I ordered a Lebanese salad which consisted of lots of shredded green salad leaves, a cherry tomato chopped in half no sweet peppers or courgettes. I asked for the rest of the salad and was given a couple of chopped sweet peppers and a slice of courgette. No apology no nothing. Overpriced shredded leaves and it wasn’t too exciting either. Very disappointed.
Always a good lunch here. It’s not a restaurant as such so don’t think ‘table service etc’. It’s not that kind of place. You order what you want and the bring it it to you. And the food is very nice. The posh cheese on toast is very popular and it’s obvious why. A big breakfast is only served in the mornings where an all day breakfast is well, all day. But I don’t understand the difference really. Ones got toast and an extra couple of items like 2 sausages instead of one but if your cooking them anyway what’s the difference?
Regardless it’s very good food and very friendly. I’d recommend it if your visiting and fancy a decent lunch and a nice coffee. It’s always good ????????
My partner and I have eaten here a couple of times while visiting family in Stamford. Food is nicely cooked and served promptly with generous portions. Staff are friendly, polite and hard working. Cafe is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is welcoming. I would recommend Strays to anyone who wants a good, value for money meal served quickly.
We only stop here for coffee when cakes n’ co are closed. We used to have breakfast here but no more! The waiting time is horrendous even with plenty of staff. The food is okay, but the last time I had a bacon bap and they must’ve dipped the bap in the oil too, as it was incredibly greasy and it’s all you could taste.
Absolutely brilliant jazz night with Gary Reader and the in-house jazz band. I can’t wait for the next event. Thanks to Mat, the band and the team for another great jazz evening. Food, drink and service were all tip top.
Such a great place to eat light bites and have good coffees. As a vegetarian, I always have plenty of options. Not to mention the amazing friendly service and the good live jazz they provide. Hubby and I always love our Stray♡
Very good service and the hazelnut latte was the best I have tasted. We enjoyed our visit, we will come again.
Amazing place to relax and enjoy the best coffee. All the staff, including Jo the brilliant supervisor, are friendly, happy and welcoming. The food is really good and nothing is too much effort for them. Make it your first place to visit.
