Quick Facts About Lovely Nails
Lovely Nails Place is a nail salon located in Scranton. Based on the comments provided, this analysis will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the salon.
One of the strengths highlighted in the comments is the friendly and caring attitude of the staff. Customers appreciate the personalized service and the fact that the staff knows them by name, rather than treating them as just another customer. This suggests that the salon has a strong focus on building relationships with its clientele, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
Another strength mentioned by some customers is the skill and expertise of certain nail technicians, such as Vivian. These customers specifically praised the quality of her manicures, eyebrows, and other services. This indicates that the salon has skilled technicians who are capable of delivering satisfactory results to their customers.
Additionally, some customers appreciate the flexibility in scheduling appointments at Lovely Nails Place. They find it easy to work their work schedule around the availability of the salon, suggesting that the salon is accommodating and caters to the needs of its customers.
However, several weaknesses were also identified in the comments. One recurring complaint was the quality of the nail services provided. Some customers reported issues with misshapen and lumpy nails, peeling acrylic, and uneven polish. These issues suggest a lack of attention to detail and poor execution of services. Such experiences can lead to dissatisfaction and embarrassment for customers, as one individual expressed.
Another weakness mentioned is the poor handling of customer complaints or issues. In some cases, when customers expressed their dissatisfaction, the response from the salon's staff was dismissive or unhelpful. This lack of accountability and failure to rectify the customers' concerns can result in a negative perception of the salon's customer service.
In addition, there were reports of inappropriate behavior from some technicians. One customer mentioned that a technician laughed and judged another customer for wanting their nails painted. This unprofessional behavior can create a hostile and uncomfortable environment for customers, potentially driving them away.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the inconsistency in service quality. Some customers mentioned that their experience at Lovely Nails Place was hit or miss, indicating variability in the skills and performance of different technicians. This lack of consistency may make it challenging for customers to trust that they will consistently receive satisfactory results.
Furthermore, there were complaints about the use of metal scrapers during the acrylic nail removal process, which resulted in damaged nails. This suggests a lack of proper training or adherence to industry best practices, which can negatively impact the salon's reputation and customer satisfaction.
Finally, one commenter noted that the salon does not push back cuticles, potentially leading to shorter-lasting nail services. This practice implies that the salon prioritizes frequent return visits for fills rather than focusing on the longevity of customers' nail enhancements.
In conclusion, Lovely Nails Place has several strengths, including a friendly and caring staff, flexible scheduling, and skilled technicians like Vivian. However, the weaknesses identified, such as inconsistent service quality, poor handling of complaints, and inappropriate behavior, indicate areas for improvement. Additionally, issues with nail service execution and improper practices during acrylic nail removal can negatively impact customer satisfaction and the salon's reputation. Overall, the salon would benefit from addressing these weaknesses to enhance the customer experience and build a stronger reputation in the industry.

Vivian and her coworkers are great. Doing a spa day for myself, pedi and nails. Always a great job easy to work my work schedule and very caring. They know who you are when you call your not just a number. Super happy here ????
I went on Saturday with my friend I got a full set. Before even leaving the salon, I had to tell the lady that the nails were mis-shaped and lumpy. Also the acrylic was peeling off and there was polish and residue left all over my hands. She quickly said she would “fix” it and slapped more polish over were the acrylic was missing. Two days later I called and told them that many of my nails the polish was already peeling off, most likely because she had used about 5 coats and didn’t leave them dry properly. When I arrived she stated she was tired and only removed the polish from the nails were is was missing and replaced it. She did not fix the missing acrylic or remove all the polish and start over. I think with the way these nails look I should have been issued a refund because now I have to pay to get them taken off and replaced. I have been getting acrylics for over 15 years and this is by far the worst I have ever seen and it is truly embarrassing to go out like this.
I went in for an acrylic nail removal. The women used a metal scraper and dug under my nails to remove them. My nails are RUINED they are covered in gashes and still covered in acrylic. Do not go here.
Sometimes it’s a hit or miss. You have to be vocal with the person who is doing your nails. If you see something wrong, tell them and they will fix it. Remember you are paying money for something that is going to be on you for a whole month or less sometimes, so don’t be afraid to speak up. If you don’t like the color you chose say right away I don’t like this color and you can change it. I advise giving a tip if you do something along those lines but if it’s their fault , then I don’t think a tip is worthy if you didn’t get what you wanted and it’s actually terrible. They don’t push your cuticles back just so you know, because if they did, then, your nails would last longer, but they don’t because they want you to come back and get them filled so they grow out faster. Just a tip. I’ve been going to these people for years, the experience is the same. I always go for the owner to do my nails, I get full set gel, and I picked my color out and I tell her what shape I want. They don’t do crazy designs, so if you’re looking for something Simple you should go here.
The nail technician Vivian did an awesome Manicure and Eyebrows. I was very pleased and satisfied with her service. She was professional and nice. The atmosphere was calm and clean!! I’am diffidently coming back. This is the best place in Scranton. Trust me I have tried other nail salon and was not pleased.
Myself and 2 other people came in for pedicures. The lady painting one of the people I came with’s nails was laughing and judging him for wanting his nails painted. I ended up waiting in the chair for at least 45 minutes with my feet in cold water for them to start my pedicure however I asked them to turn the hot water on and they said they would and I continued to wait. When it became my turn the other 2 people I came with were already done and the lady rushed through washing my feet and then when it came to painting I showed her a photo of a simple spider web for the big toe and she agreed she could do it “no problem” she did it and it looked horrible when she asked me if I “liked it” I was honest and said no, she seemed frustrated and just painted more black over it. I asked her if she could do a simple white line across the big toe with small lines through it to look like a small stitch for Halloween, she agreed to it and started and it and it looked absolutely nothing like what I asked and then she took off half of the black nail polish and re painted it and it was unevenly painted and ended up looking like a 5 year old did it. I understand everyone starts from somewhere learning but if she didn’t feel confident doing it she should’ve just said no, she kept blaming it on my anatomy saying my toe was “too small” or “too wide” the man who did the other persons nails right next to me however did an excellent job and was very nice, he gave them the option of gel color or regular nail polish which I wasn’t offered. For $50 the massage chair was nice however I feel the overall experience was rushed and she could have definitely done better .below is the final product and the “design” she gave me before removing it.
My nails have never looked worse. I went in for a acrylic fill and requested black French tips. I said I wasn’t happy with the way they were done ( they were extremely uneven the shape , the tip, the entire quality of the job was poor and excess acrylic all over my skin and hands) their response to this was that I came in with them messed up and that they see nothing wrong with them. They charged me $50 for this and talked about how rude I was for expressing that I didn’t like the work right in front of me. They “fixed them” and told me not to come back I left in tears. Don’t go here. I came back to upload more photos because I can not BELIEVE HOW BAD THEY LOOK. According to the owner this is her best work …. I cannot believe this
Some of the Photos with half finished polish on here are fake. I have been getting manicures and pedicures for more than 17 years from Lovely Nails. I have never gotten or seen a half completed polish like the ones posted here. The owner and manager Vivian, would never allow her employees to let a customer leave looking like that. I would never go back all these years if that was done even once.
