A brilliant proper pub not a pretentious cocktail bar. Good selection of wines, spirits, beers and lagers. Landlord and landlady really nice people and very welcoming. Live music Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Live Sky Football. A good tap room as well. These proper type of pubs are dying out fast so we need to support them.
This is a brill pub, specially on match day⚽️????and the staff had no quibbles with giving me the password for the Wifi, lots of space to watch TV, play Pool???? or just be alone????
Brilliant night at the Thursday pub Quiz Night.
Great atmosphere, friendly crowd as well as beer / cash prizes for the top 3 teams. Jackpot on play cards right too. £200 won last week.
This is a really nice old time pub just outside the centre of Royton. The bar staff are really friendly and accommodating as you are there for a funeral. They was Take Over the big screen TV to put on the slideshow of the deceased, and although they don't offer catering they had no problems with food in being laid out for the people who'd been to the funeral.
In addition to drinks were very reasonably priced with no queue times and there's a nice little beer garden for a smoke and a sit in the sun.
