customer stated that they felt their haircut took only 10-15 minutes but were still charged $40. This raises concerns about inconsistency in the time and speed of service provided. It is possible that some customers may feel rushed or that the length of time spent on their hair doesn't match the price charged.
3. Cash-only policy: Sports Hair Salon only accepts cash for payment, as mentioned by a customer. This can be seen as a weakness in today's digital age, where most people prefer to use credit or debit cards for payments. Some customers may find this inconvenient and may be discouraged from going to the salon due to this policy.
4. Walk-ins only policy: Another weakness mentioned is that Sports Hair Salon does not accept appointments and operates on a walk-in basis only. While this can be convenient for spontaneous customers or those in a rush, it may disrupt the experience for those who prefer to plan their appointments in advance. The inability to make an appointment could result in longer waiting times, especially during busy periods.
5. Lack of availability for women's haircuts on certain days: One customer advised that if you're a woman looking to get a haircut, it would be best to call and inquire about the availability of stylists who specialize in women's haircuts. This suggests that there may be limited availability of stylists for women's haircuts on certain days, potentially inconveniencing female customers who wish to visit the salon.
In conclusion, Sports Hair Salon has several strengths, such as affordable pricing, skilled and efficient haircuts, a friendly atmosphere, consistent service, and the ability to cater to diverse clientele. However, there are also weaknesses, including a limited focus on women's haircuts, potential time and speed inconsistency, a cash-only policy, a walk-ins only policy, and limited availability for women's haircuts on certain days. These strengths and weaknesses should be taken into consideration by potential customers when deciding whether to visit this salon.

Best TL Reviews

Probably better for men's haircuts. I went in for a women's cut, and while they were careful to match the length I wanted, my hair was cut while completely dry (the men's hair was cut wet.) I asked for light layers specify requesting no point cuts up front, but their "layering" was only point cuts. I ended the haircut early so it wouldn't thin out the rest of my hair. Cut was charged $40 even though I don't think it took longer than 10-15 min. I did see several men walk out looking satisfied with their polished haircuts, but this was not the place for me.
Great service! My husband got his hair cut here, the hairstylist was very professional and took a good amount of time. We were very happy with the result. This place is less expensive than other hair salon in the area. If you are a woman I recommend that you call to see which day there is someone who cut woman's hair because they specialize on man's haircuts.
This place is the best! I've been coming here for 7 years and haven't thought to go anywhere else. Great to have a consistent and affordable place to go to every month. Staff are very friendly. Feels more like a neighborhood barbershop than an overly commercialized chain. I've seen them cut hair for all genders, ethnicities, and styles.
Nice service, and reasonable price for $25 male haircut.
The barber is really detailed given the price, a recommended hair salon!
Linda (sp?) is a true pro providing a skilled and efficient cut. I have Asian hair which has been challenging for many barbers and stylists during my lifetime. Linda is a master with the shears, to which my hair responds much better than clippers. The price is super reasonable which makes the entire experience a great value.
Grew my hair out for 2 years and wanted to make it short again. Was understandably nervous as this was my first time here, but the reviews were great so I thought I’d give it a shot. Did not disappoint - super happy with the haircut and at $25 it was an incredible deal.
I’ve been using the shop for almost three years. Dedicated people who care and who grew their business on the belief that you could provide a good haircut at a fair price. Not only have my haircuts been good, the price is half of what other shops charge in Seattle. Allows me to tip five or ten dollars a time - they’re that good.
Very good and inexpensive (by Seattle standards) small hair salon located in First Hill. Men's haircut was 20$ (they take cash only , no credit cards). it was a good haircut at a good price. Walk-in's only (no appointments accepted), they have a sign up sheet outside if they are busy.
