Love this nail salon!! great people who are so talented!! they do an amazing job and the nails last for so long!! Whenever I go in with a nail design in mind, Janie does more then deliver!! She always exceeds my expectations! Definitely recommend.
RUDE STAFF, SERVICES NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
I went to Modern nails three days ago and my manicure is already a MESS. I made an appointment and arrived on time, but I could tell the nail tech I saw was less than enthusiastic to service me. She was extremely curt with me when I asked for what length/shape nail I wanted, hardly spoke unless she was berating me for not following her instructions, and rushed through my appointment. This resulted in the gel not curing all the way through and forming holes in the polish (see attached pics). It looks and feels HORRIBLE.
This is not the first time this has happened to me here, but it will be the last. The last time the same nail tech burned/wounded my nails so bad it hurt for DAYS after. I refuse to give this establishment any more of my money when I am treated so poorly. I would rather spend money and time to learn to do this properly myself than continue to receive subpar service.
Modern nails is the best nail place to go and get your nails done BY FAR. I wouldn't go to another place if you paid me. The girls that work there are extremely talented, friendly, and they actually care about how you feel about your experience at the salon & the work they do. I love them because they can do literally almost anything found online, on pinterest, etc. I myself travel 20 mins from my home every 2-3 weeks to get my nails done by Flower. I have never left without a huge smile. Modern nails or no nails ♡.
Also if there was a wait it was probably because you didn't make an appointment & they are a very popular, busy salon. They don't rush to get done their clients for the next person because they always make sure you leave happy with their work..
Katie did an amazing job on my gel manicure! I wanted a design and she worked her magic. She’s a true artist and pays close attention to detail. First time with her, and she knew exactly what I wanted, without even saying it. All I said was, I’m going on my honeymoon and would love a design and she delivered nails that felt like paradise! So obsessed!
Overall love this nail salon. They always get me in and out quickly and always great quality.
When you drive over 10 plus miles to go to a nail salon, you know its good! Especially considering the fact that these days, there are are as many nail salons as there are Walgreens or CVS!
Not sure whats up with negative reviews below, but as far as a wait goes, I've never had any issues. The fact that there is a wait and there are so many nail techs goes to speak to the quality work that this salon does. They do the same quality work as some of the higher end nails salons in Philadelphia, but without the Philly prices!
Oh, and they sterilize their tools! Not sure how closely some people pay attention to the tools being used, but this salon opens up the sterilized tools right in front of you, which I guarantee most nail salons do not do. Other places pull the tools out of a drawer OR have the tools in an open package and 'pretend' the tools are sterilized. Don't let the blue glowing box fool you into thinking they sterilize their tools - they usually keep it plugged to look like they use it, but trust me, most don't.
The attached picture is from today (January 5th), and I got them done on December 14th. How many people can say their gel polish lasted this long without starting to chip or peel off?
Modern Nails does such quality work, I don't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon!
Flower has been doing my nails for the past year or so. I love coming here, never leave without a beautiful shape and always great work!!!
I’m always nervous trying new nail salons but this one did not disappoint. Hands down one of best sets I’ve ever received. I showed the girl Jada I believe her name was a picture of what I had in mind and she DELIVERED. She did such an amazing job. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Jada !!
I am so happy with how my nails came out. I showed Katie a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. My daughters nails turned out great as well. Highly recommended!
