Quick Facts About The Willow Cafe

The Willow Cafe has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. One of the main strengths mentioned is the quality of the food. Multiple customers mention that the food is excellent, particularly the breakfast items. The full English breakfast is praised for being cooked to perfection and using good quality ingredients. This suggests that the cafe takes pride in their food and puts effort into preparing it well. Additionally, the portion sizes are described as decent and the prices are considered sensible, indicating good value for money.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Several customers mention that the staff is friendly and that they feel welcome when visiting the cafe. This is important for creating a positive dining experience and encourages customers to return. Being greeted with a warm and friendly attitude can make a significant difference in how customers perceive a dining establishment.
Ample parking is another strength mentioned in one of the comments. Having sufficient parking available can be a convenience for customers, especially in busy areas where finding parking can be a challenge. This may attract customers who value easy accessibility to the cafe.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned in the comments. The most significant weakness is the long wait times for both food and service. Multiple customers mention waiting for extended periods, with one table waiting over an hour and ten minutes. This suggests a lack of organization and efficiency in the cafe's operations. Long wait times can be frustrating for customers, potentially leading them to seek alternative dining options in the future.
The quality of the food is also mentioned as a weakness by some customers. One customer describes their sandwich as barely palatable, claiming that the bread is dry and that there was no presentation when it was served. Another customer mentions that the sausages in their breakfast were overly peppery, which was not to their taste. These comments suggest inconsistency in the food quality and potentially a lack of attention to detail in its preparation.
Additionally, several customers mention a lack of communication and apology from the staff regarding the long wait times. This can leave customers feeling neglected and unappreciated, further contributing to a negative dining experience.
Another weakness mentioned is the cleanliness of the mugs in which the tea was served. One customer describes them as stained, which can be off-putting and suggest a lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Lastly, one customer mentions that the cafe was extremely cold, to the point where they had to wear coats, hats, and scarves. This can create a discomforting dining environment and negatively impact the overall experience.
In conclusion, The Willow Cafe has strengths in its food quality, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and ample parking. However, it also has weaknesses in terms of long wait times, inconsistent food quality, lack of communication and apology from staff, cleanliness issues, and a cold dining environment. These weaknesses may deter some customers from returning or recommending the cafe to others. Addressing these weaknesses is crucial for improving the overall dining experience and customer satisfaction.

We came here for a lunch. the wait was so long. After ordering, it took 50 minutes for the food to come out. (The table who got the order earlier than us had waited for an hour and 10 minutes till they were served). As it turned out, however, the wait was immaterial as I would not go back even if there was instant service based on the food alone.
I ordered a prawn mayo sandwich and my friend had a bacon egg sausage Sandwich. Both were not great in our opinion and I am sure the Tesco meal deal would be a way better choice. My sandwich was barely palatable (as shown in the picture) because the bread is so dry and had no presentation at all when it was served.
We haven't got any apologies or explanation of why it was so slow and overall I would suggest you save yourself an hour of waiting to give some other nearby cafe a try!
The food was excellent! Staff were very friendly. Best full English I've had in a long time!! ???????????????? 10/10
I was recommended this cafe by a friend who told me the breakfast was lovely and the fried slice tasty. I arrived @ 10.45, placed my order and took my cuppa. After waiting 35 minutes I spoke with the staff who told me mine was next. It did arrive but no fried slice so I let the staff know. They did bring me a fried slice but dripping in oil and under cooked. It was if the bread had been dunked in a bath of oil and warmed up. I not one for complaining but I was really looking forward to a nice breakfast as I start work at 2pm and work through until late. I left most of the breakfast as it really wasn’t that nice. The sausages were very peppery which isn’t my thing but personal taste vary. I was not the only customer who was waiting a very long time in fact the table behind me joked and said we’re in for breakfast but hopefully get it for lunch. The staff are friendly just completely unorganised. Sorry but won’t be back
Best fryup I have had for a while. Good quality ingredients, decent portion and sensible price.
A lovely Independent cafe! The breakfasts are cooked to perfection and a good size too! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, always made to feel welcome. I have joined the locals in returning each week!
My husband and I arrived at 10.30 and ordered 2 small breakfasts and 2 mugs of tea. The tea arrived promptly but the mugs looked stained. 40 minutes later the food had still not arrived we had drank the tea as by now it would have been stone cold, no explanation from the staff as to why there was such a delay so we walked out even after we had paid. Certainly won't be going there again.
The food was fantastic, lovely friendly staff, ample parking. Can't give 5 stars unfortunately because the place was absolutely freezing cold, we sat in coats, hats and scarves and could see our breath, which was a shame. But on a fair weather day this would be a great place to come for breakfast. We will be back just on a warmer day.
I came for lunch on Sunday with my wife and had a excellent meal .top class.we also went for breakfast excellent meal top class and also booked again .gcollingbourne thanks 5 star
