One of the major weaknesses mentioned in the comments is poor customer service. I’ve ordered “Our Famous Chicken Curry” it came super hot but the chicken was frozen. They’ve refused to return it back, and I had I eat just the small portion of the rice.
My partner had a beef lasagne, it came with just minced beef covered of cheese with super hot melted cheese and frozen beef in the lower layers.
Do yourself a favour and avoid wasting your money there.
Zero stars. One of the worst places I've had the misfortune of visiting in my life.
Service was ridiculously slow, staff seemed to have the get up and go of a stoned teenager. Waited absolutely ages to be served.
Prices were ridiculous for food & drink. I suggested to my wife we leave after we had queued about 15 minutes to order but she was desperate for the toilet and my kids were hungry. My wife said the toilets were up about 3 flights of stairs and were dirty. Place was dirty, sticky, untidy & as mentioned - the staff didn't want to be there. Kicking myself for not dragging my family out.
Very disappointing! Place was almost empty but still had to get the waiter to wipe the table as spilt drinks etc still on the table, he then only wiped the half we were sat at! When the food came the soup was OK but the side salad was very limp it had seen better days,! the sandwich had one slice of bread OK and the other was dry and quite hard at the edge's. The toilets needed deep clean,! Would not recommend, there are much better places to go! And better value!
Conveniently placed, in a prime site, on main street and Staff reasonably amiable. But small portion fish and chips were greasy and undercooked. And quite pricey. Key for toilets have to be obtained from the counter. And there were a couple of short flights of stairs to lavatory. Which looked rather tired and no toilet paper.
Probably just cater for passing trade. But would not go again. Tables laid out like a reformatory.
Popped in with some friends for a few drinks and a snack. It wasn't very busy at the time, quite an open, dark place, perhaps due to the weather. We ordered drinks and some small cake snacks. I asked where the toilets were, the young lady behind the till was very quiet, told me they were upstairs and mentioned something else that I didn't catch. As I was walking to the door, I realised that she was holding a buzzer to open it. The men's room was up 2 flights of stairs and definitely needed a clean. It stank of pee, the floor was covered in it and the urinal looked like it needed a thorough scrub. The cafe soon developed quite a large cue whilst we were waiting for our things. The Peppermint tea was nice, served with a refill pot. The egg custard tart was tasty but the pastry seemed a bit stale, one of my friends said the same of her éclair, with another not enjoying her shortcrust at all and offering it to me. Considering the prices, this is rather disappointing. I'd definitely go back for a tea but perhaps not a cake.
My wife & I visited today on our trip from Glasgow. Very quick service, piping hot food and tasted delicious. I had cottage pie, my wife had lasagne & 2 pots of tea, the bill came to £19.95. A very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
When I was in this restaurant today I just couldn't believe it what happened. I ordered a coffee and my kids ate pizza but from other shops. After a waitress came up to me and said that I can't eat food from another restaurant Wow .. I was very shocked because my kids wanted pizza, so . The waitress asked me out of the restaurant. I just met it for the first time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. There is not even a decent high chair for a child. The waitress brought me a broken chair where I had to put my child. Let the manager take care of this restaurant because I can see that the reviews are not very good .
Never again !
Poor. Didn't have the flavour of tea we wanted, then no facility to make the cream for hot chocolate so ended up with a small latte and a different flavour of tea, small slice of millionaire shortcake and a piece of chocolate orange cake. Just short of £15.00 ???? absolute rip off.
AVOID THIS PLACE .
