4 of us visited here one evening after hearing the fish and chips were worth the trip and we were not disappointed at all
They were totally amazing.
I could not get over the portion size,
Huge and really nice we all totally enjoyed them, So filling we could hardly gather the strength to get up and leave.
The place is clean and tidy, with toilets if you need them
Car park is big enough and fully accessible as it's all on one level.
Hard to get to excited about Fish and Chips but this is the best ive had in a long time.
The first table was not wiped down just relayed cutlery so we moved. Fish greasy, rag pudding heated in microwave so was hard outside. No peas with order and we ordered peas with meal. The tea was fine tho. The service by a young lad was very pleasant and polite. But we won't be going here again. If anyone does go here DONT HAVE THE RAG PUDDING.
I ordered a chicken burger with chips , total price £5.15 on the menu it said the burgers came with salad , which is what you'd expect with a burger , as you can see in the picture there was no salad and at £2.90 , I've recieved and eaten better at McDonald's . The chips were not the nicest I've had either, they left an after taste.
The meal came in a really nice cardboard box , obviously good for recycling but the chips and burger were cold by the time I arrived home and I only live 5 minutes from here .
On the plus side the staff were really nice and polite.
Really sorry but I won't be returning or recommending the Trawlerman.
First visit here and I enjoyed the fish and chips. Prices are high and comparable to a pub but global issues are driving up the cost of fish etc. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of seating indoors
Not great, not rubbish. Was charged twice for 1 portion of fish and chips because the chip and pin machine apparently hadn't worked. I checked my bank app straight away. There was 1 payment pending at that time. It was only a few week after I realised I'd paid twice. Strange. Anyway, I'll not be going again. In answer to the owners question it was mid December.
Ate here on 25.11.22 and will not be returning. Paid £5 for sausage and chips, chips were the worst I have ever had - experience eating them was almost like chewing on an elastic band - so much so ended up throwing them to the wildlife. Just glad I didn't pay £8.50 for fish and chips. Went to McDonalds afterwards where at least you know what quality you will get at a much more reasonable price.
Called in on way past for fish and chips. 5min wait for fish which mean it was fresh, the only drawback is that it's not been allowed to stand so ended up a bit greasy otherwise lovely.
Lovely meal, very friendly and prompt service. The fish seemed a little smaller than when I last visited but still a decent size.
