Very disappointing. I’ve been going here for years now, went yesterday and had a terrible experience. Waited for this woman to show up in the first place. And the body language and attitude just spelled out that, this woman didn’t want to work. Like she’s doing me a favor. I just left after noticing how unwelcoming things have turned out to be. Anyway, may peace be upon all the women there and their shop!
They do awesome with hair but their customer service lacks professionalism and manners. They need to hire a secretary to answer phones and make appointments.
I went there to get my hair done last Christmas because my regular hair stylist was out of the country. My scheduled time was 8:30 am. I got there at 8:15 am. I Sat and waited for about 20 mins. When I got to the chair, I told her what I wanted. She started with my hair around 9:15 am, and I did not leave until 9:30 pm.
The level of dissatisfaction I left from that experience and my hair prevented me from getting my hair braided again for 7 months. During my 12 hours sitting in that chair, she spent more time on the PHONE and TALKING to other hair stylists. At one point, she left for a few mins, then came back, then an hour later, she took a 30 mins lunch while I was sitting there. She braided my hair for another hour or two, then went to get her kids, fed them, and sent them off, then started my hair again. I was beyond annoyed and upset about the lack of professionalism that was shown, and on top of that, I told her NOT to braid my edges, and she went braided my soul into them. The level of pain I felt for the first WEEK after brought me to tears. The braids were too HEAVY for the hair from my edges that it caused my hair to be ripped from its roots. It was so bad that I reached out by phone and text asking if I could come back to have the braids at the front redone. I got no response via phone or text.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. It is not worth your money or your edges.
I always get box braids I love this shop no complaints at all
I got micros for the first time and I absolutely love them! My hair is pretty short since I did the big chop and Coumba gripped everything! Plus it only took 9hrs and that's including breaks!
I went with daughter she got braids and I got my dreads retwisted. Her braids came out dope but the retwists,no,no. Waste of money will never go back to get mydreads retwisted, too flaky for my liking. They need to stick to hair hair extensions. Because whatever they use to retwist is no good causes too much flaky build up.step your game up ladies. Again my daughters braids are very nice I would bring her back but I wouldn't get my dreads retwisted there again.
This African hair braiding shop is disgusting, they talk entirely to much they bring kids that they have no control of, they kids cry to much, people's head alr hurt.they don't wash they hands before or after they eat, and then go back into somebody's head . It's just disrespectful to the ppl there getting there hair done
