3. Good results: Multiple customers mentioned that they were happy with the outcome of their braids. They mentioned that the parts were nice and that the final look matched their expectations. This indicates that the stylists at Angie's African American hair Braiding place are skilled and capable of producing satisfying hair results.
4. Convenient location: One customer mentioned that the salon is in a central location, making it easily accessible. This can attract customers who are looking for convenience and proximity.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistency in service quality: Several customers mentioned negative experiences with the salon. They complained about their braids falling out shortly after being done, the braids being rushed and of poor quality, and the stylist not listening to their requests. These comments highlight a lack of consistency in the salon's service quality, which can be a significant weakness.
2. Lack of professionalism: One customer expressed disappointment in the owner's delayed response and perceived lack of professionalism. They mentioned that the salon is not an actual shop but in the basement of someone's home, and there were kids running around during their appointment. This suggests that the salon may not have a professional and well-maintained environment, which can negatively impact the overall customer experience and reputation.
3. Poor customer service: Multiple customers mentioned instances of poor customer service. They mentioned that their requests were not listened to, that they were treated rudely, and that their concerns were not adequately addressed. This indicates a lack of customer-centricity and attentiveness on the part of the stylists, which can result in negative word-of-mouth and a loss of potential repeat customers.
4. Lack of refund or compensation: One customer mentioned that they received no apology, refund, or discount despite receiving a subpar hairstyle. This indicates a lack of accountability and willingness to rectify mistakes, which can be a major weakness for any business. The lack of compensation can also frustrate customers and lead to a loss of trust.
In conclusion, Angie's African American hair Braiding place has strengths such as quick service, a lively atmosphere, good results, and a convenient location. However, the salon also has weaknesses in terms of inconsistency in service quality, a lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and a failure to provide refunds or compensation when mistakes are made. These weaknesses can significantly impact the overall customer experience and reputation of the salon.

I honestly really like this place until the last time I got my hair braided. I was supposed to get goddess braids and got some tangled mess instead. Then as soon as I got home they fell out.
Also while I was there I told her I don’t want the cape around me. I don’t like when they use the cape on me because it just been around someone else’s neck. She takes the cape of me and damn near choked me.
The next day I came back for her to replace the 5 braids that came out the back of my hair. The woman who braided my hair admitted that she used the wrong hair for my style. I wasn’t given an apology, no refund, no discount, nothing. Just a shrug off. Also she put the cape back around my neck and the woman who originally braided my hair told her I don’t like the cape. She then snatched the cape once again from off my neck and I even made a sound like ouch. She says nothing.
I liked Angie but I saw their true colors that day. They praise God but no one is perfect I understand that. However, they need to work on their morals and I am finished with that shop ????????✌???? God bless you ladies.
So I went to Angie hair braiding on Wednesday morning I called first and I was told the style I wanted someone could do it . When I got there they didn’t have any customers and I just walked in everyone was looking at me like why re you here . Finally one of the stylists told me I could have a seat I was okay sat down and waited for Angie to come from upstairs. Angie asked around for anyone that could do the style and the one who could do it was about to leave and she stopped and took me . I was told to sit in her chair she dated yes I could do that style you want . So when she started everything was goin great she was taking her time but once she got to the top you could tell she didn’t feel like doin my hair anymore . Today is Friday and my hair is already comin out . My lair looks so rushed . I could have did this style myself for $130 . I honestly want my money back and I will never go there again . I should knew something was wrong when she was textin my over and over to come get my hair done that didn’t have any customers . I provide pictures on this terrible work they have done one my hair . If you can save you’re money and go somewhere else please do so . I’m so upset I really wanted this style bad . I’m also mad because she could have told me that they couldn’t do it n take my money SMFH
I had a great first experience- called ahead to explain to Angie that I can’t sit too long. I had two stylists and hair was done quickly. Love my braids!! Will be back for sure. Keep up the great work and service!
Honestly I probably won’t ever go to them
Again one a perimeter actually people know how’s much should be taking out for a perimeter she basically didn’t take that much out and blamed it on me when she should be the expert. I even told them not to do my edges and the lady still did. My redone braided were also bigger than the older ones. Then she said she didn’t want to braid my daughters hair because she moved to much after I said I would blow dry her hair before she got it braided which was the main problem last time she still said no but it’s cool I found someone who can braid way better and more professional anyway. Don’t come
On my post lying either because I would’ve given you more to do her hair but it’s cool someone else can take my money and I referred everyone I know to someone else.
I asked for medium small individuals waist length and I got medium large individuals past my butt. I went home and cut them. I told the girl so many times that she’s braiding too tight and I heard her telling her coworker I was tender headed. I kindly interrupted and said yes I might be tender headed but you’re braiding too tight. I have little bumps all around my ears, my side burns, and the back of my neck. I’m not happy I’m not satisfied I hate it. I hate these braids! They’re stiff and tight and I paid 200$ for them. I will say this - my parts are nice and she was fast. I went in at 1 and left out at 4:30. Also, she made time for me last minute and that was greatly appreciated. The salon was clean but my overall experience was not good. Angie told her to stop braiding so tight and she still continued braid tight and do what she wanted to do instead of what I, the customer, wanted. She didn’t listen. I’ll never go back here again.
She cared about the fact that I had to be to work on time and did her best to service me quickly. In addition to quick service, my hair came out exactly how I wanted it and I didn’t break the bank! Angie and her team are lively, caring and nice to talk to. Such a great atmosphere when you come in!
So. The owner waits a month to respond which shows the professionalism that she has which is none. I mentioned nothing regarding heat. I said it was not an actual shop and it was in the basement of someone’s home. Also I bought two jumbo packs of braiding hair which was not $3. Also they do not know how to do knotless braids and she raised the price for incorrect work. Then the person that did my hair had a baby on her back which I specifically that I had to still work. There were kids running in after they got from school. You were rude talking about people and if I left hair you had my phone number for what reason did you not text me and say hey do you want the rest of your hair. No one is trashing its speaking about the business professionalism that is lacking. Good customer service keeps clients and builds businesses. Do not be upset because I spoke the true.
This is an amazing salon. Always such a pleasant experience. I have been multiple times and have had awesome results every time. Ive recently moved to the area and this is hands down my permanent braid shop.
