Great choice of beers and ciders. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately no atmosphere and quite pricey for Newton Abbot. Very handy if you have 5 minutes to spare before your train.

Good selection of beers, dart board, TV showing sports, plenty of seating.
A good old traditional pub! Great prices, real ales and friendly staff.
Convenient for the railway station.
Parking is limited but available.
Seating inside, outside under cover and outside on benches. Plenty of space.
Definitely recommend this place for a real pub not eatery.
Waited here to be picked up having arrived by train. Surprisingly fine array of real ales, which prompted the score. It's a small, one-room joint with about 6 tables and three TV screens inside and a covered outside seating area. Not the most salubrious place, but nice beer.
Miserable sour faced woman behind the bar moaning about being alone all day to another colleague. Wasn't interested in pleasantries or small talk , may have been a hard shift but a smile goes a long way. Didn't even speak to us except to say where the card machine was! It's a shame as the place isn't too bad but for me the staff add to the customer experience and character. Former pub chef so know the industry well, anyway Could've smiled at least when we greeted her.
Lovely pint of Bass. The lady behind the bar was really nice and helpful too. Sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine and watched the world go by to an idyllic backdrop. Would certainly go back again if ever in the area.
No longer a brewhouse. New owners and national beer brands.
