I never leave reviews, especially bad ones, but this experience was horrible. I got a pedicure and tips with gel polish today. No designs, just white gel polish.
1st problem : I showed the nail tech that the pinky extension was crooked. She looked at it and said “we’re cutting it short it’ll be fine” I left it alone thinking it would be corrected, but I wasn’t. (Picture below) she rushed through doing my nails, the shapes don’t match throughout, definitely was not satisfied.
2nd problem: I spent a total of $90, I put it on my card and left $10 tip in cash, $5 for each tech. I know that may not be a lot, but I thought it was reasonable considering I didn’t even like the work that was done. When I handed the tip to the manager, he looked at it and said “$5 is enough for pedicure but not for nails” it took me a second to realize what he had said and when I looked up, he turned his head to the side and said “goodbye” literally dismissing me. Like I was a peasant. It was so disrespectful, and made me feel so little. And on top of it all I’m 8 months pregnant. I’m sorry but you don’t treat people that way. Last time I checked you’re allowed to tip what you want. A total of $100 which I think is overpriced anyways

The place looks all fancy but the staff is rude. The lady who did my nails was quite harsh and rude. I tipped generously but the work was fast and shoddy. My nails are already ruined despite drying for over 10+ mins. No send off or anything. Didn’t come check my nails. Another one checked and said I’m good to go. Won’t be coming back!
Not a kid-friendly salon
I’ve been coming here faithfully for almost 2 years- some of the techs are nicer than others but after today’s experience I’m done with giving them business. I’ve always recommended this place and tipped well but I’ll be seeking other options in town.
I brought my niece (8) and daughter (5) here for mani pedis. It was their first time. Neither nail techs said hello, or directed them, or even looked at them. They seemed extremely annoyed by their presence as soon as they walked in. I could totally understand someone being annoyed by kids- but these two girls were so well behaved and so excited for the experience. I said hello to the nail tech who did my nails about 3 weeks prior and no response (she did my daughters nails). Okay. Literally zero communication the entire time. My niece asked me the difference between adults getting their nails done and kids and I replied “I’m not sure, maybe it’s a little cheaper for kids”. Her nail tech replied to her in Spanish “there’s no difference- it’s the same price”. Got it- I also speak Spanish. A little strange but okay. Moved on to manicures, still super flat.
My niece smudged one nail while her hand was under the dryer. I apologetically asked if someone could touch it up. This put the tech over the edge and she told her not to move again because she had other clients and she wouldn’t be able to fix it. She was super rude about it and said it to her in Spanish. I’m sure she didn’t know that I understood her. I totally get the minor inconvenience but there was no reason to talk to her that way. My niece told me how embarrassed she was and I told her it happens to everyone at some point- which is true. It could’ve happened to anyone.
No goodbye, no response to thank you, no nothing. Kind of like a “get the hell out of here” feeling. She came back to ask her, again in Spanish, how old she was. Not sure what the point of that was since supposedly kids and adults pay the same price.
When was time to pay, the tab came out to $84. Mind blown.
Please take your kids elsewhere. Or use anyone besides Elsa & Maria. They’ll appreciate it and so will you.
didn’t have acrylics, just soft gel extensions, but it still turned out amazing! (a little disappointed at the cuticle care though)
My first time at this nail salon I was recommended to go by my hairstylist. I wish I would of listen to him and go with who he recommended. I was placed with Maria to do my gel pedicure. As I sat there she told me that it was going to be $3 to take off my gel polish, to me that crazy I’m getting charged $3 to take off gel polish when I’m getting gel again. Then she tells me that the pedicure is $50 so I said okay the problem is not the price is the silly charge of $3 to take off gel polish when I’m getting gel again and I’m not getting the gel taken off correctly. She used the machine to take off the gel polish instead of soaking it off. Maria then gets her manager to come tell me again about the $3 charge. At this point I’m over and uncomfortable about the pedicure. I didn’t get all that the $50 spa pedicure said on their post. Got a max of 7 mins massage, didn’t get the wrap didn’t get the paraffin heel wrap. Just didn’t get the full treatment. Overall it was an bad experience going there for the first time And last time.
Time to find a new nail place. Maria rushed through my gel manicure. As you can see pictured my nails are not shaped alike and when I requested she remove cuticle from a nail that was totally missed she was not happy and rude. Not to mention the polish is not put on evenly. I called to complain and the manager not sure his name, didn't really have much to say other then I will train her better. What should have happened was a credit for another nail tech to fix my nails. Very unfortunate being I have been coming here for close to two years. You know what they say one bad apple spoils the bunch. In this case two. I'd avoid having Maria as a nail tech.
Asked for funny bunny and chrome- the chrome is not visible at all and the polish isn’t even on my nails evenly. Extremely dissatisfied.
This place is an absolute scam. Beware because they will tell you a different price than the service your getting actually is. Also no one is using gloves and they don’t use to protecter on the Pedicure station. So disgusting. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I would recommend soho nails down the block.
