Quick Facts About The Blue Anchor

The Blue Anchor place has both strengths and weaknesses, as indicated by the comments provided. Let's break them down:
Strengths: 1. Convenient location: The accommodation is mentioned to be handy to where the guests had parked their car in Weybridge. This suggests that it is easily accessible and close to parking facilities. 2. Clean room and comfortable bed: Guests found the room to be clean and the bed comfortable. This is important as it contributes to a pleasant and comfortable stay. 3. Tea and coffee facilities: Having tea and coffee facilities in the room is a convenient amenity that allows guests to enjoy hot beverages at their convenience. 4. Friendly and helpful staff: Many comments highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were described as brilliant, lovely, and efficient. Friendly and helpful staff enhance the overall experience for guests.
Weaknesses: 1. Uncertainty regarding breakfast charges: Guests expressed confusion about whether they would be charged for the breakfast basket, as there was no chef available for a cooked breakfast. This lack of clarity may be frustrating for guests who expect breakfast to be included in their stay. 2. Limited availability of staff: Some guests had difficulty finding someone on site to pay for their room or check out. The lack of staff availability may pose challenges for guests who need assistance or have time-sensitive plans. 3. Not suitable for early departures: The comment mentions that the Blue Anchor place is not suitable for guests who want to leave early, suggesting that there may be limited or no staff available during early hours. This can inconvenience guests who have early morning plans. 4. Basic and limited amenities: While the room is clean and the bed comfortable, some guests were disappointed with the size and condition of the rooms. They mentioned that the rooms were tiny, cramped, hot, and stuffy with poor air flow. The showers were described as useless, with low water pressure. Additionally, the comment mentioned that the rooms smelled of bins located next to the building. These factors indicate that the accommodations may not meet the standards of luxury and may not be suitable for guests looking for a more premium experience.
In summary, the strengths of The Blue Anchor place include its convenient location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, tea and coffee facilities, and friendly staff. However, it has weaknesses such as uncertainty regarding breakfast charges, limited availability of staff, unsuitability for early departures, and basic and limited amenities in some rooms.

The accomodation was handy to were we had parked our car at Weybridge but the room was clean and bed comfortable. Their was tea and coffee facilities in our room, towels but we were unsure if we would be charged for the breakfast basket which contained instant porridge and muesli bars as there was no chef available until 12 to have a cooked breakfast if that was available. We had to phone the owner to pay for our room as no-one was on site as we didn't see anyone until we saw a handy man in the car park who phoned someone( the owner) as we were told no-one would be around until 11ish to check out. This is not suitable if you wanted to leave early like we wanted
The staff here the two lads behind the bar were absolutely brilliant. Me and my wife came in for a meal and was treated very well couldn't fault the service...
If you are looking for cheap accomadation, on the perifery of London and you need a nice warm room and bed, with tea making facilities, then look no further. For £ 55.00 you cannot go wrong. Many local amenities including oposite a kebab shop and an exellent Indian takaway, the pub is also well stocked with a good variety of drinks and a pub food menu. However it would not tick the box of luxury accomadation and if you where taking the other half for a weekend, in order to make an impression, then it may not be a viable option. Enjoyable over night stay and many thanks to all staff who where very friendly and helpful.
Popped in the pub for my first pub lunch since covid began.
Staff were extremely helpful, and the Pulled Pork Burger was amazing.
Plenty of room, both inside and out.
Will be back at first opportunity.
Very nice..
Super friendly and efficient staff. All the locals are lovely. 1st time a pub has felt like a proper pub forever, will go back again x
Lovely staff who couldn't do enough for us. Locals were really friendly and made us feel welcome. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay, they were cleaned every day And most importantly the tea and coffee making facilities were replenished daily!
The Sunday roast at the Blue Anchor has never disappointed me and my family. It's tasty, generously sized and very good value, but after becoming vegetarian recently I was concerned that I might have to go without the next time I went. Anyway, finding out that I would not be deprived, as the landlord, Matt, was already working on and serving up some new vegetarian and vegan dishes, I got to try out the Mushroom Wellington at the weekend. Served up with all the trimmings plus vegan Yorkshire Puddings and gravy it was a really substantial and delicious treat! I would highly recommend it to fellow vegetarians and meat-eaters alike and am already looking forward to going back for more.
Stayed in the rooms out the back of the pub, tiny, cramped and extremely hot and stuffy with no air flow, showers are useless can’t get an pressure from them, the room smelt of the bins that are nicely placed next too the building. On the upside kept clean.
The only thing I enjoyed was the food inside the pub.
Ok for a last minuet desperate booking but wouldn’t purposely choose this place again.
