Quick Facts About Iman Restaurant and Takeaway
Iman Restaurant and Takeaway has received mixed reviews from customers, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, many customers have praised Iman Restaurant and Takeaway as the best Pakistani food place in town. This suggests that the food quality and taste are exceptional, catering to the preferences of Pakistani cuisine enthusiasts. The mention of dishes such as Karahi gosht, Brain masala, and Fried Fish being tasty further confirms the restaurant's culinary expertise. Complimentary desserts add a nice touch and enhance the overall dining experience. Good service has also been highlighted by a few customers, suggesting that the staff is attentive and provides a satisfactory level of customer service. Additionally, many customers appreciate the reasonable pricing, making Iman Restaurant and Takeaway an affordable option for enjoying authentic Pakistani cuisine.
However, there are some weaknesses that have been mentioned by customers. One customer had a negative experience with cold food, specifically mentioning that the mixed grill was served cold. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in the temperature of the dishes. Another customer expressed disappointment with the taste of the chana, suggesting that it lacked flavor. While this may be subjective, it is important for the restaurant to ensure consistent quality in their dishes. Another weakness that has been pointed out is the need for improvement in the toilets and staff training. Customers expect a certain level of cleanliness and professionalism, and addressing these areas for improvement can enhance the overall dining experience. One customer mentioned that parking is a big issue nearby, which can be a drawback for potential customers who are concerned about accessibility.
In terms of ambiance, the decor has received mixed reviews. Some customers find it dated and unsettling, particularly mentioning the presence of stuffed birds and unimpressive bamboo cladding. This suggests that a renovation or update to the decor might be beneficial to create a more pleasant dining atmosphere. However, there are also customers who have been dining at Iman Restaurant and Takeaway for a couple of years and have never had any issues with the food. This suggests that while the decor may not be impressive, it does not significantly impact the dining experience for some customers.
One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the service, stating that the staff hardly knew English and did not provide recommendations for children. This suggests a language barrier and a lack of knowledge about the menu options. The same customer also mentioned poor food quality and taste, emphasizing a preference for the curry sauce rather than an oil-heavy dish. It is important for the restaurant to address these concerns and ensure that the staff is adequately trained and can communicate effectively with customers.
Lastly, one customer raised concerns about the staff composition, expressing a preference for having at least one Muslim staff member to maintain the halal food quality. This indicates that the customer feels the absence of a Muslim staff member might affect the adherence to halal standards. It is important for the restaurant to address these concerns and ensure that the staff is aware of and adheres to the halal requirements.
In conclusion, while Iman Restaurant and Takeaway has been praised for its tasty food, reasonable prices, and good service, there are areas that need improvement. These include addressing issues with cold food, lack of taste in certain dishes, cleanliness of the toilets, staff training, parking availability, and potentially updating the decor. Additionally, customer concerns regarding language barriers, food quality, and the composition of the staff should be addressed to enhance the overall dining experience.

Best Pakistani food place in town.
Good service.
Tasty food.
Reasonably priced.
We have been there many times. All the dishes are tasty; Karahi gosht, Brain masala, Fried Fish etc. We also got complimentary desserts.
Highly recommended ????
They served cold starter, the plate was sizzling but mixed grill was cold. Then check pictures of there signature dish lamb korma. Don't waste your time and money here.
Food was good but didn't really like the chana no taste at all, probably this is how it is but expected something different rest was fine.
Food taste is good. According to the price service expectation should be standard level. No complaints just need to workout improvement on toilets and staff training for continuous professional development. Parking is a big issue nearby which is nothing to deal with the restaurant.
They arranged several group bookings the night we visited. Our group was the biggest at 18. As you can imagine with so many large groups the food came out slow. But worth the wait and the service once the food was out was super quick.
The décor needs to be redone as it was unsettling looking at so many stuffed birds and the bamboo cladding was not impressive. It all looked too much like it was done by villagers in the village.
Price is very reasonable.
The decor is a bit dated! I’ve been eating here for couple years now and the food has always been perfect!! The Nihari is 10/10 and the channa (if fresh) 10/10 as well! Never had any issues!! Great staff and its not expensive at all!!
The service was rubbish. The staff members hardly knew English neither recommended good food for children. Poor service and missed out certain items on our orders. Rubbish food quality and taste and customer service absolute nightmare. Also, this is not a Pakistani restaurant of Pakistani food, it's more like Indian Sri Lankan and they put so much oil rather than having the sauce of the curry, it's horrible to fill your mouth with oil!
I am using since this restaurant opened and having good taste n service as well but last weeks i just noticed all the staff is not that which was before, it is halal restaurant and staff should have at least one muslim man who can keep check n balance on food quality
But in two weeks i visited couple of times for takeaway and din in but unfortunately today i saw all the staff is Hindu and sikh society working inside the kitchen i just saw from reception back door open into kitchen
, there is no single man inside which is that which consider to serve us
