Quick Facts About Nail Bar
Nail Bar has been a longstanding nail salon that has garnered a loyal customer base. Many customers praise the professionalism and cleanliness of the establishment, noting that the salon upholds a certain standard that is not found in other salons. The nail technicians are highly skilled and provide quality work consistently. Customers appreciate that their nails do not chip or break, which speaks to the longevity of the manicures and pedicures provided by Nail Bar. The reputation of the salon is also evident in the fact that customers express disappointment when they go elsewhere to get their nails done.
However, there have been some negative experiences shared by customers. One customer recounts how their gel manicure started to come off within three days, despite being told that it should last for two weeks. When they went back to the salon to express their dissatisfaction, they were blamed for not asking the nail technician about their options and were told that gel nails are not meant to last that long. This interaction with management was described as rude and condescending. Another customer also had a poor experience with a technician who was rough during the manicure, resulting in cuts and sore fingers. They felt that the technician may not have been properly trained or there may have been a language barrier. This has caused the customers to question whether they will continue going to Nail Bar.
There was also a customer who mentioned a change in management, stating that it has improved the overall experience at Nail Bar. They continue to receive great service at reasonable prices and have never had a negative experience at the salon. This suggests that the change in management has positively impacted the salon's operations.
It is worth noting that there is feedback regarding specific technicians. One customer mentioned that a technician named Lisa was rude and rough during their pedicure, causing discomfort and delays. They even claimed that Lisa's behavior may be racially motivated. On the other hand, a long-term customer named April was praised for doing a good job on the customer's nails. However, the same customer expressed confusion when April refused to provide service without providing any explanation.
Another customer had an issue with the customer service at Nail Bar. They arrived for a pedicure and were told to wait for half an hour, but then witnessed another customer being immediately seated and attended to. When they questioned this, the employee stated that the other customer had specifically requested a certain technician. This inconsistency in treatment and lack of consideration for all customers was seen as poor customer service.
Furthermore, one customer had an overall negative experience with the salon. They felt that the technicians rushed through the service and provided a poor job. They also mentioned an incident where a rude lady rushed them during the drying process, further contributing to their dissatisfaction with the salon.
In summary, Nail Bar has a strong reputation for professionalism, cleanliness, and quality work. The experiences of customers indicate that there may be some inconsistencies in service quality and customer service. There have been instances of gel nails not lasting as expected, rough treatment by certain technicians, and questionable customer service practices. While some customers have had positive experiences, these negative encounters may impact the overall perception of the Nail Bar place.

Always professional & clean. I've been going here since I was in High School. Sooo worth the wait. There's a standard upheld here that you don't find at other salons. ALLL of the ladies are awesome nail techs. Quality work every single time. My nails never chip or break. I'm always disappointed when I go somewhere else to get nails done but I live too far come regularly.
A week ago, I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. After less than three days, the gel nail started to come off. I've been told on several occasions that the gel nail is supposed to last for two weeks. I went back to the establishment and fixed it. A couple of days later, another nail started coming off. So, I went back and asked to speak to a manager, to tell them that they either need to replace both hands and my pedicure or give me my money back. They opted to only pay me for my gel manicure. On top of this, I got blamed for their inefficiencies. I was told that I should have asked the nail technician on whether I could get the gel or I should get the powder thing. First of all, I never heard of the powder thing until last night. Second, the nail technician should look at my nails and let me know, whether I should do gel or not. They need to advise me on what is best. The manager also told me that it is not true that gel nails are supposed to last for two weeks, but that all nail salons tell people this. She says that it is based on how brittle your nails are. I've been going to this nail salon for the past three years and they have never asked me if I wanted gel or powder. I ask for gel, they give it to me, with no other questions asked. So, is this false and misleading advertising? To blame the customer is so unprofessional and unacceptable. The manager was extremely rude and condescending. The appropriate response should have been "I am sorry that this happened to you." "We will take the appropriate actions, that this doesn't happen again. But I was berated, for something that was their fault. Never again!!
I love the Nail Bar in Wheaton. I have been coming here for years. There was a recent change in management and in my opinion it has gotten better. Great service, reasonable prices, and my nails/feet always look great. I typically get a manicure w/gel nail polish and regular spa pedicure. I read some of the negative reviews posted but that has never been my experience at Nail Bar.
I'm writing because this is the first time that I've gotten a poor mani/pedi at Nail Bar. While it's not a luxurious place, it's convenient. It could be cleaner and less cluttered. I usually get Hannah who is wonderful but she was not there on the day I went in. I have sensitive nail beds and I specifically asked the technician to not do the cuticles, just push back and trim gently. This technician was so rough, she cut my skin twice, and filed so roughly that the tips of my fingers hurt for days. Perhaps she was not properly trained or language was a problem, but I will have to think twice about going there again. And the hand massage only lasted 10 seconds. This was a very negative experience. I would have done 1 star, but I like the other people who work there. Management: please do some quality control and staff training.
I have been going to April for atleast 2 years. She has done a good job doing my nails. However, she refused my service and told me that she couldn’t do my service anymore. I was so confused because I normally go to her to get my arylics done. I just think it’s very unprofessional to tell your client that your not doing their service and not telling them a reason why. Well looks like I’ll be finding another technician to do my nails.
Don't go to Lisa! She's so rude. She burnt me with scalding hot water when I asked her for warmer water for my pedicure. She was very rough and aggressive with my pedicure and dug her nails into my skin. She also kept talking to other employees and made me wait about 10 minutes for my pedicure. I believe she's racist so if your a black woman I wouldn't recommend her. All the other ladies are very nice. I've never had a problem with anyone but her
I went to get a pedicure and was told to wait half an hour. After waiting 20 minutes, a lady walked in who was told to wait half an as well.
But she went in and sat at one of the chairs where they actually do nails. The next thing I know someone started to do her nails. When I asked what was going on, the employee told me she requested a specific employee. They didn’t even take appointments that day because it was day before thanksgiving. I decided to not get my nails done. They didn’t even care. The worst customer service I have ever seen. They don’t treat every customer equally.
Despite the outward appearance do not go to this place they can't do nails, can't paint, and my tech was shady. Slid my car in her pocket and then was acting busy like she forgot to check me out. I should have left before they finish do not go to this place complete waste of money. They rush and do a piss poor job. And when my nails were being dried some rude lady was like get up I need this seat get up now rushing me. They won't ever get a dime from me hope they close down that salon
