Quick Facts About Diva Nails & Spa
Diva Nails & Spa has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, it is mentioned that the technician who did the friend's nails did a great job. This shows that Diva Nails & Spa has skilled technicians who are capable of providing quality nail services. Additionally, the commenter mentions that they have been going to this salon for a couple of years, which suggests that they have built a loyal customer base. This indicates that Diva Nails & Spa has been able to attract and retain customers over time, which is a sign of customer satisfaction.
Another strength mentioned is the customer service. One commenter states that they received great customer service during their first visit, and another commenter praises the nail technicians for being amazing and leaving customers with fabulous nails. This suggests that Diva Nails & Spa has friendly and attentive staff who strive to provide a positive experience for customers.
Moving on to the weaknesses, there are several comments pointing out issues with the quality of the services provided. One commenter had to repeatedly ask the technician to shorten their nails, and even then, the shape and thickness of the nails were uneven. The paint job was also described as awful, with the polish being so thin that it was see-through. Another commenter mentions that their pedicure experience was not relaxing at all, as there was no exfoliation or lotion provided, leaving their legs feeling dry. These comments indicate that there may be inconsistency in the quality of services provided at Diva Nails & Spa.
There are also concerns raised about the professionalism and hygiene practices of the salon. One commenter mentions that they experienced a rough pedicure, resulting in a blood infection. Another commenter notes that there was blood on the underside of their toe after a pedicure. These incidents suggest that Diva Nails & Spa may have lapses in hygiene protocols and careful handling of clients.
There are also comments about the rushed nature of the services provided. One commenter felt rushed during their pedicure and mentioned that the whole process took only 20 minutes. Another commenter mentions feeling rushed during their visit and noticed that other customers also sat in silence as they were worked on. These comments indicate that there may be a lack of attention and time management skills from the staff at Diva Nails & Spa.
Furthermore, there are comments about issues with appointments and walk-ins. One commenter tried to walk in for a manicure and pedicure but was told they needed an appointment. Another commenter mentioned that the salon did not honor their walk-in policy and told the commenter that the next available appointment was in the late afternoon. These incidents suggest a lack of clarity and consistency in the salon's appointment and walk-in policies.
Overall, Diva Nails & Spa has strengths in terms of skilled technicians and friendly customer service. However, there are weaknesses in the quality of services provided, professionalism and hygiene practices, rushed services, and issues with appointments and walk-ins. These weaknesses may contribute to a less than satisfactory experience for some customers.
Best TL Reviews
So I don’t normally write reviews of places but this has to be said. My friend and I went here as a treat to get full sets for her birthday. It was towards the end of the day and one of the guys started working on my nails. I had to ask him about 3 or 4 times to shorten them because I work with kids and i can’t have long nails. They were still quite long and the shape was very uneven. when he started applying the acrylic power it was all over the place. Some nails were thick on one side and thin on the other. I thought maybe he would fix it but he never did. The paint job was awful. You could literally see right through it. The whole time my friend was getting her nails done as she started 10 minutes after me and finished at least 10 minutes before me. Her nails looked great so the tech who did her was fine. But the tech who did mine was either new or didn’t really care.I’ve gotten acrylic nails multiple times but never have they been this bad. Unfortunately I am to nice of a person to say anything so i paid and left without tipping. By the time i got home my nails hurt so badly and it felt so uncomfortable. I ended up going to a different salon and getting them redone just 2 days later. I’ve added photos so people can see how bad they were. I literally started crying just minutes after walking out of the salon.
Went to this salon for a couple years. Suddenly employees are leaving. Wanted to give them a chance after the person I always had left. Bad decision. After almost 2 hours of him digging and trying to pull off old acrylics I left. Terrible pedicure and when I got home found blood on underside of my toe. 3 weeks later still dealing with an infection he caused. Google owner of diva nails Northville- shocking information.
I got a pedicure here and it was not a relaxing experience at all. The tech did a good job with the polish but this is not the experience I am used to. There was no exfoliation for your legs or lotion, they threw a warm towel on my legs for a few minutes and that was all, and that made my legs feel dry by the time I left and I had to use my own lotion when I got home. The pedicure was $50 and in my opinion it was not worth it at all. It felt like all I got was a polish but no other spa experience.
Little disappointed in todays visit. Usually you want to be relaxed with a pedicure, however I felt very rushed.. not very relaxed and the whole process took about 20 minutes… I sat down next to another young lady who look like she had been there and established in her seat. I was done before her… I rarely get to do something for myself and I was met with a rushed visit and rough hands on my feet.. not really worth the price sadly
I’ve gone to this place three times; received service twice. First time was good! Really good service, great customer service. Next brought my daughter and some friends and got all of us mani/pedis while I was getting my nails done the man told me he wouldn’t do color because my nails were short; wait what?? I was just here and got my nails painted…my nails weren’t nubs just not artificial extensions. The problem was he just didn’t want to do them but he still charged me for a full manicure but turned around and charged my daughter extra because she asked for a different color on one of her nails (which btw were short) but done by another person there. I figured out that he just didn’t want to do it because he also stated he didn’t do pedicures either. ((Sigh)) this is a nail salon and you’re essentially saying you don’t do nails, sir!! That experience should’ve been my last experience but we tried to go back this Saturday as a walk in and although it said “walk in welcome” and there was only 2 people in the shop he (same guy who I believe is the owner/manager) said he had no more appointments; sir it’s 3pm on Saturday?? I hope they understand that there’s an Asian nail salon on every block/shopping strip and not doing nails is essentially going to push them out of business. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back! And ask that others stay away too
Made an appointment for 4:30 and was told which pedicure chair to sit in. I sat for about 20 minutes without anyone saying a word to me, or looking in my general direction. Then a male tech comes over and starts filling the tub without saying anything. He tapped my foot to indicate I should put it in the water.
The massage felt great, the clean up of my nails felt rough though. He painted my nails, without toe wedges (which I noticed other customers had), and walked me to where I would get my manicure. When I washed my hands, I noticed that my toe nail polish had already smudged.
He didn't speak to me during the manicure either. The staff were all talking to each other in their native language and I noticed that all the other customers sat in silence as they were worked on.
Then he sat me by the dryers, without saying a word to me or telling me how long to sit there. So I sat in a corner, facing a wall, for 15 minutes before I grabbed my things and left.
All in all, not a very welcoming environment. I left with smudged toes and bubbled, uneven nails.
1st time visit & my last. I was shopping in the area & decided to stop for a manicure & pedicure. I read the sign on the door “Walk-ins Welcome”…not so. It was a mid-morning Saturday, 2 customers In the back having pedicures, the Rude man at front asked how can he help me, I asked for a Mani/Pedi, he then asked “did I have an appointment”? I replied No, the sign says “Walk-ins Welcome”, mind u I was prepared to wait a bit if I had too, he proceeds to advise me that his 1st appointment available is at 5:30pm. I agree with an earlier review by another client, I could definitely understand the “click-ish” ways. Nail salons, are dime a dzn, I’ll take my $$ elsewhere!
This is such an amazing nail salon. I get acrylics here all the time, and always love my nails. Kelly is my go to tech, but all of their nail techs are amazing and will have you leaving with a smile on your face and fabulous nails.
