Quick Facts About China City

China City has several strengths that make it a popular choice for customers. One of the main strengths is that the food is described as "gut und günstig" (good and affordable) by one customer. The prices are reasonable and the portions are ample, providing value for money. This is further supported by another comment that praises the restaurant for being open until midnight, accommodating late-night cravings for good food at a reasonable price. Additionally, the staff is described as friendly and the management is said to be excellent, indicating good customer service.
Another strength of China City is the variety and quality of their vegan options. One customer mentions that they were pleasantly surprised by the selection of vegan dishes available. They specifically recommend the chili tofu, which they found to be delicious. This highlights the restaurant's ability to cater to different dietary preferences and provide tasty options for vegan customers.
The restaurant is also praised for its quick service and high food turnover. This suggests that the staff work efficiently to deliver food promptly, which could be attractive to customers seeking a quick bite or for those with limited time. The fact that the food is always fresh and hot indicates that China City prioritizes quality in their preparation and cooking process.
However, there are also weaknesses that customers have identified. One customer found the food to be quite bland and the portion sizes to be small. This suggests that the taste and value for money may not be consistent across all dishes on the menu. Another customer expressed disappointment in the prawn stir fry, stating that it lacked sauce and had a presentation that did not match the menu's pictures. This indicates potential inconsistencies in the quality and presentation of dishes.
Some customers also mentioned their dissatisfaction with the overall dining experience. One customer felt that the restaurant lacked atmosphere due to small plates and cramped tables. Additionally, another customer mentioned that the staff appeared inattentive at times.
In conclusion, China City has several strengths that make it an attractive choice for customers, including good and affordable food, a variety of vegan options, quick service, and friendly staff. However, there are also weaknesses, such as potential inconsistencies in taste and portion sizes, as well as issues with the dining atmosphere and attentive staff. Overall, while China City has its strengths, improvements could be made in certain areas to enhance the overall customer experience.

Best TL Reviews

Essen - gut und günstig
Last minute dash in after street food was closed. Tbh wasn't sure what to expect as v mixed reviews over the past few years but much better this year.
Happy with customer service, delicious taste ample portions and very affordable price. Thank you China City we will be back????
So grateful that they open till midnight. Very good food with reasonable price. Portion a little bit small but they are really tasty.
Really disappointing. It was the only place without a massive queue and that says it all really. Quite expensive for the amount of food and the quality wasn't the best either. It was just quite bland. Not only that but the food came out so quickly apart from one dish. I was waiting about 10-15nins before I said something and then about 10 mins before the dish came out. Noone explained why it was so much later than the rest of the food. The staff were really nice but I don't intend on going back
Whilst visiting Manchester we decided to go for a Chinese meal in China Town on a Thursday night.
We weren't really sure of what to expect, just walking past many places I saw the menu and it had a good selection of vegan options so decided to take the plunge and popped in.
The lady serving us was very friendly and opted for the chilli tofu with plain rice and my wife went for crispy aubergine.
The kids ordered chicken chow mein (standard).
It didn't take too long and became the highlight of my Manchester visit. Both the vegan dishes were sooo delicious I couldn't stop thinking about it days after ha.
Prawn stir fry was noodles and 4 peices of prawns with no sauce. Pictures on the menu looked nothing like the food served. Plates too small and table felt quite cramped. The food looked like it was rustled up by an inexperienced cook. £50 for 2 and was not worth the money and staff were often unattentive
A small restaurant with high food turnover. Food is always fresh and hot. Staff are ok and the management is excellent.
Kil restaurant in souterrain maar goed eten en vlotte bediening.
