Quick Facts About Bruccianis

Brucciani's Place has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, it is clear that the decor and atmosphere of the cafe are highly praised. The 1930s style and retro marble look create a unique and charming ambience. The mention of a huge chandelier, marble tables, and leather chairs adds to the overall appeal of the cafe. Additionally, the mention of a stained glass window adds a touch of elegance. Customers seem to appreciate the effort put into maintaining the authenticity of the cafe and the cleanliness of the premises.
Another strength noted by customers is the selection of food. While some comments mention that the food was not exceptional, it is generally described as good and enjoyable. There is a good selection of cakes and the cooked food is decent. The menu seems to offer a variety of options, including an all-day breakfast, which is recommended by one of the commenters. The prices of the dishes are also considered fair.
Additionally, the cafe is located in a convenient area, close to the station and shopping center. This location makes it a convenient option for visitors who are looking for a place to eat.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint is the quality of the cutlery. A comment describes the cutlery as dreadful, thin, and flimsy, causing discomfort and even injury. This can negatively impact the dining experience and potentially deter customers from returning.
Service is another area of weakness mentioned by customers. The lack of smiles and reported rude behavior from staff members leave a negative impression. One comment explicitly mentions a lack of friendliness and an unresponsive attitude from the staff. Customer service plays a crucial role in the overall dining experience, and poor service can significantly impact a customer's willingness to return.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the quality of the food. One commenter mentions that the brunch they ordered was disappointing, with bland eggs and salmon that tasted like it was from a packet. The comment suggests that the food needs modernizing and perfecting to meet expectations. Another customer comments on the poor quality of the breakfast they ordered, stating that certain items were greasy, dry, or tasteless.
Lastly, a comment alludes to the grumpy attitude of the owner, which can create a less welcoming atmosphere for customers.
In summary, Brucciani's Place has strengths in terms of its charming decor, cleanliness, fair prices, and location. However, weaknesses include issues with cutlery, poor service, and inconsistencies in the quality of the food. These aspects can impact the overall dining experience and potentially deter customers from returning. The cafe would benefit from addressing these weaknesses in order to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Best TL Reviews

We called in for a [recommended] all day breakfast lunch.
I had mixed feelings about it here.
To start, the food was good, nothing to rave about but it was enjoyable and plentiful. Cappuccino was ok but a little bland for my taste.
The cutlery was dreadful and I actually had to check I wasn't using my knife upside down as it cut into my hand so badly. It was so thin and flimsy. My hands hurt at the end of the meal. No joke and I'm not elderly.
Whilst the 1930s decor is lovely, some parts were very tired and scruffy especially the loos downstairs. Not sure if there's a disabled loo upstairs.
Service was meh ... we didn't get or see a single smile from staff ... I tried chatting to two staff members and got a huff back from both. Rude.
I don't think we'll be returning. There's plenty of other cafes in Preston to choose from.
A beautiful old glory proper cafe. I fell in love with the decor, huge chandelier, marble tables and leather chairs. Despite the old style, the place is Clean and well maintained. Helpful staff and family friendly. Food is good and prices are fair.
Oldest surviving cafe in Preston, with a deco styled interior. Coffee is ok but worth visiting for the malted coffee especially
Good selection of cakes and cooked food served here is generally decent
Walking past Brucciani, you’re immediately drawn in by the old architecture and retro marble look inside. The place is huge and they have really kept the style of the 60s/70s. Unfortunately however, they’ve done the same with the food. After ordering my go to brunch of salmon and eggs, I was extremely disappointed. The salmon tasted like it was straight from a packet, eggs were bland beyond belief and I left the avocado. The food here really needs modernising and perfecting before I will consider returning
This authentic Caffe has left the best impressions! Delicious dishes, nice presentation, A good selection of food and wonderful dessert. The owner is a bit grumpy but apart from that , I recommend it to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again! I give you my 5 stars!
This was the first time eating here. We had 1 full breakfast and 1 eggs Royal with salmon. The food was delicious. We had two large latter's but when they came they were quite small for the price. The atmosphere was great and reminded me of a 1930's bar. The stain glass window was lovely. I was amazed at how the shop opened up inside. It is a very large eating establishment.
Brucciani's is a great place if you are in Preston close to station and Fishergate shopping centre and want some food.
Good selection of breakfasts and other meals. Nice hot drinks.
The inside is quite retro
The combination of food and keen prices makes it a great place to visit and I will be back.
Went in earlier today and ordered 2 large coffees and 2 Full Rnglish Breakfasts. The bacon was rock hard, the sausage had a leather jacket on, the mushrooms greasy, hash brown greasy, black pudding was dry, brown toast with a great dollop of cheap margarine and what looked like a half a large tin of cheap beans. The only thing on the plate that was nice was the egg and the tomato. The coffee had hardly any taste. That totalled just short of £25.00. Needless to say we will not be going there again. It was disgusting. What's happened to this place? It used to be packed, today there weren't many people at all. Perhaps most people knew something we didn't.
