This is a great find. Really would recommend a visit to this place.
Fantastic pub, friendly bar staff, landlords a funny guy, very accommodating, food is insanely good value, our meal for two came to 46 quid, where we are from in Kent it would of been closer to 70 !
Portions huge, steak cuts are great, cooked just the way I like it.
Good selection of beers on tap, nice intimate small dining area, would definitely return again...
Oh and he has an amazing dog .. ????
What a brilliant little find.
An old fashioned English pub, serving great beer and quality good old ashioned English food, at prices that wont break the bank.
Quality ingredients, home cooked food.
Serving food from when they open.
Tonight Thursday is steak night.
I have health issues with certain foods and found nothing was too much trouble for the chef in the kitchen to customize my meal from what was on the menu.
My husband, who after a couple of beers chose the mixed grill and throughly enjoyed, especially as most place we go out to eat don't have French mustard, infact this pub have a great selection of condiments.
I chose the gammon, pineapple and salad, usually comes with peas and chips. Both were cooked to perfection, moist, succulent and not over cooked. Hot plates.
Fantastic, highly recommend and we will be back.
Amazing atmosphere here! We've had very warm welcome and the owners been super nice literally from the moment we've stepped in. Great selection of food and drinks, delicious starter and super competitive prices.
Whitebait with lemon mayo very tasty ????.
Steak was awesome ????
Nice garden at the back, so we could sit outside. Kids menu available. Space to park at the front.
Overall experience today was great and we will come back here again 5⭐
Warm friendly welcome with a great selection of reasonably priced beers, ciders and wines. Good choice of freshly cooked food to order. Dog friendly
1st time in this little jem of a pub, proper pub feel which is rare these days, excellent choice of ales and lagers. Food looked really good although we didn't eat as we only popped in for a few drinks on the way home from work but will definitely use again and maybe even try the food.
Accidentally stumbled across this pub after visiting a couple which were too busy nearer the coast. We specifically wanted somewhere dog friendly as we can't leave them at the campsite. We had 3 kids with us, who all found something on the menu (which is usually a challenge) there was a big selection and what we ordered was spot on. Lance had the mixed grill and loved it (he normally moans about his steaks but said it was really nice) the puddings were lovely too. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again!!
had to do a emergency stop due to my little lad being sick everywhere in car i asked if i could grab a roll of tissue to clean up the mess and the owner was arrogant and rude as hell and extremely stuck up his own behind!!! Never again will i walk into the establishment where people can be so rude!!! luckily a lovely lady few doors down had seen what had happened and come out with blueroll and soapy water and a couple of sponges... replying to the response of the owner regardless if im a customer or not we asked for a roll not just a couple bits of tissue either way your hospitality was discussing your pub stank of urine.
Great old fashion pub great food without the heavy price tag.and friendly landlord and landlady, and staff.
