Quick Facts About City Nails

City Nails has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. We will explore each aspect in detail below.
Strengths:
1. Skillful Technicians: Many customers praise certain technicians at City Nails for their excellent work. Tony, in particular, is mentioned multiple times for his great job and ability to engage in conversations. This indicates that the salon has skilled technicians who are capable of providing satisfactory nail services.
2. Positive Experiences: Some customers have expressed satisfaction and enjoyment from their visits to City Nails. They appreciate the pampering and relaxation they experience during their appointments. This suggests that the salon creates a positive atmosphere that allows customers to indulge in self-care.
3. Longevity: One customer mentions being a long-term client of City Nails, indicating that the salon has been in business for a significant period. This longevity suggests that they have managed to retain customers, potentially due to consistent service quality.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of Sanitary Conditions: Several comments describe unsanitary conditions at City Nails, such as reusing drill bits on multiple clients and inadequate tool sanitization. Sanitation is crucial in a nail salon to prevent infection and ensure customer safety. The consistent mentioning of unsanitary practices suggests that City Nails may not prioritize this aspect adequately.
2. Inconsistent Service: Some comments indicate that different technicians at City Nails may offer varying levels of service quality. While certain individuals are commended for their skill and positive attitude, others are criticized for being rude, aggressive, or not doing nails properly. This inconsistency could be a result of differing skill levels or a lack of proper training and supervision.
3. Pricing Inconsistencies: A couple of customers complain about unclear and fluctuating pricing at City Nails. There are mentions of differences between the advertised prices and the actual charges, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction. Transparency in pricing is crucial to maintain trust and loyalty among clients.
4. Customer Treatment: There are several complaints regarding poor customer treatment at City Nails. Instances of rudeness, aggression, and disrespectful behavior by certain staff members are mentioned. This not only affects the overall customer experience but also raises concerns about the salon's professionalism and customer service standards.
5. Potential Damage and Lack of Skill: Some customers report experiencing nail damage during their visits to City Nails. Issues include thinning of natural nails, improper removal techniques, cuts from the drill, and acrylics that are thick and uneven. These problems indicate a lack of skill, attention to detail, and proper training among certain technicians at the salon.
6. Appearance and Cleanliness: There are comments suggesting that City Nails may not maintain its premises to the highest standards of cleanliness and upkeep. These remarks mention a run-down appearance, semi-dirty conditions, and an overall unappealing environment. Maintaining a clean and pleasant ambiance is crucial for creating a positive impression on customers.
In conclusion, City Nails has both positive and negative aspects based on the comments provided. While they have skilled technicians who provide satisfactory services and create a positive experience for some customers, they also face issues with inconsistent service quality, sanitation practices, customer treatment, pricing transparency, and overall cleanliness. These weaknesses indicate areas that City Nails needs to address and improve upon to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Best TL Reviews

Well, I went in for a fill-in, haven't had a set of nails in years. This place was where I went. I was one of the first customers. The reviews I've read though disheartening; my experience today was quite the opposite. Tony did a great job and provided great conversation while working. I'd go back again and again.
I needed a manicure and pedicure as requested by my wife. I went to City Nails and was abused. My feet and hands are tender from the lady rushing. My nails were bleeding. Maybe because I’m a man and they thought I wouldn’t come back, and I won’t. Unless you have a good relationship I wouldn’t use them if they were the last place on earth.
Had a great experience with Tony. He did an absolute amazing job on my nails. I definitely enjoyed my pamper myself time with him. Will definitely be back to have my nails done by him again!
I have gone here for a very long time, prior to covid they were amazinggg Vinny (the younger man) has amazing talent as well as the younger woman, Anne. However they don’t seem to have the same positivity they use to, very rude since they are charging crazy prices for mediocre nails. The price of acrylics in the board vs once they charge you doesn’t even make since when you ask. You shouldn’t be charging $40 more for a millimeter longer smh. Also not to pension the complete unsanitary conditions… using the same drill bits on clients, not sanitizing tool etc. Just sit down get done as fast as possible then onto the next with them. Other nail “professionals” there are not so good can not do difficult designs.
I normally love this place cause the younger lady does great and definitely knows what she’s doing as well as keeping a conversation going. I’m honestly very upset for not just waiting for her.. the older lady was aggressive she didn’t even do my nails right nor did she file them down evenly and properly, Iv literally only had my
Nails done a week and need a fill-in.. then she charged me more then what she charged a few weeks ago.. I feel very disrespected and treated like my hands where rag dolls!!!
Went to get my old acrylics removed and new ones put on. Nail tech (owner I think) was hurting me removing my nails with a tool instead of just soaking alone. She pulled my top nail layer off doing it that way and now my actual nails are super thin. She used a magazine instead of paper towel. She cut me a few times with the drill. My acrylics are thick and uneven and the nail polish is thick and uneven. It's not the worst job I have had but not the best either. She tried charging me $80 for removal and a basic set of acrylics with gel polish, like clear basic acrylics. When I questioned it she decided to lower the price. They did that to another customer that I over heard. All I can say is the place looks a little run down, semi dirty, and not a place I'll go to again. I should have just left but I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Not doing that again.
The mom always has a bad attitude. Which I think it’s because the husband is there early then the open and he’s actually working. She is very rude and doesn’t speak when spoken to. Very hard on my hands with that drill . She put so much glue on my nails that’s all my real nails came off when time for a new set. So I stopped dealing with her and started going to the husband he does a amazing job and he also knows how to carry on conversation I’m not sure if they using cheap nails or what but I got my nails done three days and 3 tips broke just from doing normal everyday things. I really liked this place the first few times. One more bad experience I’m gonna have to go somewhere else again.
Love my nails! thank you tony
