Quick Facts About Harbour Cafe

The Harbour Cafe has garnered generally positive feedback from customers. The strengths of the Café include its picturesque location, delicious fish and chips, friendly staff, and affordability. However, there are a few weaknesses that should be addressed, such as issues with moldy bread and the potential presence of seagulls that may steal food if left unattended.
The Café's location is one of its greatest strengths, with customers mentioning its proximity to the beach and its convenience. Being situated right on the beach is convenient for those who do not want to walk back to town just for fish and chips. This location also adds to the charm, making it a nice getaway from touristy areas. Customers appreciate the beautiful setting and the opportunity to enjoy the meal in such scenic surroundings.
The quality of the fish and chips served at the Café is consistently praised by customers. Many describe the fish as crispy and fresh, while also mentioning the delicious chips that are available. The ability to add salt and vinegar according to one's taste is also appreciated. Furthermore, customers find the price of £8 to be reasonable, as it includes a filling meal that leaves them full and satisfied.
Another strength of the Harbour Café is its friendly and helpful staff. Customers mention that the bedienungen (servers) are nice and friendly, making the dining experience pleasant. The owner is especially commended for taking the time to chat with customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere. This level of customer service contributes to the overall positive experience at the Café.
Affordability is another strength of the Harbour Café. Several customers mention that the prices of the food and drinks are reasonable, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious individuals or families. This aligns with the positive comments regarding the generous portion sizes and the feeling of being full and satisfied after the meal.
While there are many strengths to highlight, there are a couple of weaknesses that the Harbour Café should address. One customer complained of receiving a hot dog with mouldy bread. This is a serious issue that should be rectified immediately, as it can greatly impact the reputation and cleanliness of the café. Another customer mentioned the need to be cautious of seagulls, as they may steal unattended food. While this issue may be difficult to control, the café could consider implementing measures, such as covering or securing food when not being consumed, to prevent this problem.
In conclusion, the Harbour Café has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. The stunning location, delicious fish and chips, friendly staff, and reasonable prices all make it an attractive choice for customers. However, the café should address the issue of serving mouldy bread and consider strategies to minimize the potential for seagulls to disturb customers' dining experiences. Overall, the positive aspects of the café outweigh the weaknesses, and it continues to be a recommended spot for visitors and locals alike.

Nette Bedienungen.
Schöne Lage. Fish and chips waren gut.
Freundliche Bedienung. Achtung: auf diebische Möven achten. Essenstisch mit Essen NICHT verlassen. Gilt für ganz St. Andrews.
Went for lunch with the family. Ordered a hot dog and the bread was mouldy (see pictures).
The location is great, service was okay, it could be so much nicer... They need to be careful not to sell off bread cakes!
Conveniently placed right on the beach, we didn't want to walk back to town just to get some fish and chips. We hesitated a bit because it looks a bit shabby, but it was one of the best f&c I ever had - crispy, fresh, the chips were crispy and you can add salt and vinegar to your taste. £8 was a great price, we were full and happy. Staff was kind and friendly.

What a gem of a place! We stumbled upon here on New Years Day 2020. After a play on the beach the 8 of us were so glad to see the shop open. Not to mention the amazing Fire Pit outside.
Loads to pick from. Food and drinks lovely and staff really friendly and helpful. Particularly the owner who stopped for a chat.
