3. Rude and unprofessional behavior: The negative comment mentioning rude and judgmental behavior towards customers is a significant weakness, as it reflects poorly on the salon's professionalism and customer service. Rude behavior can deter customers from returning and negatively impact the salon's reputation.

5. Noise level and presence of children: The comment mentioning a loud environment and the presence of workers' children highlights a potential weakness. A noisy environment can be off-putting for customers seeking a relaxing and peaceful experience. Additionally, the presence of children may potentially affect the professionalism and efficiency of the salon.
6. Lack of adherence to health and safety guidelines: The negative comment stating that the salon staff do not wear masks and engage in unsanitary practices, such as not washing hands after using the bathroom, is a significant weakness. This not only poses a health risk to customers but also reflects a lack of professionalism and care for their well-being.
In conclusion, Butu's Hair Salon & African Gift Shop has strengths in terms of positive word-of-mouth, friendly staff, honest advice, skillful braiding, and a clean environment. However, weaknesses in service quality, inconsistency, rude behavior, miscommunication, noise level, and adherence to health and safety guidelines need to be addressed in order to improve customer satisfaction and the salon's overall reputation.

Worst salon I’ve ever been to. I don’t recommend getting sew ins here. They were rushing the whole time to be done with my hair and were so rough they were creating knots in my hair, brushing my curly type hair from top to bottom. I only need one bundle since I already have a lot of hair, I paid $140 for my 28" bundle, they asked me if I wanted to use it all I said YES and when she was “finished” she gave me some of the hair back??? I have very long hair already so they should have known to put the weave in the back of my head, not on top. Why would I buy 28" of hair? It was thin, didn’t blend & my hair was greasy. Since it was so thin I asked her if she even doubled the hair like I told her to do when she asked, she said yes but she did not. I knew she didn’t. She knew it looked bad she asked me if I wanted to trim the ends. Why would I want to trim 28 inches of human hair that I bought? And had the nerve to charge $120. I’ve paid $80 for a better job. I took it out as soon as I got home. So unprofessional. They lied to me, they were rough, and did nothing I asked of them.
This is my go to place to get my hair braided. They do an amazing job every time. My sisters and other families come here as well, never disappoints.
The women who did my hair were nice. However, I showed them several pictures and video and gave verbal explanation of how I wanted my hair. They said they understood. I expressed how large I wanted the braids. Many many times. They said yes, I see how you want them and they know what I'm saying. My braids are not consistent in size. I wanted full consistent thickness of braids to my mid back before they tapered. Instead I have randomly thinning out braids that are unevenly tapered. The cost was too much for what I got. The bottom of the braids look undone and will have to be worn in a bun for them to look ok. I was tired of explaining how big I wanted them so I paid and left.
Not professional at all. Very rude and judgmental towards customers. I called because I got my hair done at another shop. But that shop was closed I asked the owner before I drove 45 minutes out if there was a charge just to clean my braids up. She stated no and for me to call her once I got outside. So when I arrived I called her and that's when she told me oh it's a charge after I drove the whole way!! I don't mind paying but you can't do that to a customer is not okay. What if it wasn't in my price range. If I could give zero stars I would!! I do not recommend this place at all to any customers who don't want to be ripped off and spoken to with such swears over the phone do not go here
!! Plus they do not wear mask and I caught her picking her nose absolutely disgusting and did not wash her hands after using the bathroom
They do a fantastic job. Even tell you when something won’t last in your hair and to try another option so you don’t waste your money. Be aware, that it can get loud in there. The workers normally have their kids there all day and everyone is talking very loudly.
Courteous. Efficient. Fast & Dependable. I love Butu!!! Their braiding skills are top notch & I love their clothing & jewelry too!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Butu and her entire staff! My daughter has been getting her hair braided here for the last 6 years and we would not take her anywhere else! Highly Recommended!!!
The ladies did a great job with my braids! I will definitely return. The place was cleanand and I was comfortable which is very important! I looked around and everyone that was getting their hair done looked great. I highly recommend this place. Thank you ladies for your hard work.
