Quick Facts About Tony's Nail Salon
Overall, Tony's Nail Salon has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned is the ambiance of the salon. The presence of dividers between customers, fresh air, and incense created a pleasant atmosphere that attracted customers to make appointments. This indicates that the salon pays attention to creating a relaxing and comfortable environment for its clients.
Efficiency is also mentioned as a strength of Tony's Nail Salon. Despite some negative experiences, several comments mentioned that the services were completed in a timely manner, with both manicures and pedicures taking less than 30 minutes. This suggests that the salon has the ability to efficiently serve its customers and accommodate their needs quickly, which can be a desirable quality for those seeking a quick service.
In terms of weaknesses, the quality of the service provided by the technicians is a consistent issue raised in the comments. Several customers mentioned that their nails were not properly shaped or filed, resulting in a less than satisfactory outcome. Additionally, the application of the nail polish was noted as being subpar, with complaints of the polish rubbing off quickly or appearing dry. This indicates that there may be a lack of attention to detail and precision in the execution of the services, which can be a major drawback for customers seeking high-quality nail treatments.
Price transparency is another weakness highlighted in the comments. Several customers mentioned being surprised by the total cost of their services, as they were not informed of additional charges for certain designs or treatments. This lack of communication regarding pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a feeling of being deceived, which can negatively impact the salon's reputation.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of professionalism exhibited by the salon owner. One customer reported a negative phone call experience with the owner, who was rude, laughed at the customer, and hung up without providing clear answers to their questions. This unprofessional behavior can create a negative impression of the salon and deter customers from returning or recommending the establishment to others.
Hygiene and cleanliness are also identified as weaknesses. Multiple comments mention the presence of a roach in the salon, which is unsanitary and unprofessional. The fact that the nail technician only pushed the roach away and continued with the service raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and sanitation practices of the salon. This lack of cleanliness can greatly impact the trust and satisfaction of customers, as they expect a clean and hygienic environment when receiving nail treatments.
In conclusion, while Tony's Nail Salon may have some strengths, such as a pleasant ambiance and efficiency in service, there are significant weaknesses that need to be addressed. These include issues with the quality of the services provided, lack of price transparency, unprofessional behavior from the owner, and concerns regarding hygiene and cleanliness. These weaknesses can greatly impact the overall customer experience and may deter potential customers from choosing Tony's Nail Salon over other options.

I got my nails done yesterday and this photo was from this morning. The nail polish rubbing off!! I paid $50 for this. The lady doing my nails seemed like she was in a rush and didn’t leave them to dry. The nail polish also seemed very dry. I do not recommend this place at all!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!!
Dividers between customers and fresh air, with incense got me to mark an appointment the next day.
Unfortunately, they were 30 minutes late and the service was simply adequate.
Briskly efficient.
Not a great experience, but the job was done in less than 30 minutes, both mani & pedi with gel.
I used to come here many years ago. Good service.
Pleased with my fills, but just a little thin... 2nd day a nail broke????.
I'll go back in hopes that no nails break
I really tried to be friendly and not too critical but this place was too terrible to not review.
1st- I called ahead to be sure they accept Samsung/Apple pay. They said they did and do have the NFC reader but didnt know how to work it. My fiance had to bring me cash while they watched me like hawks as if I was a criminal who would skip out. My fiance came and paid them in cash and it turns out they did successfully charge my card so I had to block the extra $65 through my bank.
2nd- Their window reads "full set $22" and because I wanted to stay near that great base price and because this was my first time giving their salon my business, I kept my design very simple although I typically get very extravagant designs. Never did my tech mention "oh this or that will cost such and such more" no mention of price, ever. So at the end of my appointment, I was surprised with a $65 tab. A $65 tab for a solid color set using only 2 colors.
3rd- the tech was very polite and likeable. Her skills were outdated. I asked for a medium length coffin shaped set with one stiletto shaped nail to accent. She could not successfully shape my nails. My pinkies turned out more square than coffin. My stiletto accent is almond because she doesn't know the difference. I had her refile and shape it several times to try to get it thin and sharp... it's still a fat dull almond and looks very matronly for a woman my age.
4th- I intended to get a matte military/ money/ Forrest green set. They have 5 greens in all their colors and all of them are mint/turquoise greens. I went with a matte burgundy set instead.... it wasnt burgundy as it appears on the sample and is named. It is more of a berry red and is not dark enough to be burgundy even after I had her do 4 coats. Same for the inside of my nails, which I wanted solid gold. I had to settle for glitter because solid gold was unavailable. After 2 coats under my nails, it's a translucent bit of glitter instead of a metallic color pop. The matte finish is still glossy in this color after two coats of finish, and I asked her beforehand if matte would work for the color.
5th- there are so many things wrong with the shape/smoothness/thickness of my nails that they are almost embarrassing. She also filed my cuticle so hard it bled and is now blackened.
Overall, this salon is maybe okay for pedicures and very short square sets. I would not reccomend to anyone trying to keep on trend nails.
Worst place ever! First off got my pedicure and my nail was a bit chipped nothing a clip wouldn’t of even out! Yet instead they put acrylic to my toe nail which gave it a nasty huge look and they didn’t even clean me out! Second of all did acrylic nails the material they used made my nails burn they added alcohol to control the burning sensation it was giving me (Bad news) after that I asked for coffin nails they gave me supper big squared ones! Never again!
Came her forna quick mani and waxing wait was minimal took me to the back for my wax came out and was seated for my mani while sitting there I noticed the clutter. Mid way through the mani a roach walks across the table the nail tech giggled and pushed it away she said something in her language which caused everyone to join. I had no idea what was being said. My nails look horrible
If I could put a zero star review I would , did a simple phone call to ask if they had any availability for two and if there was a wait and the owner had the audacity to laugh non stop for him to say we are available. I also asked if they did gel x. And he answered me with a no and hung up on me. So rude and unprofessional coming from the owner . I’ve been here before and have always left my acrylics nails done horribly which is why I had asked if they had gel x. But decided to give them another try but with a pedicure. After that phone call and laughed at me when nothing was funny. I would never be going back again. I would stay away from this place. Workers are humble but owner is not and is there 95 percent of the time. So if you want to feel comfortable and satisfied with there services I would stay away from them.
They were nice wish I could give a better rating. However they are pricey and the polish doesn't stay. Then as I was getting my pedi done I see a roach walking across the glass they put up ..so gross
