Quick Facts About 24 Kitchen Street

24 Kitchen Street is a small venue located on the edge of the Baltic Triangle, a 20-minute walk from the city center. The comments provided offer insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the place.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that the smaller capacity of the venue made it feel intimate and personal. This can be seen as a positive aspect, as it allows for a closer connection between the audience and performers. Another commenter specifically liked the small and dark atmosphere, stating that it was perfect for the techno event they attended. This suggests that the venue can cater to specific genres and create an appropriate ambiance for certain types of events.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the toilets was praised by one of the visitors. Having clean facilities can significantly enhance the overall experience for attendees. A small detail like having toilet paper available throughout the night can make a difference in terms of customer satisfaction.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one of the main criticisms was the size of the venue. It was mentioned that the space is very small, which may be a disadvantage for those who prefer larger venues with more room to move around. Additionally, being far from the city center was highlighted as a drawback. While this may not be an issue for everyone, some individuals may find it inconvenient to have to travel a significant distance to reach the venue.
Another criticism was directed at the bar. A commenter reported experiencing a pricing issue where they were charged different amounts for the same drink. This indicates a lack of consistency in service and potentially raises concerns about the venue's financial transparency. The comment also mentioned that this was not an isolated incident, as their friends and family experienced the same issue. This suggests that there may be a systemic problem with the management of the bar.
Furthermore, some visitors commented on the poor communication and rudeness of the staff. One individual mentioned that the staff did not provide information about when they could enter the venue, despite being late. This lack of communication can create confusion and a negative experience for attendees. Additionally, the unhelpfulness and rudeness of the staff were mentioned, indicating a lack of customer service skills.
Lastly, several comments criticized the cleanliness and condition of the toilets. The state of the bathrooms was described as disgusting, with one commenter stating that the floor was like a filthy swamp. This highlights a significant hygiene issue that needs to be addressed. The lack of functioning locks, toilet seats, hot water, and proper hand-drying facilities were additional concerns raised by visitors.
In conclusion, 24 Kitchen Street has strengths in terms of creating an intimate and personal atmosphere, suitable for specific types of events. The cleanliness of the toilets and the availability of toilet paper were also praised. However, it does have weaknesses, including its small size, distance from the city center, pricing inconsistencies at the bar, lack of communication and rudeness from staff, and poor hygiene conditions of the bathrooms. These weaknesses must be addressed to improve the overall experience for visitors.

It is a very small space and it's far from the city centre.
Visited here as part of the Guild show.
But it wasn't entertaining.
What a great little venue! Saw Erol Alkan play here all night long, and it was a very special night! The smaller capacity made it very intimate and really elevated the night, made the whole experience feel more personal, something you don't really get rammed into the bigger clubs.
First time I'd been, it was so good!. Its small and dark, which is perfect for the tecno event I went to. Staff were friendly, and toilets were clean with toilet roll all night. It's situated on the edge of the Baltic triangle, a 20 minute walk from city centre. I loved kitchen street, will definitely be back soon.
Had a boss night on our Georgia's birthday jonah is a cool dood.. I will be seeing yous cheers lads
The event and atmosphere was outstaning. We went to see the Buena Vista tribute sambroso all stars. Issue was the bar - they had some dodgy scheme going on where every time i asked for the same drink i got told it was a different price. When i claimed they sold it for cheaper last time they denied it, until i showed them my bank statement from the transaction just 20 mins earlier. They then charged me the correct less amount. This didnt just happen to me but my friends and family who were also there that night. Be careful. Their excuse was "we never updated the till" ... well is that what you'll say to trading standards is it?
The band were fabulous but the venue is a dump. There was no communication from the staff about when we could go in, despite them being late. In fact, the staff were downright rude and unhelpful. The toilets are disgusting. There are unisex and the lock on my cubicle didn't work. I had to hang onto the bottom of the door in order to both keep the door shut and to enable me to hover. There was no toilet seat, no hot water, nowhere to dry your hands. If I never go back it will be too soon.
Worst bathrooms I've ever seen. The floor was basically a filthy swamp. Appreciate that staff are super busy but this was unacceptable and very unhygienic. Would not advise anyone to use these facilities in any circumstances
