Quick Facts About Empire Nails & Spa
Empire Nails & Spa has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, it appears that the salon is relatively busy, indicating that it may have a decent customer base. Additionally, some customers have praised certain employees for providing gentle and quality service. These positive experiences may suggest that there are competent and skilled staff members at the salon.
However, there are numerous weaknesses that are worth considering. First, multiple customers complained about the cleanliness of the salon. Nail clippings from a previous client were found on the floor, which is unhygienic and unsanitary. Furthermore, one customer observed that the tools did not seem to be properly cleaned, raising concerns about the salon's adherence to basic sanitary practices. The cluttered and disorganized appearance of the salon, with boxes and items scattered around, further supports this notion.
Another significant weakness is related to the service quality. Numerous customers expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of their manicures and pedicures. Comments included complaints about manicures that were messy, with the technician painting onto the cuticles and not fully cleaning the nails. Inconsistent and uneven paint jobs were also reported, with some customers noticing flaws in the paint job only after they had left the salon. Additionally, some customers mentioned that their nails were not even properly filed or shaped. These repeated complaints about poor service quality highlight a lack of attention to detail and a general lack of skill among some of the salon's technicians.
Another weakness mentioned is the rushed nature of the services provided. Some customers felt that their services were rushed, resulting in subpar outcomes. This rushed approach led to pedicures being incomplete, with no massage provided and poor application of lotion. Rushed nail services often result in inadequate nail preparation, application, and finishing, ultimately leading to less satisfactory results for customers.
A common concern among customers was the pricing and the lack of transparency related to it. Customers reported discrepancies between the prices they were initially quoted and the higher amounts they were charged upon checkout. This suggests a lack of clarity and consistency in the pricing policies of the salon. In one instance, a customer was charged additional fees for a service (French tips) that the technician struggled to perform, which was frustrating for the customer.
A final weakness highlighted in the comments is the poor customer service. Some customers felt that their concerns were not taken seriously or addressed properly. In one instance, a customer complained about a color choice made by the technician, and the manager was dismissive and argumentative instead of providing a satisfactory solution. This lack of accountability and understanding can lead to dissatisfied customers and a negative reputation for the salon.
In conclusion, Empire Nails & Spa has several weaknesses that overshadow its strengths. Inadequate cleanliness, poor service quality, rushed services, unclear pricing policies, and subpar customer service were consistently mentioned in the comments provided. These weaknesses indicate the need for significant improvements in order to provide a better experience for customers and establish a positive reputation in the industry.

The gentleman who provided my manicure and pedicure services was fast and sloppy. The salon was not very clean but it was relatively busy so I gave them a shot, thinking that that was a good sign. I chose a regular spa pedicure and callus treatment. I noticed (a little too late, unfortunately) that the gentleman put the callus remover ON THE FLOOR in between uses. I should have just left after that but I felt compelled to follow through with the services that I'd asked for.
When I moved myself to his desk for the manicure, I noticed that there were nail clippings from a previous client on the floor under his desk, which is very unsanitary. In addition, the manicure was very bad. He painted onto my cuticles (so I have no doubt that it will be coming off within a week), he did a very sloppy job cleaning my nails up, some of my nails are not even painted fully. I regret continuing with my services after walking g jn. I still paid for services and tipped the gentlemen but I will absolutely not go back and do not recommend them to anyone. The cherry on top of my bad experience is that somehow, my fingernails and toe nails do not match, nor are they even close, in color, despite them coming from the same box.
Omg! This place is the absolute worst. The guy that did my pedicure was extremely rough & did a rush job. Even though I declined the free drink that goes with my pedicure, he kept trying to pure pressure me to get one because it was free. He didnt put no lotion on my feet after he polish them. When I walked out, I still had the sugar scrub on the back of my legs. Then on top of that they only accept cash or cash app which is very weird. This place needs to be shut down, get better employees & needs a very deep cleaning. From looking around, it doesn’t look like they properly cleaned their tools. The employees dress like they just roll out of bed. Don’t waste your time like I did!
Guy I had did both my full set and my pedicure. Rushed through both of them. He did not do a full pedicure service, only clipped and painted my nails and then rubbed in some lotion. No massage. With my full set, I told him that a few nails were crooked. He told me that he’ll fix it. I waited until after he buffed it and he still left two fingers crooked. I told him again that these two fingers were crooked and he fixed one of them and then proceeded to say that my finger was crooked, so the nail would be crooked too. Smh. He also kept changing the price on me several times. He came off rude and standoffish. The place was small, so there was boxes and other stuff cluttered everywhere. I am not returning.
This was not a good experience at all. Ive gone before and service was fine but once I got home today and put on lotion and to take pictures I saw the flaws in the paint job. Now I did look before I left but its not until the paint settled that I noticed it became chalky and uneven around the edges. The other toe wasn't even fully painted again didnt see until I flashed the light on it. Definitely not the best job! Good thing I can clean it up myself.
I Came here early in the morning as soon as they opened and it was about 3 customers already there. I asked for 2 pedicures and was immediately sat down at the chairs. A man started on my pedicure first and then a women started on my boyfriends 10 minutes later. Somehow his pedicure ended before mines which is how I knew they were rushing. Niether one of the people doing our pedicures said nothing unless they were trying to upsell something for example when i was asked do I want gel polish and it will only be $5 extra I said yes. The man was struggling to even do the French tips and had to correct his mistakes many times because he thought he was gonna do a rush job and I would be satisfied and I could tell he was getting irritated because at the end he said "I'm done with you." When I get to the register the total was $134 I asked can I see a receipt because the pedicures we picked was only $57 each . Aparently gel was actually $15 extra then $5 extra because I wanted French tips. I would understand if charging extra for something he knew how to do but charging extra for French tips while he was struggling to do it was insane. It toke him longer to do the French tips than the actual pedicures! So if you want to be scammed and blind sided by magical prices they come up with this is the place for you!
I am completely in love with this place. Today was the first time I've ever visited and I am extremely impressed. A young man did my pedicure and a woman named Sarah did my fill in. They were both gentle and gave me quality service. I have never felt this way about a nail salon and if I could give this place more stars, I would
Changed my 4 star rating to a 1. Just wanted 1 nail repaired and a fil in for the rest. Told the lady 6 times the color she chose didn't look right, pointed out what i thought to be the color and she still chose hers. When almost done, i showed her the original nail color looked 2 tone on 1 finger, she said she will fix it. She changed the whole nail to her choice color instead of making it back to the color i wanted, and i still can see the original color at the end. I told the manager bc i was distraught, and he was just making excuses for her and took $5 off for my 1 nail. I can't speak for everyone that works there on quality, but if the manager takes more time to argue with me when i complained about the color in the beginning and through the whole process than fixing the problem, I'd rather go across town 45 minutes away to a place that will treat me like a person and actually listen. I do not recommend.
Don’t waste your hard earn money.
Horrible customer service. No skills. My nails looked totally different on each hand. The inability to recognize the mistake once brought to their attention was the last straw for me. Bumpy uneven nails and they said they saw nothing wrong with them. A nail popped off before the day even finished. $30 for a fill in that results in a broken nail the day of? Never again.
