Quick Facts About Busk

Busk Place, located in York, is home to a great little café that offers a range of cakes and delicious coffee. It also boasts a seating area at the rear and a disabled accessible toilet. Situated just a few minutes' walk from the riverside path, it is conveniently located for those looking to take a break while exploring the area. The café is also conveniently positioned opposite St. George's School, making it an ideal spot for students and staff to grab a quick bite to eat.
One of the major strengths of Busk Place is its interior design and ambiance. The café has been beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers. The stylish crockery adds a touch of elegance to the overall experience. Additionally, the staff members are said to be lovely and delightful, providing excellent customer service to ensure that visitors have a pleasant dining experience.
Another strength of Busk Place is the quality of its coffee. According to multiple comments, the coffee served at this café is fantastic and delicious. Customers appreciate the fantastic flavors and commend the café for using the best local ingredients. The fact that everything is hand-made in Yorkshire adds a touch of authenticity to the coffee and enhances its overall quality.
The café's location is another strength worth mentioning. Positioned near the riverside path at the end of Sandringham Street and Blue Bridge Lane, Busk Place is conveniently located for those who wish to take a break or grab a coffee while exploring the area. Its proximity to St. George's School also makes it easily accessible for students and staff members, allowing them to pop in for a quick drink or snack during their breaks.
Furthermore, the café's ability to cater to different customer preferences is evident in the range of food options available. While the food menu is currently limited to cakes, sandwiches, and soup, customers commend the café for its tasty offerings. It is worth noting that the café is also committed to continuously improving and expanding their menu, which suggests that customers can expect more variety in the future.
Despite its strengths, like any café, Busk Place also has its weaknesses. One potential weakness is its limited food menu. Although the café offers tasty cakes, sandwiches, and soup, some customers may prefer a wider variety of food options to choose from. However, it is important to note that this weakness is acknowledged by the café itself, as they are actively working to expand their food offerings.
Another potential weakness is the café's size. While it is described as a great little café, it is also mentioned that it can get bustling and potentially crowded during peak times. This may be a deterrent for individuals looking for a quieter and more serene café experience. However, many customers appreciate the fact that despite being bustling, it is not as packed as the cafes in the city center, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.
In conclusion, Busk Place is a charming café in York that offers a range of delicious cakes, sandwiches, and soup. With a stylish interior, friendly staff, and delicious coffee, it is no surprise that many customers have praised the café. While the limited food menu and potential overcrowding during peak times may be considered weaknesses, it is clear that the owners are actively working to address these issues. Overall, Busk Place shows great potential to become a regular spot for coffee lovers and musicians in York.

Great little cafe with range of cakes and seating at rear, disabled accessible toilet. A few minutes walk from riverside path at end of Sandringham St or Blue Bridge Lane, opposite St Georges School
I can’t wait to see the development of this little gem of a coffee shop. The interiors are gorgeous and the crockery stylish, which pairs delightfully with the fantastic flavours of their coffee. Seriously, it’s very good! The food is limited at the moment to cakes, sandwiches and soup but what they do offer is very tasty indeed. I’m so excited to see this place grow and become a regular spot for coffee lovers and musicians alike!
Could it be the best new coffee shop in York?
Busk is fabulous. It’s delicious coffee and a neat selection of tasty treats served up by lovely people. I had a coffee a brownie and a chat, and I’m now looking forward to seeing how the live music space behind the counter develops.
I’ll be back to check it out!
Such a lovely spot! Bustling but never as packed as the cafes in the city centre, so great to linger
Beautiful tasting coffee and the best local ingredients and all hand made in Yorkshire. Hands down the best in York
Lovely, cute little cafe with delightful staff and lovely food. Really helpful as well when we were desperate for lunch and they were near closing.
A wonderful, newly opened cafe, so friendly and happy to help. Simple breakfast of coffees and crumpets done perfectly.
We left just as brownies were being taken from the oven and the smell was divine! Might well pick some up on the way past later (if any are left!)
Wonderful place to pop in for a terrific drink to go.
