Starting with the strengths, several customers praised the staff at Cafe Morso. They have been described as friendly, chatty, and polite. One customer even mentioned that the young man who served them had a great personality. This indicates that the staff members have excellent customer service skills and create a pleasant atmosphere for customers. Additionally, the cafe is said to be dog-friendly, which attracts pet owners and adds to the welcoming ambiance.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the quality of the drinks and cakes at Cafe Morso. Many customers enjoyed the coffee and cakes, mentioning that they were delicious. The Americano and chocolate brownies specifically were highly recommended. This indicates that the cafe excels in providing tasty and satisfying beverages and desserts.
Furthermore, one customer mentioned that Cafe Morso is a relaxing place with a good atmosphere. This suggests that the ambiance of the cafe is conducive to relaxation and offers a pleasant environment for customers to sit and enjoy their drinks.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed. One significant issue raised by a customer is that they experienced food poisoning after eating poached eggs at Cafe Morso. This is a serious concern and reflects poorly on the hygiene and food safety practices of the establishment. Food poisoning incidents can severely damage the reputation of a cafe and deter customers from returning in the future.
Another weakness mentioned by a customer is the unprofessional behavior of a staff member. They observed that the server was on her phone and coughing, which they found unhygienic. Additionally, they felt that the server treated them differently compared to older customers, making them feel uncomfortable. This highlights a lack of professionalism and customer care on the part of the staff member.
The issue of slow service was also brought up by a customer. They mentioned that their food took too long to arrive and arrived after they had finished eating. This suggests a problem with the efficiency and organization of the kitchen and service staff, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction and frustration.
Additionally, a customer mentioned that they had to go look for a menu, indicating a lack of attentiveness from the staff. Being proactive in providing menus to customers is an essential aspect of good service, and this oversight reflects negatively on the cafe.
Lastly, the prices were mentioned as being a little expensive by a customer. While this is a subjective opinion, it is important for cafes to ensure that their prices are reasonable and provide value for money to customers. If customers perceive the prices to be too high, it may discourage them from returning and decrease their overall satisfaction.
In conclusion, Cafe Morso in Barnt Green has several strengths and weaknesses based on customer feedback. The strengths include friendly staff, delicious drinks, a dog-friendly environment, and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the weaknesses include concerns about food poisoning, unprofessional behavior from a staff member, slow service, lack of attentiveness, and perceived high prices. Addressing these weaknesses and ensuring consistent quality and service will be essential for the cafe to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Used to visit here weekly but would never eat here again after having food poisoning from some poached eggs that I ordered. I started to feel very sick within an hour of eating them for breakfast here. That particular morning, the staff member serving was also sat on her phone a lot and looked agitated I had entered the shop. She was coughing her guts up everywhere which I found really unhygienic. Fair enough if you are ill, you are ill, but she managed to compose herself, stop coughing and come off her phone when 2 much older customers than myself entered the shop. She was also a lot more attentive suddenly. Made me feel as though because I am younger, she felt comfortable being unprofessional ( I was the only person in the cafe at first).
Being fair, I've been back for drinks since when I noticed new staff members working there and the lady who served us was lovely. The drinks are nice and I can recommend for drinks, but my previous experience with the food has naturally put me off and I would not eat here again.
Just been to Morso for lunch, its a lovely relaxing place, the staff were friendly it would of been nice to be given a menu rather than having to go look for one. The food was good but took far too long to come and a little expensive which I may of let go if it had come out at a reasonable time. My sons girlfriend Maddie did enjoy her sandwich ????
Rude, she I ignored us when we walked in, never bothered giving us menus but concentrated on the table of 7 who came after us. Unbelievably rude. Didn’t feel comfortable in there at all.
We came in and had flat whites, and an apple juice for our toddler. We also had three of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever eaten in my life: mince-pie shortbread; Christmas rocky road, and an Oreo brownie. The cakes were so good I decided to write this review - but by the time I’d made the decision, all the cakes had been eaten! If you’re ever in Barnt Green, you HAVE to stop in!
great coffee shop in barnt green, staff are always happy and chatty can get quite busy at weekends but gives it a good atmosphere, only had coffee and cakes, really good americano and my daughter loves the chocolate brownies here.
Granted we did get an apology and an IOU for two free drinks for next time we visit.
However, the coffees were ordered at the same time as the meal but did not arrive until we had finished eating and had our plates cleared away about 30mins earlier.
Lovely dog friendly cafe. Good food and the two young men who were serving us were very polite and helpful
Came on after a 5 mile walk vegan breakfast and hot chocolate was fab, the young guy who served us is a great personality also. We will be back!
