Weaknesses of Judy's Nails & Skin Care:
1. Inconsistency in service quality: One customer mentioned a less than satisfactory service experience at Judy's, highlighting issues with uneven length and shape of the nails, bubbles in the polish, and improper cuticle cleaning. This inconsistency in service quality poses a weakness for the salon.
2. Pricing concerns: A few customers mentioned that the prices at Judy's Nails & Skin Care were higher compared to other salons in the area. One customer expressed irritation at paying $56 for power dip nails, which she later found to be of subpar quality and needing to be redone. The additional charges for card payments were also mentioned as a negative aspect.
3. Refund policy: A customer shared a negative experience regarding the refund policy at Judy's. Despite experiencing issues with the service, the customer was unable to obtain a refund and was offered only a redo or a free pedicure as alternatives. This lack of flexibility in their refund policy may deter some customers.
4. Limited availability for specific services: While overall satisfaction with the services at Judy's Nails & Skin Care was high, one customer mentioned not finding the desired service they were looking for. This could suggest that the salon may have limitations in providing certain specialized treatments or techniques.
In conclusion, Judy's Nails & Skin Care has strengths in terms of skilled technicians, a relaxing atmosphere, positive customer service, cleanliness, and personalized recommendations. However, areas that need attention include consistency in service quality, pricing concerns, the inflexibility of the refund policy, and limited availability for specific services. These areas would benefit from improvement to further enhance the overall customer experience at the salon.

I found my place!!! Tucked away in a little strip mall right off of Gunbarrel is a gem of an experience! I've recently moved from Oregon was looking for someone who could replace my excellent technician back there. I had visited another salon in Ooltewah and received less than satisfactory service so was a little concerned.
I checked Yelp and found Judy's with 4 1/2 stars. You know, with Yelp, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but this time I scored! Although quiet, Miriam was solid, consistent and gentle. I have slightly "difficult" feet, so feel blessed to now have a pedicure "home".
I will be returning!
Lee and Judy are wonderful! Judy is excellent with ingrown nails and Lee does great manicures. I didn’t have a lot of time, and they were so accommodating. I will definitely be back!
I've been in Chattanooga just a few months. This is my third nail salon I've tried since arriving. I'm gonna stop looking. Judy did the best pedicure I've had so far in the area, and it was done "just right". She's got a relaxing salon that is very comfortable and out of the way off Gunbarrel Rd. She's a true professional and I felt like I got a top tier experience from her.
Was really looking forward to come here since they had good reviews compared to others in the area. I got a new full set and pedi. The lady who did my pedi seemed like she hasn't been doing this long and cut me. My full set is very uneven in length and shape. Each one looks like it was made by a different person. The polish keeps getting bubbles and she didn't clean my cuticles. The lady didn't even use proper tools she just kept using her nails long nails to push my cuticles back. Paid $81 total. They charge a dollar extra if u use a card too
PLEASE DON'T GO HERE GIRL!!!! Power dip nails $56. I received a service on Aug 7. When I left I was highly satisfied. I am normally very loyal to my nail tech (Posh in Cleveland) and pay $35 so when my total came to $56 I was slightly irritated but whatever :) Not sure why they are so much higher but it wasn't really much I could do after the service was already done. This place is clean customer service was awesome! Unfortunately after two days a couple of my nails began to left at the corner. By day 4 my pinky on my right hand had cracked. By day 7 almost all the nails have lift and my index finger on my right hand had cracked. I was initially was going to let it go because "hey its my fault for cheating on my loyal nail tech right?"
I am now at day 9 and decided I was going to call and just see if they would return my money to me after all I over paid for a service that will have to be removed. I spoke with Judy first and she instructed me that her husband would give me a call back since he did my nails. Within the hour he gave me a call back and offered to redo my nails. I declined. I don't have 2 hours to waste when it could just happen again. He refused to return my money and insisted I allow him the opportunity to redo them and if it happened again he would re do them again. I declined. He stated it cost him time and product to do my nails so a refund wouldn't be fair to him. I declined. He then said he could offer me a free pedicure instead. Finally after realizing getting my money back wasn't an option I told him I may do the pedicure.
I probably will not go back for the pedicure I haven't fully decided. I do know that I now have to spend $35 to go back to my normal technician if I want to keep my long beautiful natural nails. I don't have the money to spend right now since I'm on a mommy budget so my plans this evening will be to soak and remove the powder dip and probably just cut them off and start my nail growth journey next month when I can afford to start all over.
Omg I love this place!! Lee helped me with my nails and the best options for me and the dipping and color was perfect. The pedicure and suggestions were on point. They took their time and did a amazing job. My new favorite place!!!!
My wife and I have been clients at Judy's for 7 years now. I got my first pedicure ever with my wife before our honeymoon trip in 2014 at Judy's, and we have been going back ever since. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Even as a guy who nervous about getting a pedicure, I was made to feel comfortable and welcome from the very start. Now I recommend them to my fellow friends, both men and women! We both love the service that we receive at Judy's, and the quality/value are great!
I’ve been to several nail places for a pedicure, but nowhere has actually taken time and care of them like Judy’s. I came in a few months ago on a whim and Lee did my pedicure. I have had several toenails messed up due to fungal issues for years and other nail places would just file it away and slap some paint on top. Lee spent over an hour on my first visit talking to me about the fungal issues and actually taking care of my toenails. He recommended a specific fungal medicine and the best way to clean my toenails and it’s actually helping! Now, here I am 1.5 months later and my toenails look completely different. If you’re looking for people who actually genuinely want to help you and your nail needs then go to Judy’s!
