Additionally, another reviewer mentions a long wait time despite having an appointment and being asked to pay before the service was completed. These instances indicate a lack of good customer service practices.
Overall, Mirage Nails & Waxing at Pike & Rose has strengths in terms of attention to detail, color selection assistance, cleanliness, and long-lasting gel manicures. However, weaknesses are apparent in terms of inconsistent service quality, pricing transparency issues, and inadequate customer service.

**Updated review**
I have stopped going here because my dip gel manicure continued to have chipping, lifting, and breakage after only a week. While they do offer to fix any issues, I simply do not have time to come in that often. I have had great results for the past few months at another salon.

I have been going here for several months now and I really like it (4 stars instead of 5 because I am not familiar with their other services such as pedicures, waxing, etc.). I see Phung for dip gel nails (have also had traditional gel nails) and she does a wonderful job. She is attentive to detail, will help with color selection based on skin tone, and holds genuine conversation. It is a busy location so I get there right when they open or make an appointment. Tip is accepted by cash only!
Absolutely HORRIBLE.
Came here to get acrylics for my vacation and absolutely regret it, i have so much to say.
First, I came with my friend and hers came out amazing however the lady doing my nails was horrible, she charged me extra for coffin nails? not sure if she’s even suppose to do that but either way half of them weren’t coffin at all ????????♀️ One thing i should add me and my friend (both teenagers) came here and although we are teenagers we are aware of how much we are suppose to tip and know how businesses like this work so i’m not sure if they thought we weren’t gonna tip or I DONT KNOW but they still over paid me for 60 dollar nails that didn’t last even 1 week, may i add that i get acrylics from other places all the time and last up to 2-3 weeks. Back to this awful place, they charged me SIXTY DOLLARS for my awful nails that were clearly rushed and had gel polish all over my cuticles, i also never asked for gel polish, the lady doing my nails told me i should get gel since it dries quicker, and i asked how much more that would be? and she asked how mcuh money i had with me and i said 60 dollars which is way over how much the amount they are suppose to me for acrylics with regular nail polish which is 40 dollars and SHE STILL DID GEL AFTER I SAID NO ?! worst place ever do not come here please save your money and go somewhere better! I ignored all the horrible reviews here thinking “oh it’s ok they cant be THAT bad” no. it’s horrible.
Tina was great, first time here, made an appt with her walked right in to her chair when I arrived no wait good customer service, was referred by my good friend Louisa. Nails are nice and then and natural looking. Thank you
My daughters and I have been going to this location and having the same nail technician for over 5 years.
Clean & professional. Doesn’t have an overwhelming acetone/nail polish smell when you walk in. Did a great job and were very friendly. Will definitely come back. Reasonably priced—I got a gel manicure and it was $37.
I am giving this place one star because it won't let me leave zero stars or negative stars. If you just walked in and you are reading this while you are waiting then leave. Run, don't walk. We made an appointment for my daughter for a dip and were told she could be taken in about 15 minutes. We walked in right on time and we waited an hour before she was taken in, even though they were not very busy. The person doing her nails was rude to her. I asked when we booked it how much it would cost and was told $45, when it came time to pay we were charged more, although I was never told there would be an increase in price. I was asked to pay before she was done because they said they had to close out the register. 20 minutes later the same person said the same thing to someone else - in other words they weren't closing anything out. Between the rudeness of the person who serviced my daughter, the long wait, and the bump in price we will never return here. There are so many nail places, there is one around the corner from this place on Old Georgetown Road, you would think they would try to keep customers, but they just don't seem to care.
I usually go to this place to do my nails. Maybe not fanciest, but they are clean and professional. They also give advice on what color works for the occasion and tips on how to take care of my nails for polish to last longer. It's been couple of years and I always had a great experience.
2.5 weeks later and my gel mani is still flawless—no chipping or peeling. Pretty little salon :)
