In summary, Levels Barbershop has several strengths, including skilled barbers who provide excellent haircuts, a welcoming environment that is respectful to all customers, and positive reviews from satisfied customers. However, there are weaknesses to address, such as inconsistencies in pricing, poor customer service, and a lack of communication regarding wait times. Got a haircut by Natalie and she did a really good job. She fixed my hairline after weeks of struggling to find a good barber. Definitely one of the best in Brooklyn. Thanks!
Went there today and one of the barbers. (Didn’t get his name) his chair is al the way at the back. Being a foreigner I was surprised at the cost of the haircut (70 USD -and though the wall says 40 USD). As I wanted to find out more he proceeds to show me how booked his schedule is and if I am not happy I can leave ...huh? ) he is Tall and kind of light skin. The worst customer service ever. Full of himself and no customer service skills whatsoever. If you don’t stay away from the place at least stay away from him. Talent and being haughty is a really bad mix.
Very average trim, the barber - Q - also charged me 40usd for the cut even though it says 30usd on the wall.
Overall you can probably get a much better Haircut for a similar price elsewhere
Brought in my seven year-old and five year-old on a Saturday morning. The five year-old went to Will’s chair, and we asked Will for a mid skin fade. The seven year-old went to Dame’s chair, and we asked Dame for a high skin fade. I don’t know what gentle magic Will and Dame used, but the boys were relaxed and patient throughout the entirety of their cuts. Both Will and Dame were exacting in their precision and attention to detail. The boys came out of the chairs looking like movie stars. I got to see Lionel’s work while I was there, and he does really great work as well.
The only thing I’d do different next time is book an appointment in advance. There’s a reason the barbers at Levels are booked up for most of the weekend.
First time going there and I can say I was treated with respect and it was a walk-in also Q was the one who did my buzz fade and line up, it was fresh. Not much people can mark my hair out but he did impress me def going back anytime am in Brooklyn again ????
Very disappointed, I’ve been taking my son to levels Harlem location since he’s 2 years old. Just so happen to be in Brooklyn today and wanted to get him a cut for back to school. Wanted to stick to the same company because levels has nothing but talented barbers, so I came to the Brooklyn location for the first time and left upset. I sat for over 2 hours waiting for service and watched every barber continuously take people that came in after me. Not once did one of the barbers say I know you’ve been sitting here patiently waiting and sorry for the wait but there is such and such people ahead of you and I will be with you.I’m a very understanding person and good communication goes a long way with a customer. It was extremely unprofessional to treat someone that way. I wasn’t there for a free cut I was paying for my service. I eventually walked out with no services. I never expected to experience something like that at levels no matter where the location is there is a level of professionalism that should always be carried in a place of business and that was not professional at all.
I went to Levels at a suggestion of my girlfriend who sons get there hair cut there. I was a little apprehensive since COVID is priority in my household. She said ask for WIll the barber, in which I did. Let me tell you, I have 2 boys + Dad; all of them 'LOVED' their cuts. He was clean and professional. I appreciated also the 'MAN TALK' you had. I don't live in NY, but when I return I am coming back. I am a stylist in the 'A' at T. Perry Studios and I respect your fade game, Brother.
My son has been going here since a little boy. It's clean and the Barbers are respectful. A single mom can bring her son here and feel welcomed. Great customer service and there is plenty of seating and it's kept clean.
