One of the strengths of Ship Aground Pembrey Place is its dog-friendly policy. It is mentioned in one of the comments that dogs are allowed on the terrace and in the beer garden. We were so lucky to find this pub on our holiday, tempted in by the dog friendly signs (dogs allowed on the terrace and in the beer garden). The staff are very welcoming, attentive and friendly, the food was all cooked fresh to order and everything was delicious (including the puddings). The inside eating area was lovely and cosy too. We returned for Sunday lunch and again for our final meal. Would 100% recommend and we are already planning a return next year!
The choice was very good, something for everyone. The food was excellent as was the service. My only negative was the alcohol price , £25 for a bottle of red wine in a pub is somewhat steep. I would return though and do recommend it.
Whilst sitting in the restaurant looking at the open fire the atmosphere is set.
The food for a pub was exceptional with a varied menu.

Great pub! We Sunday roast dinners and they were spot on. Staff are friendly and very attentive
Lovely decor when we walked in, not what we expected. Food was tasty although slightly cold and waitress came very quickly to clear plates away, quite pricey too
Had a great meal and drink.
Food was very reasonable, well cooked, and a good portion.
Beer was good.
Lass that served us was fab.
Will return on our next visit.
Dogs were welcome, too.
If you like reasonably priced, well cooked pub grub, this is a great place.
A lovely traditional pub / restaurant, Smart decor and an inviting looking dining room . Efficient service and a delicious Sunday lunch . It would have been even better to have some boiled or mashed potatoes, not just roast potatoes. Peas would have been nice too . As a party of 6 for my mums 85th we all agreed . Otherwise really enjoyable .
