The menu is another strength, as it is detailed and offers a lot of variety. This allows customers to choose dishes that cater to their preferences and dietary restrictions. Additionally, the coconut rice and vanilla shake are specifically mentioned as being enjoyable, indicating that the restaurant has some standout dishes and beverages.
The decor of the restaurant is also praised, with several customers mentioning that they love the atmosphere. This suggests that the ambiance of Cats Cafe des Artistes Thai Restaurant is appealing and contributes to a pleasant dining experience.

This inconsistency can be off-putting to customers who want a reliable and consistently good dining experience.
The food itself also receives mixed reviews. While some dishes like the Tom kha soup, massaman beef, pandan leaf chicken, and fish cakes are praised, others like the starter chicken wings and pad Thai with prawns are criticized. This indicates that the food quality and taste may vary depending on the dish, which contributes to the overall inconsistency mentioned earlier.

In conclusion, Cats Cafe des Artistes Thai Restaurant has several strengths including excellent customer service, a detailed menu with variety, a welcoming atmosphere, authentic and tasty Thai food, and reasonable prices. However, there are also weaknesses such as inconsistency in both food quality and service, which can impact the overall dining experience.

I am about you tell you something really stupid:
I avoided going into Cats for the past 3 years cause I actually thought the restaurant had CATS???????? and I am terrified cats!
Anyway, worth the wait. More than the food the hospitality was A1 and I have to mention Dang- a sweet sweet lady who feeds you like your ma/grandma would!
Sweet smile and so enthusiastic about her job!
Coming to the food-
The Menu is detailed and lots to choose from.
I had a green thai curry- which was ok.
The coconut rice was really good and a must try!
We also ordered a vegetarian started platter which was filling and alot of variety.
The vanilla shake is also nice.
Good seating and the place soon filled up!
But again do drop by for Dang!
Have been coming to Cats for the last 11 years since moving to the area.
Always loved the decor, the staff has always been friendly. I’ve even ordered delivery during lockdown.
My favourites of this place has always been the Tom kha soup (great for those who can’t eat too spicy), massaman beef (they have good chunks of beef, that seems to have been marinated/cooked over a long period in the curry, great for people who can’t eat too spicy, but avoid if you can’t/don’t eat peanuts). Other dishes I enjoy are their pandan leaf chicken, tilapia in their house special sauce, fish cakes… Their sweetcorn cakes… thought they were made differently before, but wasn’t too appealing after eating one this time.
My other favourite that goes well with the curry is their coconut rice, though reduced a star coz my recent visit seemed like the rice wasn’t cooked in the coconut milk, but instead had been mixed in after ordering so not as fragrant and less tasty, which was the let down ????
Oh and I always like getting a mango and orange sorbet shake - so refreshing ????
We loved it here, very tasty and authentic Thai food. Service was fast and the bill wasn't too expensive. We will be back ????
Excellent quality food with a first class service from the kitchen delivered in style by the multi talented bar and dining manager Ryan and his team.
Best food I've ever had !!! I have not been a big fan of Thai food because of the spice but after today..
Great atmosphere, wonderful service and good food. I had the fishcakes as a starter and they weren't that great to be honest. The duck curry, however, was absolutely delicious. The pandan rice wasn't anything special either... I think for me the thing that stood out most was the service. Lovely bunch, plus interesting decor.
Nice, very nice. Service was a little slow, but I think as we (4 adults and 2 children) walked in so did a few others so it was busy all of a sudden. All the chicken is halal. The decor is lovely. Now to the food. Me and the kids ordered chicken wings, chicken basket and chicken satay for starter's. I loved it, so much so that I shouldn't have even bothered with a main, I got my usual garlic chicken stir fry with vegetable rice. Rice was spot on as was the portion, the chicken stir fry could've been a little bit better. My wife got pad Thai with prawns, she was disappointed on this occasion, she's been eating here for the last 6 weeks every Monday and swears by it that's it really good. Nothing to really complain about other then the slow service tbh. If your in the area definitely worth a try.
Been a few times and the place is very inconsistent, more consistently bad than good. In fact I think my only good experience was my first, very subsequent visit after as been awful from the lazy inattentive staff to the average food. Last time I walked in, rang the bell waited for 5 mins, then went to the loo and returned and there was still no staff around. Eventually a waitress who looked like she'd been sleeping said that her colleague has just stepped out and would return shortly. There's pretty of amazing food and Thai food in the area, this isn't one of them.
