This place has gone downhill. They used to have amazing, consistent and meticulous braiders, but not any longer. My braids were not uniform nor very neat like I'm used to. I asked for mid back, but what I hot were a few mid back, some shoulder length, some a little past my shoulders. I had 2 braiders. They did not have the same braiding style. The braider at the front made huge knots and the method of braiding was very loose; whereas, the braidedr at the back braided more neatly and consistently. I gave them a 2 instead of a 1 because they did finish my hair within 3 hours. I went here for smedium knotless braids, but ended up getting medium individuals instead of smedium individuals. The parting wasn't very neat either. They also didn't trim the braids neatly during cleanup bc hair is still sticking out from the braids. All in all, it was a waste of money since I really didnt care for the end result. I thought wearing them a couple of days would get me used to them,but I dislike the overall look. I will be taking them out after barely 5 days and going to another, more consistent braider.
Personally, I would never return back to this location or franchise. The wait to be seated was not out of the ordinary, considering I was a walk in appointment. I called ahead to get the best time to come in and I waited for about an hour. I showed my stylist a picture of my ideal style and ended up with something completely different. I wanted to feed in braids going down the back with some color, but the two braids ended up being two different colors. I appreciated that she took them out and replaced them with all black braiding hair, however I am still so unsatisfied with my hair that I am taking it out the same i day I got it put in. It’s not neat and my hair is caked with product. I’ve never had braids this bad before . I would expect this result from a hair school. While I was walking out , a mom also expressed her dissatisfaction with the service. Extremely disappointed.
This experience horrific ???? first time wish I would have read reviews how are these people still in business the time and cost ask for twist it was definitely a MISS after lady finished I complained and ask her to remove this style from. My head which she did but wasn't apologic. Please beware and do not visit to get any type of service Dont know how they are in Business. I have been coming to this shop for about 10 years. I typically get micros or individuals. These ladies are very sweet. Yes they do eat sometimes. Sometimes they are a little unorganized. But 90% of the time the service is quick and the style is cute. This is the only shop I go to. I trust them.
This is absolutely the WORST hair braiding experience I have ever had. First I was quoted one price on the phone and when I got there I was told to pay N extra $20. This also happened to another client who was there at the same time. Next after showing her the style of twist I wanted (Marley) they were hesitant to do them and acted as if they were not able to do them. They complained about the length, the size and the amount of hair they would have to use (as if this isn't their business). Lastly after I settled for a length and size of their choosing, my hair was finished and looked pretty descent. Until a week later, LITERALLY one week later my hair looked like trash. The back of my hair was falling out. They pulled out my edges and my hair looked old FAST. By the second week my hair looked like I had it done 3 months prior. This is the worse experience I've ever had and to top it all off IM AFRICAN! So I wouldn't lie about my experience... Please reconsider going here, the staff is nice, but their quality of work is TRASH!!!!!!!
The last time I got my hair braided here it took damn near 9 hours to get faux locks! NINE HOURS! I paid $180 because of that instead of $200. After a month, went to take them out and they charged $50! My hair is cut low on all sides. It took them 30 minutes to take them out. $50!!! I will never go back! Do Not Trust Them! Horrible service!
Paid 120 that’s not what was negotiated over the phone or upon my arrival,I got updo cornrows into a bun..the hair isn’t full,you could barely make a bun..it looks like she just learning how to braid..didn’t liked what I paid for, not the picture I showed them. Owner put someone else on your hair she’s not the one doing your hair, those other folks not really Expert in hair braiding. Highly upset, highly disappointed, waste of time,waste of money..This is not the kind of black owned business you can support if they cannot fix or make customer Their first priority..I am African myself so it’s not abt all that nonsense we talk abt.i didn’t make a big seen but I do know next time not to go nor recommend someone there.
RUDE... RUDE... RUDE... I went in on a Saturday to get box braids. I asked the lady to stop so I can make sure I liked the size of the braid. She pushed my hand and continued braiding. I finally had to say stop again. When I asked her to do them smaller, she got upset, threw the comb down and walked off in a tantrum like a 2 yr old. Then not even a week later, my hair was coming out of the braids. N my hair is long, mid back long. When I went back, they told me I had to keep calling til I got the lady that did the braids. SMH. Ridiculous. Then one lady started yelling and fussing, in another language.. I refused to keep calling n finally they had some older lady re-do them. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!
