Quick Facts About Vip Barbershop
Vip Barbershop has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's analyze them in detail.
Strengths:
1. Excellent management: One customer mentioned that a barber was coached on how to improve for next time. This shows that the shop has good management practices in place and values continuous improvement.
2. Clean and neat atmosphere: A customer appreciated the cleanliness and tidiness of the work station. This indicates that Vip Barbershop maintains a hygienic environment, which is crucial in a barbershop.
3. Friendly and welcoming staff: Multiple comments highlight the friendly nature of the barbers and their willingness to make customers feel comfortable. This creates a positive and inviting atmosphere, making customers want to return.
4. Quick service: A customer was pleased with the short wait times for both appointments and walk-ins. Fast service can be a significant advantage for customers who are on a tight schedule or prefer not to wait.
5. Good customer service: Customers appreciated the attention they received upon walking in and being introduced to a barber. This indicates that the shop values customer service and strives to provide a positive experience.
Weaknesses:
1. Inattentive barber: One customer complained about a barber who was more focused on answering phone calls and having conversations than giving a proper haircut. This implies that some barbers may not prioritize their clients, leading to unsatisfactory results.
2. Overcharging: A customer felt that the shop overcharged for a generic haircut and even charged extra for changing the cut. This can create a negative impression and result in dissatisfaction among customers.
3. Deceptive payment practices: The shop displays a sign stating that they accept credit cards, but customers discovered that they need to use the shop's ATM, which charges high fees. This can be misleading and inconvenient for customers, affecting their overall experience.
4. Poor haircut quality: A customer complained about a bad haircut, including poor blending, lack of a razor for finishing touches, and crooked cutting. This suggests that not all barbers in the shop possess the necessary skills to deliver high-quality haircuts.
5. Unclear pricing: Another customer mentioned that the final price was higher than expected, indicating a lack of transparency in pricing. This can lead to customer confusion and frustration.
In conclusion, Vip Barbershop has strengths such as excellent management, cleanliness, friendly staff, quick service, and good customer service. However, there are weaknesses related to inattentive barbers, overcharging, deceptive payment practices, poor haircut quality, and unclear pricing. These comments provide insight into both the positive aspects and areas for improvement for Vip Barbershop.

Whoever dude is in booth 16 the slim black guy pushed my edge up wayyyyyyyyy back looks like it’s receding. He should focus less on answering his phone and holding sidebar conversations. So disappointed.
Pics- his cut vs my normal cut
Took my son to get a haircut not easy on a Monday - and the young guy cutting it did a good job. But then, another guy came over and not just told him what he did wrong, but coached him on how to improve for next time. Excellent management move.
Immediately after walking in I was greeted and introduced to an available barber. The atmosphere and work station was very neat and clean. The barber Mello was friendly and provided the cut I asked for with no problems. I wanted an easy low maintenance female cut and he delivered. I will definitely go back as I have been in search of a good barber since cutting all of my hair off in early January.
I love this shop! They're really friendly and welcoming, they're quick to take appointments and walk-ins without a long wait time, and the cut is always done right! You can't go wrong with any of the barbers, I definitely recommend going with V.I.P.!
They overcharge for generic cuts. I asked to have them change it because I didn’t like it and they charged me twice. Spent more time talking to people than actually cutting my hair.
I have never been to a barbershop before and ace hands-down gave me the best haircut I have ever received! Not only did I get a little bit of a singing performance! But he made me feel like family! I will be back to see the VIP fam!
Haircuts at malls no matter where you go are usually 40 to 50 dollars. I've gotten my haircut at malls in Texas, Illinois, Hawaii, California, and Oklahoma. So when I saw VIP haircuts listed price of 25 dollars for an adult haircut I was surprised. They have a sign outside that says they accept credit cards but what they don't tell you is that they mean you have to use their ATM machine. This is also very common in barbershops but this was particularly deceiving due to their sign about accepting credit cards. I was prepared and had cash but beware if you do have to use their ATM it charges you high fees from the owner and also your fees from your bank. Some banks will refund you ATM fees at the end of the month but this adds up until then. About 6 dollars extra on your haircut in just fees. I've run into barbershops that are now accepting Venmo and Cashapp which is the way things should be.
Bad payment practices aside, on to the reason you go: the haircut. I asked for a fade and nothing on top. My last barber I went to cut the top of my hair when I said not to. I do not remember my barber's name but I do remember them talking loudly to another barber across from them about their sex life. That was pretty disgusting but they had already started cutting my hair. The fade I got I could easily got at the Navy Exchange for 11 dollars. There was nothing special about the fade. Very poor blending, no razor, and the fade itself didn't feel like it was a skin or 0 fade. To make it worse they began to cut my bangs and I feel like it was cut crooked too. I never asked for them to do that because I'm trying to regrow my hair.
At the end of the haircut they said 30 dollars. I wasn't going to argue over 5 dollars but update your prices on your haircut. If it's 30 dollars for a bad haircut then advertise that. Overall, do not go here. Bad haircut, unprofessional barbers, deceitful prices, and lying that they accept credit card make this a below 1 star barbershop.
My son needed a last minute cut while I traveled to Pensacola for the day. I called and they told me they accepted walk-ins. Right by the entrance of Cordova Mall, it was easy to find. We signed the sheet ans he was seen in 5 minutes of one of the barbers finishing up. He explained what he wanted and it came out so nice!!!
