Quick Facts About Willenhall Memorial Park

Willenhall Memorial Park is described as a beautiful place to spend time with family, with its free parking, kids playground, and open space gym. It offers a nice view for exercising and is spacious and beautiful. The outdoor gym is praised for providing a workout space with fresh air and lush green spaces. However, there are some concerns about the park's maintenance and lack of investment, although the Friends of the park are working to improve it. The paths are becoming rough and muddy, and the gardens are no longer well-maintained. Despite these issues, the park is still valued as a good asset for the local community to escape busy roads. It offers various walking paths, a decent playground, and a splash pool.
On a positive note, one comment highlights the park as brilliant, particularly for children. The play area is well-maintained, and everything is in working order. The park staff also hold a lot of functions, making it a lively and active space. Additionally, the park is described as a large and lovely setting with a bandstand that hosts summer events, various recreational facilities such as bowling, tennis courts, and a fitness suite, as well as local events.
The park is viewed as a safe haven for those who are upset. However, there is a concern about drug use in certain areas of the park, particularly where there are trees. It is suggested that dog owners may want to take their dogs through the wooded areas, so drug use should be avoided for the safety and enjoyment of other park users.
One positive aspect of the park is its cleanliness. It is described as a beautiful and clean park, with lovely walks and a water play area that operates during certain times of the year. The park provides ample open space for picnics and is appreciated as an excellent place for a stroll. The council has also placed ample bins around the park, but it is annoying to see that some people still avoid using them.
Finally, the park is commended for its wood carvings from tree trunks, which add a unique and artistic element to the park's ambiance.
While Willenhall Memorial Park has several strengths, such as its beautiful surroundings, recreational facilities, and cleanliness, there are also weaknesses highlighted, including the lack of maintenance, investment, and the issue of drug use in some areas. Despite these weaknesses, the park still offers opportunities for families, individuals, and the local community to enjoy nature, exercise, and attend various events. It remains a valuable asset, but improvements and increased council support would enhance its overall appeal and functionality.

Such a beautiful place to spend sometime with your family.
Free parking avaliable, free kids playing ground, free on open space gym.
Nice view everywhere to practice exercise.
Spacious and beautiful. The outdoor gym is a great, it's like actually going to the gym but you can enjoy some free air and the lush green spaces.
It used to be nicer, but seems to be unloved somewhat these days. The Friends of the park are trying their best, I'm sure, but there is an obvious lack of investment from the council, which is a shame.
Paths are becoming rough and muddy and the gardens are no longer planted.
However, if you live in the area, it is still a good asset to be able to get out and about, away from the busy roads.
Probably less than 1½ miles around the perimeter, but various paths through the middle that help make a bigger walk if you want one.
The playground is okay, along with the splash pool (if it ever opens) in the better weather.
Brilliant park! Great for the kids! All the things in the play area are in working order!
Was talking to John one of the keepers there and they hold a lot of functions there too!
Well worth popping by!
Enjoy!
A large and lovely setting: bandstand (with summer Sunday events), bowling, kids play & water park, open spaces, skate arena tennis courts, fitness suite and lots of local events.
Its like a safe haven for those who are upset. In all honesty people should not use the areas where all the trees are for drugs/needed because there can be some dog owners who may want to take their dogs through the woods in the Willenhall Memorial park. These are a few of the photos taken while being in the park itself.
Beautiful clean park with some lovely walks. There is a park with a water play area which comes on at certain times of the year. A lot of open spare and idea to have picnics
