The manicure was done beautifully but the polish was chipped and cracking within a couple of hours. I don't want to discourage anyone because this was my personal experience and my mother, who was with me, did not experience any chipping until this week.
I get a pedicure every 2 weeks. I normally get my pedicures in Pooler but happened to be in Statesboro on Monday. I figured I would give VIP a try. I will not be back. I walked in and one of the ladies was asleep at her table. They were not busy at all. I told the other lady that I wanted to get a pedicure and she put me in a chair. An older guy did my feet. I didn't get his name but long story short....
he had my toenails cut down so short that two of my toes were bleeding. I was already nervous just from this. After him trimming my cuticles and buffing my toes, I had a couple of more toes bleeding. At this point, I was pretty much ready to walk out. I've had many pedicures in my life but this was the absolute worst. He never apologized, asked if I was okay or anything. He just acted like this was normal and everything was fine as he continued. I was actually scared when he brought out the cheese grater looking thing. I figured he would have my feet bleeding but he actually did pretty good on that part. After he finished painting my toes (which looked awful), the lady which I'm assuming is the owner or manager there could tell something wasn't right with me and asked if everything was ok. I didn't say a word but just pointed
down at my feet. She proceeded to remove the polish from all of my toes while speaking another language to the guy that did them. She then tried to stop the bleeding. She put this gel on my big toe several times but the bleeding wouldn't stop. She then used some sort of powder to stop the bleeding. No one ever apologized or anything. I paid and left. Wow!!

LOVE IT! Found my new nail salon when in Statesboro. They were very professional and friendly. The salon is nice and clean. They offer many services from nails to waxing services. One of the nail techs filed down one of my ugly toe nails perfectly????. Nomally, I'm the only one that can file it down that well but she got it right. I also took kids but don't like for a lot done on kid's feet. They followed directions when it came to the kids and their feet look awesome! I definitely plan to return.
After going to this nail salon for about 10 years, I was mistreated in the worst way. I called Kim and asked her if they were busy. She told me no, not really. I told her that I would be there in 30 minutes (because I live 26 miles from there) and she told me to be there in an hour. I got there on time and she did not acknowledge my arrival at all, which I found kind of odd. Then she came to cash someone out and I asked her, "Who was going to do my nails?" She replied, "Huh?" I said, "Remember I called. " She then said that, " You just called but didn't make an appointment." I said, "Oh, ok!" I proceeded to leave the salon. Why in the world would I drive that far without an appointment? REALLY, I don't get it at all..
I could not believe that she did that to a very loyal customer. I'm done!!
Wasn't crowded when I went for my first time. Really polite and Kevin took his time and my nails look wonderful. Will go back especially to see him.
I came in to VIP nails to get an acrylic set put on in preparation for my fiancé coming home from his deployment. I had a great experience, the shape I asked for was wrong at first but I mentioned to her and showed her a picture of what I wanted and she fixed them and now they look perfect! She was a little rough and grabby with my hands but nonetheless did a great job and I got everything I asked for. She was very friendly and made conversation with me about my plans for his return and my upcoming birthday. Great experience, would recommend!
very nice people but will not be going back. did not fully paint my nails and were finished with my fill in in 15 minutes. i have never had a full in take less than 45 and it was obvious that they were rushing.
