Quick Facts About B & B African Hair Braiding
B & B African Hair Braiding place has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. This indicates that the salon has both strengths and weaknesses that should be taken into consideration.
One of the strengths mentioned by customers is the quality of the braiding work. Multiple comments mention that the braids are neat, quick, and done with good products. Customers appreciate that the braids resemble the style they requested and that the braider does a great job. This suggests that the salon has skilled braiders who can deliver the desired results.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere of the salon. Some customers mention feeling at home and missing the braiding ladies in the Bronx. This indicates that the salon creates a friendly environment for customers, making them feel at ease during their visit.
Efficient service is also mentioned as a strength of the salon. Customers state that the personnel are accommodating and able to fit in walk-in appointments when possible. This suggests that the salon is well-organized and able to handle a high volume of customers.
Reasonable pricing is another strength mentioned by customers. They appreciate the affordable prices and feel that they receive good value for their money. This shows that the salon offers competitive pricing, which attracts customers who are looking for cost-effective hair braiding services.
However, there are also several weaknesses highlighted by customer comments. One of the most significant weaknesses is the issue of professionalism. Customers have mentioned that the braider, Miriam, spends excessive amounts of time on the phone and is unprofessional. They feel that her focus should be on providing good service to her clients rather than being distracted by personal calls. This lack of professionalism is seen as a major drawback by customers.
Another weakness mentioned is the issue of punctuality. Customers have complained about delays in starting their appointments and being kept waiting for the braider to arrive. This not only causes inconvenience but also suggests a lack of respect for the customers' time. It is important for a salon to manage appointments effectively and provide a timely service.
Communication and customer service are also weaknesses highlighted by customers. Some customers mention that their requests were not properly understood or acknowledged. One customer mentioned that the braider cut her hair without consent, and others mention that their desired style was not achieved. Additionally, some customers feel that their concerns were not addressed in a satisfactory manner. It is important for a salon to have good communication with their customers, listen to their needs, and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, B & B African Hair Braiding place has strengths such as the quality of the braiding work, a welcoming atmosphere, efficient service, and reasonable pricing. However, there are also weaknesses in terms of professionalism, punctuality, communication, and customer service. These weaknesses should be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience at the salon.

I used to love coming here: but my last two experiences have been awful. All Miriam does is talk on the phone! She’s so loud and very very unprofessional. Today my appointment was at 9:30am. They didn’t arrive until 10am and MIRIAM did not start my hair until almost 11am. She’s on the phone the entire time. She doesn’t apologize for being late or anything. I’m looking for a new hair braiding place asap. I’m extremely disappointed! If you choose to go here do NOT GOT TO MIRIAM !
Asked for box braids, got box braids. Simple. Neat, quick and good products used. Felt very at home, made me miss the braiding ladies in the Bronx.
I first went to this shop in 2010 and continued to use it for hair braiding. So much so that I drove from South Jersey to go there. Since 2015, I have been getting the same hairstyle and length today I expected to pay the said price upon leaving I was informed that I need to pay more. I asked for an explanation and was informed that the length was longer. I went back to look at pictures from previous years for validation. I guess she (the owner) didn't realize how long I have been a customer. I showed her the picture and she asked me when was it taken, why it mattered I do not know. The next response was that the prices changed. I would not mind paying that PRICE if she hadn't had been deceitful about it. I love how Lidia braids my hair she does an excellent job but unfortunately at this moment, I am indecisive about if I will be returning.
Surprised, I really like them. They were kind to squeeze me in at the last minute.
My thin short hair was put into a simple cornbraided style without extension. It was done neat & fast. The braider was so gentle. No pain. Close to home. I found my spot.
Went to Miriam. I was a walk in. Only waited about 30 mins. She did a great job on my jumbo knotless. Quick too.
Great job 2nd time I've been there. My 2dutch feed in braids lasted 3wks & such a great price & fast service (I made an appt.)
When I went to the salon, they did my braids, my natural hair was pretty long and they cut 2 inches off without my consent. They didn’t bother to tell me that my braids would be the same length as my natural hair. They were very rude and aggressive when I told them that the braids they did, did not match the photo I showed them. When they combed my hair, it was very painful and I told the lady that it hurt but she did not care. They made me buy braiding hair, did not do my braids right, and ended up wasting $300. If you want to get your braids done, I definitely do not recommend this place.
I've been a patron for nearly 5 yrs and recommended countless women to do the same. Efficient service, kind personnel, good prices, amazing results. I appreciate that they respect my hair and scalp - by braids are never tight nor a hazard to my edges. The Ladies always seem booked and busy, yet are wonderfully accommodating to walk-ins, fitting a person in if/where they can - and trust me, you WILL reschedule if they can't! EVERY visit results in tremendous compliments, even well past the 2 month mark.
