Worth walking out on The Spit when the tide is out and looking back at the beach huts for a different and colourful perspective on the slopes. Accessible walks into Whitstable or towards Herne Bay. Plenty of free parking along the road and public toilets at regular intervals.
Nice place for a stroll along the promenade. If you are there at low tide try taking a walk down "the street" which is a shingle bank exposed at low tide going out to sea for quite a way but be watchful for the tide turning!
