Quick Facts About Master Restaurant

Master Restaurant has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's begin with the strengths.
One of the notable strengths of Master Chinese Restaurant is its lovely interior design and spaciousness. This creates an attractive atmosphere for customers and allows for comfortable dining, especially for larger groups. The interior decoration is described as elegant and pleasant, contributing to a nice dinner experience.
The fast service is another strength mentioned by one customer. The fact that they were the only ones in the restaurant at the time may have contributed to the speedy service, but it still reflects positively on the restaurant. Additionally, the complimentary prawn crackers before the meal were appreciated by customers and added a nice touch.
Portion sizes at Master Restaurant were consistently described as huge by multiple customers. This can be seen as a strength for those who enjoy generous portions and feel they are getting their money's worth. It also suggests that the restaurant values satisfying their customers.
Furthermore, the option of bubble milk tea is mentioned as a strength. This indicates that the restaurant offers a variety of beverages to complement the dining experience and cater to different tastes.
Now, let's discuss the weaknesses of Master Restaurant based on the comments.
One customer mentioned that the chicken chow mein they ordered was quite dry. This indicates a lack of consistency in food quality, as other customers did not have any issues with their dishes. Inconsistent food quality can be a weakness for any restaurant.
Another criticism that emerged in the comments is the comparison of the food and service to a cafe canteen, rather than a professional restaurant. The mention of "trashy takeaway style food" and "utterly feeble portions of dumpling" suggests a lack of attention to detail in terms of food preparation and presentation. This can undermine the overall dining experience and leave customers feeling disappointed.
The lack of chopsticks and the failure of staff to fulfill a simple request for them is another weakness mentioned in the comments. This reflects a lack of attention to customer needs and preferences. In a Chinese restaurant, the absence of chopsticks can be seen as an oversight and a deviation from an authentic dining experience.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is described as cold, with dim lighting, barely audible music, and tables placed too close together. These factors contribute to a lack of privacy and a less inviting dining environment. It is important for a restaurant to create a positive atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.
The most significant weakness highlighted in the comments is related to the quality of the food. Multiple customers express disappointment with the taste and freshness of certain dishes. The use of excessive flour instead of promised ingredients, such as meat, and the unpleasant taste of the food are major concerns. These criticisms suggest a lack of quality control in the kitchen and can greatly impact customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, Master Restaurant has a number of strengths, including lovely interior designs, fast service, generous portions, and the option of bubble milk tea. However, there are also weaknesses highlighted in the comments, such as inconsistent food quality, lack of attention to detail in food preparation and presentation, absence of chopsticks, a cold and lacking atmosphere, and concerns about the taste and freshness of certain dishes. These weaknesses can undermine the overall dining experience and may lead customers to explore other options in the area.

Our experience in Master Chinese Restaurant was delightful!
Lovely interior designs and a very spacious place. We had a big group, and it being a Saturday night, we were lucky to have come here.
Fried Sweet Potato Fries coated with Salted Egg
Salt and Pepper Tofu
Lamb from the East? (something like that. This was perhaps the most impressive dish.)
Beef Noodles
Sour Vegetable Fish Soup
Salted Egg Custard 'Pau'
Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There's also the option of Bubble milk tea is this restaurant.
Master Chinese Restaurant makes for a good decision when it comes to Chinese cuisine.
Stars are for the fast service (we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time), the complimentary prawn crackers before the meal time, and portion sizes which were huge. The atmosphere was attractive and the interior was pleasantly decorated.
I had the chicken chow mein, which I can only describe as quite dry. As I mentioned, the portion sizes couldn’t be faulted but it needed to be for the price.
Would most likely try somewhere else in Newcastle’s China Town.
Master restaurant interior is beautifully elegant and the lighting is perfect for a nice dinner. The staff were very friendly and the service was very speedy. We ordered the seabass and it came out in a wonderful presentation which can be seen in the picture. The fish was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. There was also some vegetables in the dish which were delicious in the sauce surrounding the fish. Overall great experience and wonderful food. Highly recommend
Grimly disappointing, substandard on all levels.
Cafe canteen style food and service - NOT professional restaurant standard - but charging restaurant prices.
Trashy takeaway style food. Salty Noodles full of spam.
Utterly feeble portions of dumpling. Actually talking the proverbial.
No chopsticks only knife and fork. Ask for chopsticks - never arrived. Stressed amateur staff.
Cold restaurant, (staff were wearing puffs jackets)
Dingey drab dark grey decor.
No atmosphere, music barely audible. Tables too close - no privacy could hear conversations,
Worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to, anywhere in my life.
I actually got alarm bells as soon as we arrived. Should have left ASAP! Regretful experience.
Paid for sick how ridiculous!!! £16的香辣鍋完全沒法吃完.全部都是厚厚的炸粉,分不清哪是肉!居然放薯條在里面!連簡單的炒飯都是平淡無味入面的蝦就像是用滾水滾出來的!
Is totally fake food, is everything flour, no meat or anything they promise in the menu or other without any flavour I try but I’ll never repeat!
After few hours been sick in toilet whole night long, paid for sick how ridiculous!!!
点了烤鱼和酸菜炖肘子。烤鱼一般,感觉不新鲜。
来英国这么多年,吃过的最难吃的中餐了。肉很腥,不新鲜,烤鱼太难吃了!豆花跟麻婆豆腐差不多!
The place is authentic. It wasn’t very busy when I visited and I didn’t make a reservation either. We had a grilled seabass with egg fried rice. The prices are reasonable. The food was super delicious but very spicy. If you are not use to spicy food you need to tell them.
