Quick Facts About Mayfield Village Barber Shop

Mayfield Village Barber Shop, based on the provided comments, has both strengths and weaknesses that should be considered when evaluating the establishment. The strengths mentioned include the pleasant and friendly staff, the ability to provide great haircuts, a clean shop, and the welcoming and familiar atmosphere. On the other hand, there are also concerns about the quality of some haircuts, the use of old or dull tools, and limited payment options.
One of the strengths repeatedly mentioned is the friendly and pleasant staff. Customers appreciate the welcoming and warm atmosphere created by the employees. They feel comfortable and enjoy conversations with the barbers, enhancing their overall experience. This positive customer service can contribute to a loyal customer base as people feel valued and enjoy coming back.
Another strength mentioned is the ability of some barbers to provide great haircuts. Some customers specifically mention the skill of barbers like Stella and Rasa in delivering satisfying haircuts. They appreciate the attention to detail, listening to their requests, and delivering the desired style. This showcases the talent and expertise of these barbers, attracting customers who seek quality haircuts.
The cleanliness of the shop is also mentioned as a strength. Customers note that the establishment is clean and well-maintained. This is essential as it reflects the professionalism and attention to hygiene standards. A clean environment can contribute to a positive experience and make customers feel more comfortable during their visit.
The familial and local-owned feel of the shop is another strength highlighted by customers. They appreciate the non-corporate vibe and the consistency of having the same certified barbers available. This creates a sense of familiarity and trust, as customers can develop a relationship with their preferred barber. Additionally, the shop's support for local businesses can attract customers who prioritize community engagement.
One of the weaknesses mentioned is the inconsistent quality of haircuts. While some customers had positive experiences, others expressed disappointment in the quality of their haircuts. This inconsistency might be concerning for potential customers who prioritize reliable and consistently good results. It is important for the barbershop management to address this issue to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation.
Another weakness highlighted is the use of old or dull tools by some barbers. Customers complain about the lack of blending, the use of outdated scissors, and the overall poor execution of their requested hairstyles. This raises concerns about the maintenance and quality control of tools used by the barbershop, affecting the overall experience and customer satisfaction.
Limited payment options, particularly the absence of credit card acceptance, is another weakness mentioned by customers. This inconvenience can be frustrating for those who prefer electronic payment methods or are not accustomed to carrying cash. Offering more payment options, such as credit card processing, can enhance customer convenience and potentially attract a wider range of customers.
In conclusion, Mayfield Village Barber Shop has several strengths and weaknesses based on customer comments. The pleasant and friendly staff, ability to provide great haircuts, clean environment, and familiar atmosphere are considered strengths. However, concerns about inconsistent haircuts, the use of old or dull tools, and limited payment options are weaknesses that the barbershop should address to improve customer satisfaction and grow its customer base.

Everyone in the barbershop was pleasant and nice to deal with. Unfortunately I received one of the worst haircuts I have ever gotten. I asked for a bald fade and received a buzz cut. The gentleman had no idea what he was doing and followed It up with using an old dull razor to cut the back of my neck. I absolutely wasted $25 on this and I will never go back.
Everyone there has cut my son's hair and all have done a great job. Always a pleasant experience!
First time here. Stella did a great job cutting my hair. Will be back.
Today, Monday during lunch hour, was my first visit to Mayfield Village Barber. I got a great haircut at this traditional barber shop. I was a walk-in. There are three barbers on duty today. Most customers are regulars with appointments. I had a very short wait for my turn. Rasa gave me my haircut today. She listened to what I wanted. She made a good suggestion before she started cutting my hair. She used clippers on the sides and for the taper. She used scissors on the top for a great layered effect. She trimmed my eye brows and ear hair (an issue for older men). She finished with warm shaving cream and a razor to finish off taper and shaved back of neck to remove fine hair. We had a nice conversation during the entire process. I wore a face mask and she worked with my mask effortlessly and efficiently. I will make a reservation here before my next haircut. Yes, I will be a repeat customer. The shop is clean and the entire staff are welcoming. There is limited off-street parking in this mini-strip mall where four to five businesses are located. The parking lot is one-way with entry at the north end and exit from the south end. There is a large grocery store parking lot adjacent to the strip mall. Not sure if none grocery store customers are allowed to use their lot.
The old guy that gave me a haircut was awful. No blending, scissors pulled on my hair because they were so old. Didnt even give me a proper hardline part like I asked- he gave me his opinion saying he didnt really like it. Now I have to go elsewhere and get my hair fixed.
Rasa did an incredible job on my haircut. She paid close attention to detail, was receptive to my requests, and held a great conversation at the same time. She also knew all her customers very well, creating a more welcoming atmosphere to the shop when she’d greet them. Rasa informed me about good scalp care and shampoos. Then she finished my haircut with a straight razor shave on the back of the neck - a nice touch! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a barber. **Cash or check only**
Love this barber shop. They usually have 4 or 5 barbers working, so its not too much of a wait. No credit cards though, so be sure to take cash. All of the barber do a good job, so there is no worry if you prefer the first available barber.
Great haircuts and the atmosphere is pure Cleveland. It's places like these that are small local owned shops that are all family, not the cold corporate feel other places have. Not a rotating staff like all the bad haircut places you hear on the radio, rather the same great certified barbers every time you go. Go there, find a barber you like and start looking better for only a couple more dollars a month than the chain places.
