2. Skillful work: Many patrons expressed satisfaction with the quality of the nail services provided. This indicates that the technicians are adept at their job and capable of delivering a "great job" consistently.
3. Affordable prices: A few reviewers mentioned the reasonable prices offered at Yaya Nails place. This affordability is appreciated by customers and attracts those looking for a budget-friendly nail salon.
4. Detailed work: One reviewer highlighted the salon's ability to execute intricate designs by hand, rather than relying on airbrushing techniques. This attention to detail and commitment to quality work sets Yaya Nails place apart from other salons in the area.
5. Owner's professionalism: The owner, Yaya, was praised for her professionalism, quick service, and her ability to ensure customer satisfaction. This further enhances the positive experience of customers.
Weaknesses:
1. Inefficiency with appointment scheduling: One dissatisfied reviewer complained about having to wait for hours despite writing their name on the waiting list. These delays can be frustrating and might suggest a lack of organization and time management on the part of the salon's staff.
2. Rude and inconsiderate behavior: Several negative comments pointed out instances of rude and unprofessional behavior by the staff members. These incidents can tarnish the overall customer experience and discourage potential clients from returning.
3. Lack of communication: A customer expressed disappointment with the salon's failure to inform them about a staff member's absence, resulting in inconvenience and a disrupted schedule. This lack of communication exhibits unprofessionalism and a disregard for their clients' needs.
4. Unskilled technician: One reviewer specifically mentioned a technician, Henry, who provided a poor service experience. Complaints included crooked nails, bleeding, unprofessional behavior, lack of competence in specific techniques, and overcharging. This reflects negatively on the salon's ability to train and supervise its employees, potentially leading to inconsistency in service quality.
5. Improper hygiene practices: A dissatisfied customer reported a lack of cleanliness and hygiene during their visit, even describing the technician cutting their foot and causing bleeding without taking appropriate measures to stop it. This indicates a significant lapse in hygiene protocols and customer care.
Overall, Yaya Nails place exhibits strengths in terms of friendly staff, skillful work, affordable prices, detailed designs, and the professionalism of the owner. However, the salon also faces weaknesses concerning appointment scheduling inefficiencies, rude and inconsiderate behavior, poor communication, unskilled technicians, and inadequate hygiene practices. By addressing these weaknesses and taking necessary measures to improve in these areas, Yaya Nails place can enhance its reputation and provide a more consistent and satisfactory experience for its customers.
Best TL Reviews
Always a pleasure coming to this nail salon. The people who work there are friendly and they do a great job always. Prices are good and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a change or wanting to start going to a nail salon.
Trust the reviews. I got my hair done next door (Stella at the salon a few doors down is GREAT!) & went here after out of convenience. Henry is TERRIBLE. Two nails are bleeding. Almost all of my nails hurt. They are uneven. The color I choose came in a pack of two with both gel & regular options. And he uncharged by using gel polish without asking. He was rude. Overall a terrible experience.
If I could give this place -5 stars I would. They had me write my name on the list and wait hours while they kept sitting ppl who were not even there before me. Very rude and inconsiderate of other peoples time. I will never spend money or come back to this nail salon.
I will never ever book with yaya again or her salon in general.. I’ve been going there since I was 14, I’m now 28. I’ve referred a ton of people there too but never again. I booked an appointment with Jen for my birthday trip (Jamaica) when I get there yaya tells me Jenn is sick and she wasn’t coming in today! No one notified me prior… and yaya (the owner) solution was for me to wait until someone cancelled another day mind you I leave in two days. As a business owner the way she handled the situation was very unprofessional
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place OF COURSE they charge more and have an extremely long wait because this is the best salon in Macomb county!! This salon is the only one on the east side that does insanely detailed work by hand not airbrushed. You pay for what you get QUALITY. My eyebrows were ruined for years and never grew back the right way until YaYa finally fixed them (I was unaware in Texas they shave your eyebrows into a thin line). Henry keeps everyone laughing in the salon and all the technicians are amazing. I get nervous and bit my nail polish off a lot they always repaint the nails I ruined for free. They take care of their regulars extremely well. I am not going to lie on weekends expect a wait especially Fridays. No other salon compares to YaYas.
Yaya a very nice a professional lady. She's the owner. Very polite and quick to get you in and out. And satisfied...She's the Goat.
Worst set of nails I’ve ever had. do NOT let Henry do your nails… he put the nail on crooked the first time and yelled at me and said it was my fingers fault LOL. He literally started huffing and puffing and threw a fit like a child because I told him to put a new one on. Then proceeds to tell me he doesn’t know how to paint ombré nails. I’m like so you don’t know how to do nails?? Makes sense if you look at this set.. i was bleeding for a while. VERY unprofessional.. and WAY overpriced I will take my business elsewhere.
After asking for a specific nail tech for 2 weeks for a fill-in, I accepted a walk-in appointment. I wasn't greeted, I was hand motioned over to the chair. The nail colors were tossed at me in the chair. The person didn't greet me with a simple hello or anything. He then proceeded to grab my foot from the water rather roughly. He then (instead of a simple tap on foot) to instruct me to put my foot back in the water- He grabbed my foot again! He cut my foot 3 times with the drill and also dug too deep into my nail. When I mentioned to him that I had ingrown toenail that he was cutting into, he huffed and puffed. I kept bleeding and he didn't put anything on it
to stop the bleeding! I told him not to touch that nail anymore. Then his attitide became worst (as if that was possible)The towel he put on my legs were too hot!! He only put one coat on my toes...and in 2 days my fingernail polish was peeling. When he got up, he went to the bathroom and slammed the door! All the other girls and clients looked at me as if I did something to him. I asked his co-workers if he was OK because HIS ATTITUDE SUCKS!
