So glad I found someone who is great at what they do! She's super cool, fast with the twisting, talented, and takes pride in her work. I will definitely be back. I think I found a stylist I can be loyal to. Can't wait to go back for the style I want????????. Yes it was a wait but it took little to no time for me to feel at home. Such good energy and good hair work
I booked an appointment for 9AM to get a re-twist and style before going on vacation. On the day of my appointment I received a text 5 minutes before my appointment time from the stylist saying she overslept and would need to push my appointment to 11AM. Now keep in mind I was already at the shop awaiting my appointment. I had a lot to do this day so this was a major inconvenience to my plans, however I understand things happen so I decided to accept the time change even though she didn't seem very apologetic. I then get an update via text again that she wouldn't be able to make it to the shop until 1PM, okay fine, I can fill in the time gap with other priorities. I get to the shop at 1:15PM because I wanted to give her some leeway time to get into the shop and she's telling me she on her way. She doesn't show up until 2PM, completely disheveled and again not very apologetic for all the time that was wasted on her behalf. She didn't offer any discount or compensation for the inconveniences which is fine, but solidified to me that this is not a customer based business that I would come back to.
The shop itself clearly needs some work; it lacks in appearance, cleanliness and professionalism. Her work station was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. This is a major drawback for me because to me how your work station looks is a reflection of you.
Now I will say this, she did a great job on my hair, thorough wash and deep condition, my re-twist was nice, she reattached a loc and restarted my back row of locs with the interlock method. She has plenty of experience and is passionate about her craft so that's always a plus. Unfortunately my style was not my favorite, but I accepted it because it was already 6:30 and I needed to leave asap.
Overall, if you're looking for a local shop that is reasonably priced then this location is your perfect; $60 is great for the work provided. However, if you're looking for a shop with professionalism and class consider looking elsewhere.
I’m gonna be honest DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! She on something!! Couldn’t even stay awake to do my hair cause she kept falling asleep. Didn’t part my hair after 3 days I just took my hair out because it didn’t look good at all. Got there at 10am she didn’t show up till 11am I didn’t leave till 4pm just very unprofessional. Please don’t waste your time and money.
I was completely lost on what it took for locs. Honestly I thought I had it all figured out and I was mistaken. She educated me before anything so I could understand the journey I was about to take. Extremely professional and punctuality is superb. She can do whatever you want! Just make sure to schedule in advance because she is very busy and her work proves it. Prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and the shop is clean! A++ go see her now!
Very professional, great customer service, knowledgeable stylist and the best at what she does. Very gifted hands. Great experience overall. When I came to her my Locs we’re damaged and dry. From the moment I sat in her chair my hair and scalp has improved. Healthy hair is must for me & she definitely make sure your hair is healthy and gorgeous. Thank you so much.
I've been to her twice both times late getting started. But forgiven because she's good. When you make an appointment be prepared to sit back and just relax. Thank you Jewlz, great job! I would have given five stars but both times really started late.
This will be our third time going to Jewls and she never disappoints. My son is 8 and just starting the dreading process (with her) and she was excellent working with him, making him feel comfortable and doing a superb job. My son was happy, as were we, with a job well done! She is super friendly and gives great pointers on the upkeep and what additives help it grow and stop from itching, I mean she really knows her stuff!! She definitely earns and deserves her 5 stars because she caters to every client and her personality and work (ethic) keeps you coming back! You can tell she loves what she does by the work she puts out! Definitely glad we started and will continue our journey with her!
