Quick Facts About Hollywood Nails
Hollywood Nails has its fair share of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let us analyze them to get a clearer picture.
Starting with the strengths, it seems that some customers have had positive experiences at Hollywood Nails. One comment mentions an "awesome job" done on acrylic nails during the customer's first visit. This implies that the establishment may have skilled technicians who can deliver satisfactory results for certain services. The positive experience also encourages the customer to return for future nail services, suggesting that Hollywood Nails may have potential for customer loyalty and repeat business.
Moving on to the weaknesses, many customers express dissatisfaction with their experiences at Hollywood Nails. One recurring complaint is the lack of attention to detail and rushed service. Customers have mentioned instances where technicians skipped steps or rushed through the nail service, resulting in poor quality work. For example, one customer mentions receiving only one coat of polish on their toes during a pedicure, leading to easily chipped nails. Another customer complains about the technician not trimming their nails or cuticles properly during a gel pedicure. These comments suggest that Hollywood Nails may have issues with consistency and attention to detail among its technicians, leading to subpar outcomes for customers.
Sanitation and cleanliness are other weaknesses highlighted in the comments. Multiple customers mention observing unclean conditions, such as nail clippings from previous customers on the floor and unsanitary tools. One customer describes a particularly alarming incident where a technician picked up a tool from the floor without sanitizing it before using it on their toes. These instances raise concerns about the salon's adherence to hygiene and potential risks of infection or cross-contamination. Improving cleanliness practices and maintaining a strict sanitation routine should be a priority for Hollywood Nails.
Customer service is another area where Hollywood Nails seems to fall short. Several customers mention a lack of customer service or non-existent staff assistance when issues arise. One customer shared an incident where they confronted the technician about unclean tools, but received no apology or explanation. The absence of a satisfactory resolution or acknowledgment of the problem may have contributed to customer dissatisfaction and a negative overall experience. Hollywood Nails should prioritize training its employees to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
Moreover, a significant weakness highlighted by multiple customers is the pain and discomfort experienced during treatments. One customer describes being hurt during the filing process of their gel manicure, while another mentions bleeding cuticles caused by improper use of a nail tool. It is essential for Hollywood Nails to prioritize customer comfort and prioritize techniques that minimize pain and risk of injury during treatments. This may involve providing more thorough training and supervision to ensure the well-being of customers.
Lastly, pricing and value for money appear to be weaknesses for Hollywood Nails. Multiple customers express dissatisfaction with the quality of the services they received, considering the amount of money they paid. One customer mentions having paid almost $200 for a set of nails and pedicure that resulted in poor quality and dissatisfaction. This implies that Hollywood Nails may need to reassess its pricing strategy and ensure that the quality of service matches the price customers pay. Customers should feel that they are receiving value for their money and be satisfied with the outcomes of their treatments.
In conclusion, Hollywood Nails possesses strengths such as skilled technicians and the potential for customer loyalty. However, it also has several weaknesses, including poor attention to detail, cleanliness issues, subpar customer service, discomfort during treatments, and a lack of value for the money paid. It is crucial for Hollywood Nails to address these weaknesses by improving training, sanitation practices, customer service, and pricing strategy to ensure a positive customer experience.

No. No. No. Gel manicure was a complete waste of time and money. From the moment I walked in, I should have known better. I had just sat down at the assigned station and didn't even have the chance to pull my chair in before my tech pulled my hand and started to file my nails. I asked for a moment to allow me time to choose a color. Was given the time but was clearly rushed. After filing my nails, the tech started to prep to polish... having missed filing one nail entirely. Once that was addressed, he painted one hand while trying to touch up over-polish on my skin as he worked. After only 1 coat of polish, he started to apply a clear finish coat without doing a second coat of polish for a thorough, rich job. I asked if he intended to do a second coat and he said no... but did offer it if I wanted. What I wanted was to get out of there. So we skipped the second coat. When I looked at the polish, it was on my fingers, cuticles... what a mess. I raised my concern and asked if he was going to fix it. So he did try to clean up by filing my skin. It hurt... I flinched and then was done. I'd had enough. I'm left with polish on my fingers and incomplete polish on my nails. Disappointing.
On a trip to Gettysburg with a friend we decided to get pedicures. Hollywood Nails was right across the street from our hotel so we thought we would give it a try. We should have listened to the reviews! I had cut my toe nails before going on our trip so they shouldn’t have been cut to begin with. He never asked me and then cut the corners down really low and yanked it out! I jumped on the first one (not as bad) and thought he had made a mistake. I was talking to my friend next to me and should have been paying more attention. Then he did it again on the second foot and it is way worse! It wouldn’t stop bleeding! Then he only used one coat of polish on all my toes. Worst pedicure ever!!!
Please explain how this is a pedicure? && mind you he only lotioned my legs.. didn’t take any skin off of my feet anything! Worst experience. Do not recommend
The facility is dirty and the work is poor. Nail clippings from previous customers on floor, massage chair controllers do not work properly. They filled my pedicure bowl with a bucket. Customer service is non existent. There are far better places to go for the same money.
AVOID!!! Do not go here! I sat down in the pedicure chair and noticed the client next to me had a fungal infection. I didn’t think anything of it because it wasn’t my toes until the maybe 15 year old doing my pedicure picked up a tool OFF THE FLOOR without sanitizing it from the last client and turned it on to use on my toes. Before he could begin his phone went off any he took it out of his pocket and answered his text message. While he did that I pulled my feet out of the tub, dried my feet, questions the floor tools (never got an apology or explanation) and walked out, right past who I am assuming is the owner, the only adult employee present. I have been in the salon industry for 15 years and I cannot believe the utter lack of sanitation and complete disregard for their clients. Go elsewhere!!
I went in for a gel mani and gel pedi. My pedi was 15 minutes from start to finish. He did not trim my nails or cuticles. The polish is very thin and see through. The massage was very short. My gel mani looks awful. The polish was not cured long enough. Three of my fingers peeled off with wet polish underneath. Did not soak my fingers at all. He made my cuticle bleed with the dremel. He never had me wash off the dust. He polished over top of it. The colors I chose did not match the colors he used. Highly disappointed. Will not return. Wasted 80$. Environment is dirty and unsanitary.
First visit, awesome job with my acrylic nails! Definitely will return to get my nails done and also try a pedicure!
I brought my daughter here to have our nails done and I also got a pedicure. The next day my polish on my pinky toe came off, the following day my middle toe. My thumb and pinky nail came off three days after having the new set put on. I’m am very upset. My daughter asked for almond shape nails and showed the length but the lady cut them too short and then ripped them all off to put another set on which she cut short once again but my daughter didn’t want the pain of having the nails ripped off again so she had to have them short. The shape wasn’t what she wanted either. It’s a shame that I paid almost $200 for this terrible quality. I will NOT go here again!
