Quick Facts About A Cut Above
A Cut Above place is a hair salon that clearly has its strengths and weaknesses, as showcased in the comments provided. It is important to consider these points when evaluating the overall quality of the business.
One strength that stands out is the positive experience from a customer who brought their three-year-old child for a haircut. The stylist was praised for being amazing and handling the child well, giving them the desired hairstyle. This indicates that the salon has the ability to cater to a wide range of clientele, including young children, and deliver satisfactory results.
Another positive comment highlights the willingness of the staff to accommodate a last-minute appointment request. Despite the salon closing soon, they were able to fit the customer in and provide a haircut that matched their expectations. This demonstrates good customer service and flexibility, which can be seen as a strength of the establishment.
Additionally, a customer mentioned their satisfaction with the hair dyeing service. Although the customer admits that their request was somewhat extravagant and unrealistic, the stylist still managed to impress them with the end result. This suggests that the salon has skilled stylists who can deliver complex hair treatments and meet unconventional requests.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses evident in the comments provided. One customer with curly hair expressed their disappointment in the salon's ability to cater to their hair type. The stylist completely disregarded their request for a simple trim and instead cut off all their curls, leaving them with an undesirable hairstyle. This raises concerns about the salon's expertise in handling curly hair, indicating a lack of knowledge or skill in this area.
Furthermore, a particularly unsettling comment suggests that the owner of the salon made a racist remark under their breath towards a customer. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. It creates a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere for customers and undermines the professionalism of the salon.
Another negative experience involved a customer who paid a significant amount for a spiral perm that turned out poorly. When they requested a fix, their hair was cut even shorter instead of addressing the issue. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude of the stylist indicate poor customer service and a failure to rectify mistakes made by the salon.
Overall, A Cut Above place has both strengths and weaknesses. The positive experiences highlight the salon's ability to cater to certain client needs, provide flexibility in scheduling, and offer complex hair treatments. However, the negative experiences raise concerns about the salon's expertise in handling certain hair types, the professionalism of the staff, and their ability to rectify mistakes. It is crucial for the salon to address and improve upon these weaknesses to ensure customer satisfaction and create a positive reputation in the industry.
Best TL Reviews
This place is not the place to go for guys, especially with curly hair! I told the lady to trim my hair a LITTLE bit and she ended up cutting every curl off, which shortened by hair exponentially and now I have a Edgar - fluffy bowl cut. The lady kept asking me if I liked it to which I responded with, “I’ll have to see when I get home and get out the shower”. The lady kept asking me if I liked it along with dumb and unnecessary questions and when I got to the car I was furious. Honestly terrible place, I’m tired of hair businesses not being able to cut curly hair at all and making the excuse that it’s hard. From now on in cutting my own hair and if I ever go back into that place it ain’t gonna be pretty. 1/10, terrible. (By the way some old woman kept staring at me in a rude way)
I am so aggravated with this establishment! It was on a Tuesday afternoon when I walked in to this "salon" when the owner greeted me in a very rude manner. She called me the n-word under her breath ,but I just ignored it since I didn't want to waste my breath on her. She asked me what I wanted and I said a fade ,but instead she cut me a buzzcut! I am very outraged I called her a cracker and left. I'll never vist this place again- ONE STAR!
My three year old and I love it! Everyone there was very professional and nice! My girl loves her short hair❤️
Called at 6:53, they close at 7:00. Got me in for the first haircut that was the way I have wanted it cut for 20 years. THANK YOU Ladies for staying late. Very nice environment, very friendly staff. A++++++++
Lissa was very good at dying my hair how I liked it, authough, my request was quite extravagant and a little unrealistic. Edit: just got it dyed again, and wow. Mandy did amazing dispite how little instruction I have her. Very impressed.
The employees were somewhat friendly. Had my hair dyed, highlighted, and styled. It turned out fine. I am not disappointed but not overly impressed either. Price was reasonable. I would say my experience was average
Had my 3 year olds hair cut and her stylist was amazing. She did well with her and gave her the "princess hair" like she wanted. Definitely will be back for more service in the future
Wouldn't give any stars if possible. I paid outrageously for a spiral perm. It didn't turn out well and only some of my hair was permed. I went back to have them redo it and person just CUT about 5 inches off instead of fixing perm!! They definitely had an attitude and clearly didn't want to admit any wrong. I will never go back or refer anyone.
