Quick Facts About Fresh Cafe
Fresh Cafe has received a mixture of positive and negative comments, suggesting that it has both strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme in the comments is the friendly and welcoming staff. Customers appreciate the warm welcome and service with a smile, with one comment mentioning how the staff made them feel like old friends. This highlights the positive customer service experience at Fresh Cafe, which can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. In addition, the staff are commended for being great with dogs, as they provided sausages to entertain the chihuahuas. This demonstrates that Fresh Cafe is dog-friendly, which can attract pet owners and create a welcoming atmosphere.
The cafe's interior is another strength mentioned in the comments. Words such as "lovely" and "amazing" are used to describe the atmosphere and ambiance inside the cafe. This suggests that Fresh Cafe has a pleasant and comfortable environment, which can contribute to an enjoyable dining experience. Furthermore, the homemade products are praised for being fresh and high quality, indicating that Fresh Cafe prioritizes using fresh ingredients in their dishes and provides homemade options.
Another strength mentioned in the comments is the extensive menu. Customers appreciate the wide variety of options available, even mentioning that it is difficult to choose from the menu. This shows that Fresh Cafe caters to different preferences and dietary restrictions, including vegetarians. Having a diverse menu can attract a larger customer base and accommodate different tastes and preferences.
Moving on to the weaknesses, there are a few negative comments that highlight some areas in which Fresh Cafe could improve. One comment mentions the poor quality sausages in the breakfast, specifically noting bits of bone and gristle. This suggests that the quality control of ingredients used in certain dishes could be improved to maintain consistent quality throughout the menu. Additionally, the comment suggests that there could be better value for money if there was an option to swap breakfast items, indicating that some customers may feel limited by the fixed options.
Another negative experience mentioned in the comments is regarding the treatment of customers by the staff. One customer shares an incident in which they were denied access to the toilet despite intending to make a purchase. The customer felt that the staff were rude and disrespectful towards them, leading to their decision to leave and go elsewhere. Another comment highlights a similar issue, with a family feeling embarrassed and unwelcome due to the staff's behavior towards their children. These incidents suggest that there may be a lack of professionalism and customer-oriented approach in handling certain situations at Fresh Cafe.
In conclusion, Fresh Cafe has strengths in terms of its friendly staff, pleasant ambiance, homemade products, and extensive menu. However, there are weaknesses indicated by negative incidents involving poor treatment of customers and inconsistent food quality. By addressing these weaknesses and focusing on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high food quality standards, Fresh Cafe can enhance the overall dining experience and attract a wider customer base.

Really lovely cafe pay and display parking right outside. The cafe inside is lovely. The staff are great and the menu has so much stuff on it that it’s hard to choose (and that’s coming from a vegetarian!). It’s very dog friendly and our two chihuahuas got a cut up sausage to keep them entertained while I had a lovely mini afternoon tea (I could chose any sandwich from the menu) and my mum had a panini.
This was one of the loveliest places I have been to. Amazing, genuine warm welcome and service with a smile xx we had just come from a funeral and the kindness in this establishment lifted us for our journey home. A true gold mine in Lytham St Anne’s The home made products were so fresh and high quality.
Very friendly service & good coffee. Food - mostly ok, unfortunately very poor quality sausages, bits of bone & gristle not really what you'd expect from £8.50 breakfast. Also would be better value if you could swap breakfast items.
Had afternoon tea with my sister, was lovely. What amazing scones!!
The guy that served us was friendly, an asset to say the least!
Highly recommend.
Such a friendly welcome on our trip home from Scotland…all the staff made us feel like old friends and we felt uplifted after a delicious meal. Well done, and thank you .
This has long been one of my favourite cafes in St.annes so it's a shame to say this but I had a bad experience with rude staff here today that has put me off ever returning. I wanted to have lunch here today but there were no tables free so I decided I would get something to take out instead and use the toilet. They would not let me use the toilet even though I said I was going to get some food to take out. The staff were very rude in their attitude towards me and said I could not use the toilet. I walked out and went elsewhere. As I was walking out another member of staff shouted at me that there was a note on the door explaining that the toilets are customers only. I had intended on being a customer!!! So disappointed and upset at how I was spoken to. Appalling.
My family of 14 visited the cafe on Friday morning for breakfast. One of our children (age 4) had some food on the table off his plate and the manager came up, picked up his food with her hands and placed it back on his plate exclaiming “you can’t do that, it’s just manners”.
We were shocked at how rude this was, and unhygienic for her to put her hands on his food but we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt as we know people have bad days HOWEVER, we return with a smaller party of our family again for breakfast this morning (Saturday).
My wife was feeding our 14 week old and our other two children (7 and 4 years) were sitting on the floor at the table playing quietly between themselves with their toy as we waited for our food to arrive. This same woman came up and shouted at them to “get up off the floor, people are trying to have their breakfast!” - the entire place could hear everything and we were again shocked and embarrassed. We decided this is not family-friendly so said we would leave and she went on to say we couldn’t.
When we went to walk out she told our 4 year old to put down his half finished apple juice because he hadn’t paid for it…
Absolutely shocking. Made us feel embarrassed and unwelcome. Would have understood if our children were running around and being noisy. She could have just asked us (the parents) to place our children on the seats - she had no right to shout at them, least of all for many other spectators to witness.
Also, we had been waiting a while for our food also so it’s to be expected that the children would get bored and want to play with their toys anyway.
Considering we spent as much on Friday despite her bad attitude, and to return again to give the benefit of the doubt, I found her to be unwelcoming and rude.
Do not recommend for families looking for a friendly smile and good service, I’m afraid!
Sarah, Adele and Connor were simply amazing. The food was perfect as was the service. A delightful breakfast experience. See you soon. Thanks so much.
