Quick Facts About The Front Parlour
The Front Parlour place has several strengths based on the comments provided. One of the main strengths is their friendly staff. Multiple comments mention the staff being very nice and friendly, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for customers. This is an important aspect of any establishment as it can greatly impact the overall experience for customers.
Another strength of The Front Parlour place is the premises. Comments describe the premises as nice and clean, with a pleasant decor. This adds to the overall ambiance and creates a pleasing environment for patrons. Additionally, there is plenty of seating both inside and outside, providing options for customers depending on their preferences.
The affordability of the food is also mentioned as a strength. One comment states that a meal for a family of four, including drinks, came to about £34, which is considered good value for money. This affordability can be attractive to customers, especially families or those on a budget.
Several comments highlight the quality of the food at The Front Parlour place. While there were some mixed reviews about certain dishes, overall, the food is described as good and tasty. Some specific dishes that were highly praised include the cream tea, roast dinners, pork carvery, and ploughman's. These positive mentions indicate that there are some standout dishes worth trying at this establishment.
In terms of weaknesses, one comment mentions that The Front Parlour place only accepts cash payments. In today's modern society, where cashless transactions are becoming increasingly common, this could be seen as a disadvantage. It may inconvenience some customers who prefer or rely on card payments.
Another weakness mentioned is regarding the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, with one comment stating that they tasted like Aunt Bessie's or supermarket pre-cooked items. This suggests that the quality of these particular items may not meet customer expectations. However, it is important to note that this was just one review and other comments did not mention any issues with the food.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is an error in the order, where the customer was overcharged, and someone else's items were included in their bill. While the mistake was quickly corrected, it suggests that there may be some issues with accuracy and attention to detail when taking and processing orders. This could potentially cause inconvenience or confusion for customers.
Overall, The Front Parlour place appears to have several strengths that make it a worth visiting establishment. The friendly staff, nice premises, affordability, and positive mentions of specific food items are all attractive qualities that can draw customers in. However, there are a couple of weaknesses to consider, such as the cash-only policy and potential errors in order processing.

Very friendly staff, very nice premises and worth a visit, possibly better for a tea and cake rather than a meal. They only take cash at the time of our visit (Oct 21) which makes life difficult these days.
We went on a Sunday and had 2 roast dinners and 2 kids meals with 3 drinks, this came to about £34.
The food was pretty good but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding tasted like Aunt Bessie's or supermarket pre cooked. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The kids enjoyed theirs and didn't complain at all.
The cakes at the counter looked amazing but we didn't indulge this time.
Unfortunately there was some mistake and we were over charged, it was quickly corrected and no harm done. Definitely worth doing a mental check on their maths as the order had been recorded incorrectly and someone else's cakes had been put on our order.
Worth a visit.
