Quick Facts About Elegant Nails
Elegant Nails Place has received a mix of positive and negative comments, providing insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the salon. To analyze these comments and understand the overall strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will categorize the comments into different areas of concern. Here is an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses based on the comments:
Strengths:
1. Quality work: One customer mentioned that the technician, Holly, did an amazing job on their pedicure, nails, and eyebrows. Another customer stated that they did a good job on eyebrows. These positive experiences indicate that the salon has employees who can deliver quality work in certain areas.
2. Friendly and attentive staff: A few customers appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. One customer specifically mentioned that the lady who did their nails was very attentive and kept checking if they were satisfied with the work. Friendly and attentive staff contribute to a positive customer experience.
3. Affordable pricing: One customer mentioned that a long acrylic set with gel polish cost them $45, which they found to be a reasonable price. This suggests that the salon offers competitive pricing for their services, making them affordable to customers.
Weaknesses:
1. Poor customer service: Multiple customers mentioned poor customer service experiences. One customer reported that a technician smacked their hand and made fun of their short nails. Another customer felt that there was a lack of customer service and proper communication during their visit. These experiences indicate a lack of professionalism and attentiveness from the staff.
2. Inconsistent pricing: A customer reported that the salon charged them an extra $5 on their card, and they noticed that the prices tend to vary each time they visit. Inconsistent pricing can cause customer dissatisfaction and may imply potential issues with transparency.
3. Lack of cleanliness and hygiene: One customer mentioned that they found hair in their polish, indicating a lack of cleanliness and attention to hygiene. Cleanliness is a crucial factor in a nail salon's reputation and can greatly impact the customer's perception of the establishment.
4. Poor attention to detail: Several customers expressed dissatisfaction with the attention to detail provided by the technicians. Complaints include uneven application of gel and top coat, lumpy and uneven acrylic surfaces, and the failure to clean dirt from underneath the nails. Inadequate attention to detail can detract from the overall quality and appearance of the nails.
5. Lack of proper techniques and training: A customer mentioned that their nails had no structure, facilitating breakage and causing injury. This suggests that the technicians may lack proper techniques and training in applying acrylic nails. Lack of training can lead to poor application and potential damage to the customer's natural nails.
6. Long wait times: One customer complained about the long wait times at the salon. Long wait times can inconvenience customers, potentially leading them to seek services elsewhere.
In conclusion, Elegant Nails Place has a mix of strengths and weaknesses. While they have received positive comments regarding quality work, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, they also face criticism for poor customer service, inconsistent pricing, lack of cleanliness, poor attention to detail, lack of proper techniques and training, and long wait times. Addressing these weaknesses and improving customer satisfaction can contribute to the overall success and reputation of the salon.

Worst nail experience I’ve ever had. Before this, I had a gel manicure from another salon that was stunning and beautiful only 2 weeks ago, so my nails looked nice and I’d kept my cuticles and nails very well hydrated in the meantime before I came into Elegant Nails today. It simply was time for another manicure since my nails had grown significantly. When I left Elegant Nails, my fingers were dry and cracked. The skin and cuticles on 7 of my fingers were bleeding, and 8 hours later as I’m writing this review, my fingers still HURT from the intense overuse of the electric nail file to remove the gel manicure. I have globs underneath my nails, and some color on the skin around my nails. This lady was rushing through everything and was even getting her glove stuck in the polish as she was working… I wish I never went in. My nails were beautiful before and somehow I paid $40 for trash nails that hurt. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Since I’ve seen so many horrible reviews and seen where a man has smacked another women’s hand, figured I’d share my story. I went in a few years back. I’m a mail biter and anyone that knows me knows that, Ik it’s a nasty habit and I’ve been trying to quit. I let my nails grow out and went in to get a manicure done before my wedding and a man was doing my nails and said “you nail short” I glanced up at him and just tried to ignore him. He then smacked my hand and said it louder to the point other people around me in the shop heard and that made me extremely embarrassed. That man was highly unprofessional and I would NEVER recommend someone to go get their nails done at this place. Unless you want bad service and to be made fun of and embarrassed in-front of a lot of people you don’t know, then don’t come!
I asked for my receipt glad I did because she had charged extra $5 on my card I had noticed every time I go it's always a different price so be careful if you pay with a card get a receipt no matter what you pay with be safe they ripping us off
I will never go back to this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and it was one of the worst pedicures I have ever had. I asked multiple times for them to trim my nails and the man kept saying he’s “done what he could do”. Then I asked for him to clean the dirt out from underneath the nails and he said that he “wasn’t able to”. I have never had such a problem getting a clean and beautiful pedicure when paying over $30 dollars.
Holly did my pedicure, nails and eyebrows. She was attentive and did an amazing job. My daughter had a great experience getting her pedicure and nails done. Looking for great service and quality work this is the place to go.
They’re good on eyebrows but the wait is way too long.
This needs to be shared because I’ve never been unhappy with a business before. I typically tolerate a lot of mistakes here and there because we are all human. But, I got a gel full set here, some things I could say were bothersome but they were “whatever” situations no big deal. Didn’t ask me what length I wanted or if the length they were cutting it was ok (typically I get asked that all the time even when a picture is shown for design reference), was very rough with the filing, the acrylic was wasted with huge beads being applied to the nail and then they didn’t remove a majority of the excess acrylic underneath the nail tip so I had lumps of hard acrylic under the nail extension that weren’t removed. This part is important, the nails had NO STRUCTURE, they were flat and very uneven. They had no apex to prevent lifting, natural nail and fake nail breakage, or have what happened to me days after I got the nails. My nails were sore from using them throughout the day and when I was doing something I hit my nail on a hard surface and it lifted my entire natural nail and caused some serious injury. If the nail had an apex and structure this could’ve been avoided as when proper acrylic nails are applied this way, the fake nail will break at the top of the apex instead of the natural nail (there are plenty of nail artists and nail technicians that will say how important the apex is). The apex creates a counter balance to force put onto the acrylic nail. The fact that this business has been open for 13 plus years and the acrylic nails aren’t done properly makes me even more upset. I was planning on cutting them because they were too long and I should’ve just spoken up about the length, that is my fault. I called it that my nails were going to break in this way because of the lack of structure (told my husband about that concern because I watch so many nail videos and have gotten my nails done a lot) and I should’ve just listened to my observed knowledge. There was a lack of customer service, properly updated techniques and training, infuriates me and I want anyone reviewing this to think twice. Overall the nails were cute, aside from them being horribly done. There was hair in the polish they didn’t remove, uneven application of gel and top coat, no structure, lumpy and uneven acrylic surface pre gel application. The nails were not worth the price they were valued at, especially with no real nail art done. Please don’t go here to save your nail beds and natural nails from pain.
They were very nice and friendly, I will definitely come back soon. I got long acrylics with gel polish and it was only 45. The place is clean and the lady I got did a very good job and kept making sure I liked them as she was doing them.
